I was really glad to see you handling the laptop at your last race, the more you know the better you are for the whole team, congratulations Tommy you are doing awesome.
Little tip on the cab corners, if you can keep all your body work below that sharp body line, you probably won’t be able to tell you did any thing to it. That’s a perfect line to put your tape line so you don’t have a obvious paint line, you know. Nice job on doing the thing, lol!
Nice work Tommy. FYI, the Hercules drill bits at Harbor Freight work exceptionally well for a lot less money, especially when they put them on sale. Under $20 when I bought a set.
Before you touch that truck’s wiring you should consider doing 2 things, 1: get a chiltons or haynes manual for the wiring diagrams.. 2: go to the salvage yard and get ya an extra harness or buy another one just in case you have issues because it will happen
Tommy, I just put these in my truck to replace my lights and I highly highly recommend them to anyone whose needing stock replacement style lights. The fitment and quality are the same as oem! 10/10!
I brought some cheap LED bulbs for my OBS GMC. I love those bulbs. Somehow water got in my driver's side headlight housing. It filled halfway up with water and the froze. The bulb never blew. I drilled out a couple of small drain holes in the bottom to drain the water. That was over a year ago. They still work.
Glad to see you working on the truck it sure is coming alone a little at a time and you will have it all done before you know it.. be cool to see your s10 getting some love and work done on it to get it finished and testing and on the track or to just drive around
Re installing that master cylinder. ANYTIME ya have to lie on your back, head and arms upside down working under the dash it's a tough project. You and Allison dun good,, the master looks awesome! Good job.
You definitely have to get the shorter pan. I have the same truck and built it fully out with ls. Procharger. T56 magnum Wilwood brakes. Coil overs all around and everything else. The stock truck pan is the lowest part of the truck if you use it. Won’t take long to hit it and break it. If you track the car and hit down hard it’ll break. Save the headache new lower pans are cheap and great insurance. Nice work buddy love to see it
My opinion my friend. Leave those led lights in there. It would be nice if they where amber and use them as directionals like I did on my 66 pontiac. As far as the wiring, that will come easy as you solder and solder and solder more and more. Don forget heat shrinks. For looks, you get wiring covers like the ones they sell on ebay or amazon. If you are not matching colors, then stick to black. Good luck brother. Looks good.
That Dupli-color is good stuff. I used it to touch up my pewter Tahoe and I was shocked by how well it worked. Obviously not perfect but for rockers and cab corners it did pretty well.
It's fun to watch your builds... Keep chipping away at it. Do not be afraid of all those wires! Just think of it as one wire.. then go to next.. wiring is easy, hardest part is overcoming the anxiety of a pile of spaghetti.. Learn the basics for DC voltage and you can do anything on that truck..
Nice job young Thomas!! Every little bit helps get things done!!l keep up the good work! Maybe you should help Allison on her school work since she helps you! Lol
Your rod needs adjusted for your brake pedal, but I would’ve bench bled the master cylinder before putting it on the truck it’d help you out some. Keep up the good work.
Great Content and Video 👍 Your self learning your project Thanx for sharing your experience and knowledge with your Great 👍Work Have a Great Day 👍 God Bless America 🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸 Allison is a Great 👍Helper 😊
Tommy, you need to shorten the master cylinder rod. My son bought a 66 Galaxy that had a brake pedal like that, it over heated the brakes until I figured out it was keeping constant pressure on the brakes. Shortened the rod so it has a little play and fixed the problem.
yall need a paint guy next i was just watching the other channels and seeing all the nice motors and wheels and stuff it would be great to see all of the car and trucks painted 🤩
That is a 98-02 fbody windage tray. Perfectly fine to use on your truck setup, only issue you might have is where the pickup bolts to the tray. Might need massaged/clearanced
With that pickup tube I think you would have to cut some of the stock windage tray. I don't know what you have but that's what it looks like and I have seen other videos that they had to do that.
You should use f body pan instead of truck pan, truck pan hangs lower than the k member, don't forget to bleed the master cylinder before hooking the brake lines and adjust the rod for the pedal too, good luck on the project young man.
I like those new lights for the project truck. They'll look good with the stance that truck will have. They don't look bad on the daily but it's too stock to really pull them off.
Sweet Man. Was cool to watch you guys race this past weekend at Slugfest. Seeing you on the Laptop was good to see. You got this Tommy, only better with time Man. 😎🏁🤘
How would it be possible for you to bore us... unless we are the ones doing the homework? I love to see the progress being made on the truck. The new headlights and halos look awesome on the daily... and would look awesome on the drag truck. 🙏💜
The truck is coming along awesome! The reason why that windage tray is cut back is for the holley oil pan or swap oil pan. If you use the original truck oil pan you don't have to use that windage tray, you can use the stock truck one.
