Wow, the green, the open space just a brilliant share, thanks so much you have a new friend here and im looking forward to your future videos and share on your adventures
I really enjoyed your Isle of Skye videos. Very nicely done! My wife and I will be traveling to Scotland in May of next year and are very much looking forward to visiting the sites you covered. As a McLeod, I’m especially eager to visit Dunvegan after dreaming of it for years! Keep up the great work, and thank you!
Thank you so very much for your kind comment! We absolutely loved Dunvegan Castle, the history, the gardens, everything! And we are sure you will not be disappointed! Hope you have an amazing trip next year! 🤗🤩 thanks again!
Thank you very much Debbie! Glad that the timestamps are helpful 😊 Is there anything else you think will be helpful to add in future videos? Have a great weekend!
What wonderful memories your children will carry with them. They seem so at easy walking over that carpet of amazing shades of green grass and the blue skies. So relaxing 🙌
Wow, this video guide to the Isle of Skye is absolutely amazing! It's packed with all the information and stunning visuals of the island's must-visit spots. I have to say, Old Man of Storr is my favourite, but I found Fairy Pools to be overrated. It was so incredibly busy when we visited, and so MANY midges haha 😂 Thanks for sharing this guide, it's truly inspiring! 🏔🌿
Thanks for watching! The video is a part 2 covering five locations in the whole Isle of Skye. What other info would you like on the Fairy Glen and Quiraing? Happy to help answer what I can 😊
Hello, such a beautiful video! We are currently planning a trip to Scotland and wanted to know for the Quiraing, what month and time of month was this video filmed? Thanks!
Thank you, and glad it was helpful! We rented ours from "Go Explore Scotland" in Glasgow, before we went as most companies were getting sold out as it got closer to our trip!
That's a tough question! We would say yes for the experience, but there are pros and cons for sure in driving the motorhome: Pros - you can most times park closer to where you want to visit the next day - the ease of having everything with you nearby and cooking is great! -you get a great view from the drive too due to the height of the motorhome Cons: -it is difficult to park sometimes outside of campsites, as some parking areas do not allow larger vehicles -it was a little stressful driving in smaller roads, as it felt like the oncoming traffic was going to scrape us, especially larger trucks driving crazy fast -many campsites we wanted to stay at near the beaches (on the West coast) were fully booked so early on, and there was nowhere else we could park nearby, that we had to give up on those locations. Not sure if this helps you, feel free to ask more questions :)
@@ourfamilyadventures_04 Great insight! So if you had one of those ebikes they offer, would that have reduced the need for parking in town where you could have parked outside of town and ebiked around the town?
I guess it depends on how far away you are parked...we used the motorhome when we drove through the Highlands, so everything was a little more distant. For now an e-bike would not have worked because of our youngest child, but that might be a fun idea when they are both older! Honestly I don't think we saw anyone on bikes in those areas.
Good question! We can see several places where there are new trees planted, they are protected so that I guess the animals such as deer or sheep… don’t eat them before they are established and stronger
There is a scam going on with the Quiranng parking. If you leave your car in the coach parking outside the main car park by mistake, the warning signs being so small that you don't even notice them, even if you pay, the Highland parking attendants will fine you. It seems that it is a regular thing, that they come up in their van and spot fine people parked in the wrong place. It seems to be a money making exercise. Several people got fined while we were there and other people told us of the same. Beware !

Thank you Aelita, you are so kind! Some spots can definitely get crowded for sure, and yes the midges love feasting on us when there's no breeze🫣 😂

Muito obrigado pelo apoio!!
I was confused it was Titled fair glen and alarmist little information about it. And quirain; I guess I’ll find out. ❤

I appreciate your lovely comment! The video was shot in mid June, so you can expect similar breathtaking views during your trip to Scotland :)
@@ourfamilyadventures_04 Perfect. Thank you!
This is such an amazing video. It really helps me to plan for our family trip to Scotland. How do we go about renting the motorhome?
Thank you, and glad it was helpful! We rented ours from "Go Explore Scotland" in Glasgow, before we went as most companies were getting sold out as it got closer to our trip!
@@ourfamilyadventures_04 if you had to do it again would you have rented the motorhome or just get a vehicle and use airbnb?
That's a tough question! We would say yes for the experience, but there are pros and cons for sure in driving the motorhome:
Pros
- you can most times park closer to where you want to visit the next day
- the ease of having everything with you nearby and cooking is great!
-you get a great view from the drive too due to the height of the motorhome
Cons:
-it is difficult to park sometimes outside of campsites, as some parking areas do not allow larger vehicles
-it was a little stressful driving in smaller roads, as it felt like the oncoming traffic was going to scrape us, especially larger trucks driving crazy fast
-many campsites we wanted to stay at near the beaches (on the West coast) were fully booked so early on, and there was nowhere else we could park nearby, that we had to give up on those locations.

hi guys! welcome, glad to have you here 🤗
Why is there so few trees regrowing from the clearances?
Good question! We can see several places where there are new trees planted, they are protected so that I guess the animals such as deer or sheep… don’t eat them before they are established and stronger
