i love Death metal (like Cannibal Corpse, Amon Amarth, Aborted etc.) but love this band. When I listened this song in car with my girlfriend, she watched me and she said: When have you become gay? :) still love 'em
My only son, James, f31 😢 5-3-24. I don't understand but I do but I don't. This song. I don't hate you. I just want to save you while there's still something left to save. a song like this hits different when you suddenly find yourself in a position where the lyrics you used to recklessly bang to in youth suddenly describe your situation on a deeper level
I miss you so much, Treyfer. 😭💔 10 years today and it never gets easier.... You were my best friend, my first love, and then you were suddenly just gone... I wish I could have saved you but you didn't want to be saved. I just hope you're happy now and no longer in pain.
Songs like this from the mid-late 2000s kill me every time I listen to them, oh how much I wish I could relive my teen years again... We were loud, crazy and goofy. Everything seemed shinier one decade ago, so many new technology were invented. Now we have everything handed to us and this national wide hatred spreading, I'm glad that I had my fun 10 years ago
That punk wail, "Woah-oh-oh-oh-oh" is fucking iconic. It's like "Smoke on the water", "Stairway to Heaven", or "Smells like Teen Spirit" opening riff. I'm 34 and pop-punk, emo, metalcore was all during my teen and formative years. I know I can't go back but this music made me who I am today. I'm so nostalgic for it.

As a 36 year old married woman with children, house, career… this song brings me back to the times when I was happiest but not the most fulfilled. And to think… there’s an almost 40 year old man out there that thinks of 22 year old me every time he hears this. I think I’d probably risk it all to feel the way I did back then. I hope you’re doing good. 🖤

Fenrir It simply helped me flesh out a romance between two characters I had been really struggling with. TL;DR, I was fine with it, except for the Old Republic because it's rediculously far away from the movies to be erased. Apart from that, I'll continue to be fine with it if they brought more EU characters back instead of just making the EU character a different character even though they're so obviously the same character, IE: Jacen Solo and Kylo Ren. As far as Star Wars, definitely a fan. Honestly I can understand Disney screwing with the EU, except for the Old Republic which happens to be my favorite era for how much they explored the force. Everything was far more mystical.I just dont get why it needed to be erased when it was so far away as far as time that nobody in the OT knew about it. Yoda knew about it, I believe Anakin mentions the Old Republic ONCE, but apart from that, it's a forgotten era that wouldn't interfere with the new movies at all. I would prefer it if they went to the EU instead of inventing new things, for example, they could've brought back Jacen Solo, but they kinda just through Kylo Ren at us, who's essentially the same character. They wouldn't have to bring everything back, they could've at least just gotten him back. Holy shit this is a long rant...
Papa Ramen I always love basing stories off of what the soundtrack would be. I've never stuck to any of my ideas since it's obviously not a good way to create a story but it's pretty fun.
I somehow went 15 years without ever hearing this song. Heard it a few months back thanks to the Spotify algorithm and this masterpiece is now my favourite song! Going to see them in Tilburg in February!
I remember hearing this song on the radio and only remembering the title of the song and how good it was. It's been in the back of my mind for a while and I'm glad I rediscovered it
Sucks while going through it but it's nice to know that this song is helping you get through. Going through tough times would be the easiest way to describe what I've got going on. I heard this song on the radio about a week ago n I've also been taking refuge in it. I fucked up n violated Parole on top of everything going on so I gotta turn myself in real soon... It's really hard to willingly go to the police station or wherever n say hey lock me up now please.. gotta do it though cause my life is on pause until I do my time n get back out. It's looking like I'll be doing somewhere between 6-36 months. Probably do 1-2yrs. I'll make it through n build myself a good life. Keep your head up brother! You can get through anything. Just reach out for help n keep talking with people. It sure has helped me through a lot. I'm 32 from just outside Philly. Enough bullshit to go around, around here lol
Rise Against music is kinda like country music. It sounds amazing, the lyrics are beautifully written, and the meaning of the song changes as you approach a different stage of life.

Thought of this song, played it here, listened to the lyrics again and then realised what has prompted the thought. I introduced Anna to Rise Against, when we were both in love. It's strange to think that the amazing connection that we had never really resulted in anything. Still, hopefully she thinks of me and remembers me fondly, as I do with her. More than that I hope, with G-d's grace, she's found the happiness that she deserves.

It kills me not to know this,
これを知らない何て死ぬほど辛いけど
but I've all but just forgotten
僕はただ忘れてしまったんだ
What the color of her eyes were, and her scars or how she got them
彼女の目の色も、彼女の傷のことも
As the telling signs of age rain down,
古くなってくのを感じされられて
a single tear is dropping

Through the valleys of an aging face, that this world has forgotten
歳をとり世間から忘れ去られたその顔に。
There is no reconciliation that will put me in my place
自分のホームに戻る機会はもう来ない
And there is no time like the present, to drink these draining seconds
そして酒でこの現実を飲み干す時代も終わってしまったよ
But seldom do these words ring true, when I'm constantly failing you
いつも君を理解し損なう僕が、時々響かせる真実なんて君には届かない
Like walls that we just can't break through, until we disappear
2人が消えるまで打ち破れない壁みたいだよ

But I'm not the answer for the questions that you still have,
君のことは愛してるけど、君の求めるものは僕にはないんだ、と僕は返したんだ
whoa, whoa
And the day pressed on like crushing weights
日々が重くのしかかった
For no man does it ever wait
それは誰のことも待ってくれないんだ
Like memories of dying days
どん底だった時の記憶のようだ
That deafen us like hurricanes
ハリケーンの中にいるように何も聞こえない
Bathed in flames we held the brand
僕らの汚名を炎で洗った
Uncurled the fingers in your hand

Pressed into the flesh like sand
砂に埋もれるように肉に埋もれた

Hardcore punk? Your joking right? Try some Raised Fist, Sick of it all, The Ghost Inside, then comeback and re-evaluate your hardcore punk comment.
i love Death metal (like Cannibal Corpse, Amon Amarth, Aborted etc.) but love this band. When I listened this song in car with my girlfriend, she watched me and she said: When have you become gay? :) still love 'em
mainstream metal is boring to me but only a few are exceptions. This is one of them, not bad, but could use a little more :p

“There’s nothing left to save…” I felt that.
This band was far ahead of its time. We need more like them today in 2022.
why was? they are still around...
They’re literally on tour…… why are you talking about them like they’re dead?
Why isn't anyone talking about the drummer ? That's what makes the song for me.
It's all-around good, but yea, drummers are crucial and often forgotten
Exactly ☝️
Yo this drummer made me wanna learn the drums fr
He was dope too
yeeep, but when they throw the drums my heart breaks
2:13 - The bridge guitar octaves reminds me of Bush - Machinehead. Savior has so many hooks in it, best pop punk song of all time.
I'm so nostalgic for it.

my dear God. I was sobbing from nostalgia. when I discovered this song, I was free. I didn't have that many serious problems like today. Xieo TV Almost all Rise Against songs do man
My Older Brother William was 12 years old and I was 7 years old when Rise Against released "Savior" on October the 7th of 2008.
May I ask, what about your current life is leaving you less happy than how you were? I mean, what would you change to feel the same?

The song blew my mind... I was 24 when I heard it.. still blows my mind
This song, believe it or not, inspired me in the creation of a story I'm working on.
What do you mean
If it ever becomes a movie, it'll have a great soundtrack ;)
Papa Ramen I always love basing stories off of what the soundtrack would be. I've never stuck to any of my ideas since it's obviously not a good way to create a story but it's pretty fun.
same here with us