This should be inspiration to any young man. Hard work will pay off! This build is built not bought. You keep grinding and show the younger generation hard work will pay off. This is a long process but I’m the end the gratification will pay off when you have a “daily “ that will put a hurting on some feelings!!!
🎉🎉 TOMMY IT'S GOOD TO SEE HOW FAR YOU HAVE COME, YOU HAVE MORE CONFIDENCE IN YOUR WORK. KEEP PUSHING &I WILL KEEP WATCHING. CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THE NEXT VIDEO. AS ALWAYS GREAT CONTENT AND GOD BLESS ALL.
Good job Tommy keep going you will get it all done and have a super nice truck and your will love it even more because you done it all yourself so don't give up .
Young Thomas your drill and drill bits would appreciate you a lot and last thousands of drilling episodes longer if you’d put the drill in low. Turn them slow as ya can. 💪🏼💪🏼😂😂
Variable speed drills were invented for a reason. On many occasions slowing the drill speed down allows the drill bit to cut more efficiently with much less heat. Some of the newer alloys have a tendency to work harden when exposed to the additional heat of high speed drilling. Just an old man thinking out loud. Opinions vary. All are probably correct.
That shorter windage tray is needed to clear oil pans like the f body style oil pan. On my ls swap car i had to go with the F body pan so i had to cut my factor truck windage tray in order to clear.
"LIGHTS JUST FINE" you will be doing other things in time, consider couple inches drop would look cool leaving all the stock tires and wheels. Just a thought.
I think they started shortening the windage tray to help with the bay to bay breathing in the block. Ls engines don't breathe well because of the block and main caps preventing air from moving and actually stealing some hp. Thats why people like the old 350 bottom end but the ls top end thus the ls next block was born all because of the bay to bay breathing problem. Hope that helps
Tommy get the little hold down for the oil pickup that goes around the base of the tube were it hooks up to the oil pump, looks like a distributor hold down and comes with a bolt so it holds the tube in the pump with 2 bolts instead of 1
I agree with you on the headlights Tommy. I've always loved chevy trucks. I own a 01 Silverado now. Keep up the work and you will have two super clean trucks. Enjoy all the SRC content man.
As for your led light being new and not working , try reversing the terminal I have run into this issue many times that the positive and negative wires are reversed .
I think the headlights look good just update the front badge to match and you’re good to go.
Definitely not boring! The truck is shaping up nice!
Tommy, just think that everyTHING you do from now on will be a new learned THING. Neat to see you excited about learning. Good job!
Stay positive. You do provide good entertainment. It's real and raw. Shows the real life to it.
Nice work Tommy. FYI, the Hercules drill bits at Harbor Freight work exceptionally well for a lot less money, especially when they put them on sale. Under $20 when I bought a set.
I notice you're missing the dash fuse box cover. I've got a blue one if you need it
Before you touch that truck’s wiring you should consider doing 2 things, 1: get a chiltons or haynes manual for the wiring diagrams.. 2: go to the salvage yard and get ya an extra harness or buy another one just in case you have issues because it will happen
In my experience Windage tray is short to clear Fbody oil pans, Longer tray is truck style but I could be wrong.
Tommy thanks for sharing you’ve got a good attitude with the whole process. 😊
Hope ya turn the step side into a drag race truck
Put on a respirator when your grinding! If it goes in you it stays there. And no rust boogers!
Your doing awesome Tommy take your time and before you know it you'll have a complete truck. God bless and as always be safe.
I just got an obs... you convinced me to stick with stock lights.. lol
Get the Camaro pan and pickup tube
I love watching you do ur own work tommy that’s how you learn the trade of mechanic work
Tommy, I just put these in my truck to replace my lights and I highly highly recommend them to anyone whose needing stock replacement style lights. The fitment and quality are the same as oem! 10/10!
The reason the pedal is going all the way to the floor is because the fluid is not in the brake system to stop when brake are applied.
Read the distrucktions. and slap in the crap. I like the four eye truck!!!👍🤙👍🤙 nice mouse trap, kitty.
Very nice work Tommy!! Great day when you get a video from OMG and GEN 2! Would be perfect if SRC drops video today!!!
❤ from pnw oregon. Bro falcon looked good at slug fest. You drove the wheels off that thing.
Good job Tommy and Allison! This is how we learn by doing! This what keeps us watching! Bring all that you can and we’ll watch it!
MOST DEFANTLY !!!!!!!!!!!!! U GUY'S MAKE AN AWESOME TEAM KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK BOTH OF YA's !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank y’all for the content and letting us live through y’all in today’s time it’s a vacation
Hey Tommy, you and your brother are the coolest. Keep kicking butt!!!
