I tried to visit isle of sky. Gave up too busy. no parking spaces at each stop. left after a few hours. go back in winter without the crowds. Bealach na Ba is a must do, with a bit of snow. Amazing.
Love your videos been follow you longtime now love your commentary. Love Skye we did a 19 days trip from plymouth up the west coast visited Sky and mull over the top and down the east coast. Shamed to say as a tugger with caravan hope to go back with our van conversion sometime😊.
Some amazing places you've shown us, and 100% agree on the fact going back in the winter! I reckon it will change your views on everything, stay safe ✌️
Brilliant video loved the waterfalls and the fantastic scenery . I went to the isle of Sky many years ago, and there was no bridge at that time. Cheers Kev
Hi, love your enthusiasum! You are very close to the village of Staffin where you can drive down to the beach and see the dino footprints - pretty similar to what you saw. Great shop in Staffin to top up on food!
@iNDI_VAN_A_JONES If it's the one I think, the fishermen use it to get down to the jetty. Could be a great stopover right by the sea. We stayed at a cottage there before we bought our MH, but went there in a VW mini bus. Enjoy the rest of your tour!
Hi mate I get you with the too many people around tourist attractions Get your arse over to Ireland, in particular Donegal and a wee part of the WAW. I go twice a year (work permitting)and finding new favourite place every time, it ain't too busy either. Dolphins, whales and seals in abundance in and around Donegal Bay. Love the channel mate 👍
bloody amazing. we must have passed each other, i was driving out of sky due to weather coming in and you were arriving. would have said hello if i saw you.
@@iNDI_VAN_A_JONES I agree, we left last Friday and headed south. and you showed a few places we went to but we had glorious sunshine while we were there. and yes many maniacs around there. no respect for campers or any vehicle really. enjoy your time there and surrounding areas.
That steep, steep road to the Quiraing was not fun. The edges of the road look like they want to eat your tyres if you go off the road, people coming down in front of us and cars behind us. Then, as we got to the top in our LWB sprinter 3 cars were parked on the hairpin. So we're stopped on that hill waving frantically at them to move, wheels spinning as we get started again. Very stressful. We'll only go there again if we go from the other side of the island. Overall we loved Skye as our first trip in our new van last year and can't wait to go back.
I went 2nd week of November last year (2023) and it was amazing. hardly any tourists which made stopping at the multitude of POI's sooo much better. No midges then either :P. Only rained one morning for a wee bit while visiting Coral beach. So, if your thinking of going back with less tourists, clearer (albeit slightly colder) weather and no midges then end Oct/start Nov I would say is your best bet. /slange
Have a look at the start of the film alien Prometheus My wife loves the alien films so we traveled from mid Wales to the isle of Skye just to see & walk the old man of storr 😂 & well we were there we had a look around as well 😉
Shame you never got up to Neist Lighthouse , has to be in good weather to make it worthwhile though , last time I was around Isle Of Sky there were no pay to park car parks at The old man of stor or Fairy Pools it was all roadside parking , people almost at blows trying to get into a space if anyone left 🤣
I really like that you have no pointless music in your videos and they're just about sharing info👌🏼

I may take a trip to mull soon. Looks amazing over there
Thank you for all the points on Google Maps. Great video just caught up with all your other videos.
Thanks for watching :)

Cracking video, and I do love rain, so this would be ideal for me! Maybe when it's less busy though

I saw that on Google map but the road looked to small for my van to turn around at the end

Hi mate
I get you with the too many people around tourist attractions

i'm told ireland is wrecked and beyond saving. Only worth going to say goodbye. :(
Brides Veil falls is one of my favourites but you need to go outside midge season. I’ve been at end of October and it’s a lot quieter on the roads
bloody amazing. we must have passed each other, i was driving out of sky due to weather coming in and you were arriving. would have said hello if i saw you.
There was so many vans on the island

Looks amazing.
Missin’ Nat Ex mate? 😂😂 Awesome vid by the way 👍 Keep it up!
The only thing I miss is the coats haha
I’m not surprised by that. Done service work for 2 of the big three and the best thing I got was the waterproof coats too 🤦🏻

I'm not back to skye until winter I think. It disappointed me but looked like it'll be amazing if it wasn't busy

👌👌👌👌
can confirm they were footprints
Oi oi crafter boy 🏴🏴🇬🇧
Don't worry mate, I can't read Scottish either !!
Skye far too busy
not really. its been raining and cloudy all year. not many people as a result .
It depends on the time of year you go. Miss out the school holiday etc .
Skye’s a victim of its own success. Loads to see but no proper amenities. Can I ask why you have a saltire tattoo?
100% it's beautiful but over crowded
