The little filter is called a pop off filter, it makes the psssh noise when you change gear or let off the go pedal. OEM It should normally have a pipe there that goes from where the filter is connected back to the black pipe thats sat on top of the heat shield going back into the underside of the airbox. Nice little car and in resale red to boot 😆

Great video as usual. The little filter is for the whoosh sound when you hit the clutch between gears. Dump valve effect. Normally there is a pipe from that point into the turbo which has been capped off.
The little filter is a blow off value. Gives a turbo swoosh. The Avons are very good tyres. I am running then on one of my Abarths of the same age and mileage which I have fully facelifted in the same 111A paint colour.
Just love the Abarth! The sound is amazing! I’ve got Hankook on mine and certainly don’t rate them particularly in the wet it’s like driving on ice! Hopefully this will be a quick turnaround for you. All the best Paul for 2024

Not to much body work to do! might want to check the suspension & steering geometry quite carefully as that front tyre looks like a concussion blow out to me so the bottom arm ect might have taken a bit of a wack! shame a bout the cat "N" rating!, that considered id place it at the £4.250 to £4.750 range for resale also dependant on if you can source the service history! but all in all a nice car and as we know "price range "Arbarth,s usually sell well and quickly!
Cracking car Paul looking forward to the rebuild,is the little red filter a oil breather catch can got one similar on my clio ;(, renaults great idea to vent the crack breather pipe into the throttle body catches all the gunk.
Looks a decent car Paul, a local locksmith can easily pick the lock on the petrol cap mate and cut you a key for £18…👍🏻. If I get cars with no keys I normally get my local auto lock smith to do that. Thanks again for the mention Paul, it’s such a shame Bowie my PDR don’t travel as far as you…he’s spot on..

@@jt500_salvage Seeing as front tyres are split I'd have a good look underneath before declaring no damage. The scumbags that stole it could have gone over kerbs and damaged underbelly in their effort to evade police.

The front offside wheel / tyre looks to have struck a kerb pretty hard. The wheel rim looks damaged, might want to get both fronts checked before replacing the tyres. Also, Avon have had some issues with tyres cracking prematurely, probably not much of a concern for sales purposes though.

I noticed how you stopped with the Abarth sign in the background and knew right away. Here in the States the prices are increasing for these cars
That was actually not on purpose but I did notice while editing. Must be fate.
At minute 30:42(ish)...that is an oil catch can that will filter oil a little more for added performance
One other person has said that but it seems the general consensus is a pop off filter/dump valve

I’ve got a petrol cap with the new lock set I’ve used but I just needed it taken off. It actually wasn’t even locked.

Almost worth buying budget ones 😀 there is no damage to the wheel just a very tiny mark. It’s difficult to see with all that mud.
