In general CEX are a horrible company, they buy for next to nothing then mark up to extortionate rates, they never offer you the full A price, everything is always B grade and recently they've been caught creating fake covers for old rare games so they can sell them for more money, and yeah I don't mean simply printing covers off the internet, I mean creating fake covers that never existed complete with trademarked logos and official markings for ERSB/ESA ratings that never existed as well. Anecdote: My brother bought a PS4 brand new, he plugged it in and played on it for about 2 hours then went back to his PC and never touched it again. It sat there for months untouched so he decided to take it into CEX. Immediately the lad behind the counter said "yeah that's B grade that" pretty much before he'd even touched it. I asked him to explain why and he said it was B grade because the box had a tiny tear in the corner where it had been opened. I pointed out that they offered more for A grade unboxed than B grade boxed and said we'd just keep the box and take the extra £10 and he initially refused to take it saying he couldn't because he'd seen the box. When we asked him to get his supervisor he agreed to accept it without a box and quoted the A grade price. We left it with them to test and returned in 30 minutes and immediately my brother was told the price he had been told was an "old price from before the system had updated" and that they could only offer him £10 less than what they quoted him. I asked them to explain and he said that every time an item is accepted for testing their computer contacts head office and asks for a price update and the price he initially quoted was "pre update". I called bullshit straight away and told my brother to take it back pointing out that they had loads of PS4s on display and not only were they all priced at the A grade price but also that none of them had been price altered by the system update. We took it to cash converters instead, they tested it Infront of us within 5 minutes, offered him more than CEX and paid him cash, we were out of the store in 10 minutes flat. They're scammers, plain and simple.

funny thing is, I did do something along those lines and built a "tv-box" that you can even mount on the vesa mount on the backside of a tv: CPU: AMD Athlon 200GE 2C/4T 3.2GHz with a Vega 3 GPU integrated RAM: 2x G.Skill NT Series 4GB, DDR4-2133 Mainboard: ASUS Prime A320I-K Chassis: Inter-Tech MW-02 all in all about 200€ and still more powerfull than that pos wish computer, heh!

Especially since you need a 'critical mass' of thermite for a chain reaction. I use Magnesium Ribbon to start my Thermite xD that burns at 4000F
It's not explosive. It's just a fire hazard. Incidentally, that's the main reason lithium batteries are restricted; they can be explosive and do go up in a fireball, unlike this which will just produce a bit of smelly smoke and pop a circuit breaker.

I actually never got trash from aliexpress. I always buy stuff I don't need tomorrow from there and it always worked and was in decent quality for the price, sometimes even surprisingly good. i tested different stuff, from outdoor things, to LED lights, a red dot, pipe cleaner, after shave, shaving blades (ok, they were US reimport), etc.

Well, I can tell you this: if your motherboard has the display system BEFORE VGA and your CPU is from 2007, you're going to have a bad time. This computer might have been cutting edge a decade and a half ago, but times have changed. I got an old Acer laptop from 2007 (runs on windows XP) and it can barely run firefox before forcing you to close all the tabs since it only has 1GB of RAM.

If a card has VGA, it's not going to be a 9xx series or later, because that's when nVidia stopped putting VGA analogue in the chipset. The 730 is about five years old, and not really high-powered anyway. A genuine 750 would be OK, but good luck finding one. I put a stack of 500 GB drives in a RAID array, and from that experience I would say Wish is definitely over-priced. Today I bought a 750 GB drive from my local Cex branch for £18, and that's a High Street shop.
Wish is just a platform. All the sellers are individual sellers, so they can can claim their product is whatever they want. It's basically Craigslist but worse.

