However, most small farmers are incredibly invested in the welfare of the animals. They're living beings who deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.
Just because we rear a calf for the meat, doesn't mean it's easy to let them go. It's heartbreaking sometimes, but... we have to eat, and people in cities have to be fed, too.
Humans are omnivores, our bodies require meat to function. It's not just the iron, we also need the protein and the enzymes (seriously, look up the study done about what happens to the brain without animal proteins).
Vegans can survive with their protein substitutes, but the bulk of the population can't afford that overpriced "organic" sh*t.
Farmers also provide the grains, fruits, and veggies you all eat. Without our animals, we would have to use extremely poisonous and environmentally toxic fertilizers if we didn't have their manure.
Besides, cows aren't nearly as cuddly and wholesome as you think. They're also huge af, and getting stepped on may very well sever a toe. Those hooves are f**king sharp.

The actors for both main characters mentioned that before a sex scene, and i quote, "She did shots while he did pushups" to be able to mentally check out enough to go through them.
A new layer is added considering how the first movie was directed by a woman who got promptly fired and got into serious fights on site with the writer for shooting the first one and making a few alterations for it to play in a more tasteful (as tasteful as you can be with the material, that is) way while the other two were directed by men, which can be noticed, as Kenny said with "he always has his jeans barely down", in a far more male centric way and far more faithfully to the books (which could be related to the writer being the *author's husband*).
Also interesting to remember that the author very clearly holds very christian or at least conservative values (notice how Christian enjoying BDSM is seen as the font of all his problems, how it derives from being an S.A. survivor instead of just being a sexual practice, how all his previous partners are "broken" and become stalkers, how him not wanting kids is something to be changed for the better, etc)
You only have to watch a couple of interviews from their press tours to realize just how much they both absolutely loathed to be a part of the franchise, more Jamie than Dakota. I find it both hilarious and troublesome 😂

For example, the house that Christian buys in Freed after they're married--in the book, he buys it in Darker and then uses it to guilt Ana into marrying him.
In the book Grey yanks a tampon OUT OF HER HOO HA so they can have sex while she's on her period.

There`s a lot wrong with these movies but I find it especially icky that Christian magically changed his mind about having children. Becoming a parent is a hard job that need responsible ppl for it. This movie (and many many other movies) treat it as a little something you do for your partner. Not as a lifelong decision!

Why do these stories act like most people in the world don't discuss about having kids, and proceed to use that as a drama point? Like it's so dumb how people in stories and even real life don't have this make or break talk before getting married, and then proceed to point fingers at each other about who tricked who into the relationship for whatever reason 😑