I had a computer that used one at one point....actually, come to think of it, that PC is still kicking it. I sold it cheap to a friend after I built an upgraded rig. Not top of the line at this point by any means but you can still do lots with it.
Yep, still decent enough for a browser pc, but Xeon mods were a better value, though at this point you can probably find a q6600 being junked for about 50 bucks if you look around, and that's the entire machine.
They were great. I had one until I accidentally gave it 1.9V for a couple of weeks. It still runs, but doesn't overclock at all now. Replaced it with a modded 771 Xeon E5450
I salivated over that processor for YEARS. The only reason I didn't get it was because I waited a couple of more years to build my PC, so I ended up going with an AMD FX-8350 (which probably had twice the power of the Q6600 or more).

The PC didn't start as the HDD was corrupted and I thought I could fix it (with very minimal PC knowledge at the time) and tried flicking the red switch on the PSU and it exploded right near my ear, I wasn't hurt but my ear was ringing for the next half hour and the power in the upstairs part of the house was blown. That was my lesson learnt that day.
My daughter and I recently salvaged enough junk to get a 1st gen athlon up and running. Excellent for running mech warrior 3 and heating the "workshop"

For many items the customers do not care if the item is a knock-off or not because also the knock-off works fine and is cheaper than the original. But it is not wise to order any electronics or clothes from Wish because those usually have horrible quality.

I always buy stuff I don't need tomorrow from there and it always worked and was in decent quality for the price, sometimes even surprisingly good. i tested different stuff, from outdoor things, to LED lights, a red dot, pipe cleaner, after shave, shaving blades (ok, they were US reimport), etc.

In Australia, secondary students year 7 to 9 have to use chrome books and its one hell of a shitty laptop, the only redeeming thing about it is battery life which 10 hours even if they degrade and they can drop the older they are, ive seen one of my friends last an hour without charge and die. In can’t even handle about 5 tabs which is even worse if your online learning

Well, I can tell you this: if your motherboard has the display system BEFORE VGA and your CPU is from 2007, you're going to have a bad time. This computer might have been cutting edge a decade and a half ago, but times have changed.
I got an old Acer laptop from 2007 (runs on windows XP) and it can barely run firefox before forcing you to close all the tabs since it only has 1GB of RAM.

If a card has VGA, it's not going to be a 9xx series or later, because that's when nVidia stopped putting VGA analogue in the chipset. The 730 is about five years old, and not really high-powered anyway. A genuine 750 would be OK, but good luck finding one.
I put a stack of 500 GB drives in a RAID array, and from that experience I would say Wish is definitely over-priced. Today I bought a 750 GB drive from my local Cex branch for £18, and that's a High Street shop.

I had a computer that used one at one point....actually, come to think of it, that PC is still kicking it. I sold it cheap to a friend after I built an upgraded rig. Not top of the line at this point by any means but you can still do lots with it.
Yep, still decent enough for a browser pc, but Xeon mods were a better value, though at this point you can probably find a q6600 being junked for about 50 bucks if you look around, and that's the entire machine.
They were great. I had one until I accidentally gave it 1.9V for a couple of weeks. It still runs, but doesn't overclock at all now. Replaced it with a modded 771 Xeon E5450
I salivated over that processor for YEARS. The only reason I didn't get it was because I waited a couple of more years to build my PC, so I ended up going with an AMD FX-8350 (which probably had twice the power of the Q6600 or more).

I actually found an old Windows XP PC last year which had one of those PSUs with a red switch. The PC didn't start as the HDD was corrupted and I thought I could fix it (with very minimal PC knowledge at the time) and tried flicking the red switch on the PSU and it exploded right near my ear, I wasn't hurt but my ear was ringing for the next half hour and the power in the upstairs part of the house was blown. That was my lesson learnt that day.
My daughter and I recently salvaged enough junk to get a 1st gen athlon up and running. Excellent for running mech warrior 3 and heating the "workshop"

Yeah wish does that, they sell old ass cards and they label then as the(for exemple) gtx 1050 ti ( I watch a video of a guy, the drivers acused the card of being a 1050 ti but it was modded, in reality it was a old g 430, he latter in the video proved that by disassembled the card and in the GPU chip it was written g 430)
In conclusion: don't buy electronics on wish, actually don't buy anything there.