It will hang about 1 and a half inches below stock K-member
Re installing that master cylinder. ANYTIME ya have to lie on your back, head and arms upside down working under the dash it's a tough project. You and Allison dun good,, the master looks awesome! Good job.

Getting there and learning as you go. Best of all you will know how it was done when you are driving your stepside. Keep them coming.
That Dupli-color is good stuff. I used it to touch up my pewter Tahoe and I was shocked by how well it worked. Obviously not perfect but for rockers and cab corners it did pretty well.
Tommy,, those headlights look AWESUM in your truck! Put the same in BOTH trucks 😁
Wow I think the new headlights look great set your truck apart from the others what does it look like at night should be nice
I like watching your channel cause you're just learning as cool to watch you learn. How to work on your cars? And do the projects on your cars
Glad to see your still at the OBS. You learn by doing, good job Thomas.
Nice job young Thomas!! Every little bit helps get things done!!l keep up the good work! Maybe you should help Allison on her school work since she helps you! Lol
Never thought you looked like Billy until those safety glasses scene lol.
Keep on trucking Tommy. The way trough the eye of a needle is to press on. 😮
Keep up the good work Tommy. Truck is coming along nicely.
Your rod needs adjusted for your brake pedal, but I would’ve bench bled the master cylinder before putting it on the truck it’d help you out some. Keep up the good work.
Great Content and Video 👍
Your self learning your project

You know the dims are supposed to be on the outside and the brights are on the inside
100% correct👌🏼
Looking good Tommy that’s the only way to do it is to do yourself learning as you go buddy . Good luck with your project keep up the good work.😎
👍🏽🇺🇸👍🏽 you are doin great buddy.. keep up the learning
Great job tommy proud of you sure have came long way buddy in no time. Great content as always
With that pickup tube I think you would have to cut some of the stock windage tray. I don't know what you have but that's what it looks like and I have seen other videos that they had to do that.
Good job buddy im glad to see you putting your truck together and learning.great video
Keep up the hard work Tommy I think your doing an amazing job for your first project by yourself.
You should use f body pan instead of truck pan, truck pan hangs lower than the k member, don't forget to bleed the master cylinder before hooking the brake lines and adjust the rod for the pedal too, good luck on the project young man.
Tommy, you should be proud of yourself for the willingness to rebuild your truck primarily by yourself. It will be a good learning experiance.
I like the new lights in the truck. Keep’em
Get you some aluminum bright wheel cleaner for those aluminum parts that what I used on my ls and came out great
I like those new lights for the project truck.

Thanks for sharing Tommy
The shorter windage tray is for the rear sump oil pan like the Holly 302 pan I had to trim mine to fit my oil pan on my 67 c10
Thomas making progress for sure like the brake setup!
Awesome !! God bless you guys! Cheers!!
The truck is coming along awesome! The reason why that windage tray is cut back is for the holley oil pan or swap oil pan. If you use the original truck oil pan you don't have to use that windage tray, you can use the stock truck one.
Windage tray is fine. I had to cut mine about there to clear my pickup tube for the seap pan
This should be inspiration to any young man. Hard work will pay off! This build is built not bought. You keep grinding and show the younger generation hard work will pay off. This is a long process but I’m the end the gratification will pay off when you have a “daily “ that will put a hurting on some feelings!!!

Mine was solid but rusted floor pans. I wired wheeled painted mine and put deadener on it. Make it solid. So it doesn't sound hollow and all that.
keep up the good work!
Thank you for all the uploads!!!
I carumba Hernando, those lights would be right at home in tewana. Viva Mexico.
Thanks for new video been waiting for it 😁
Good job Tommy just slow that drill down a bit you will fill it grab the metal. Finesse is the key to saving your bits for another day.
Yeah, what Brandon said
That's a big negative. You just have to feed to match the speed.
@@anthonyjones657 and common sense ain’t so common anymore obviously 😂😂
Variable speed drills were invented for a reason. On many occasions slowing the drill speed down allows the drill bit to cut more efficiently with much less heat. Some of the newer alloys have a tendency to work harden when exposed to the additional heat of high speed drilling. Just an old man thinking out loud. Opinions vary. All are probably correct.
Yep, AMEN brother...
That shorter windage tray is needed to clear oil pans like the f body style oil pan. On my ls swap car i had to go with the F body pan so i had to cut my factor truck windage tray in order to clear.
Thanks for the info!
Hey Tommy we've all been there first time project! It's looking good! Keep Up the good work!
Very helpful video Thomas ty can't wait for the next one
That's pretty neat 😃. Thanks for sharing.
Great video content it's good seeing that you are trying to do stuff on your own
"LIGHTS JUST FINE" you will be doing other things in time, consider couple inches drop would look cool leaving all the stock tires and wheels. Just a thought.
Be sure to ditch the relief port in that gen 4 pan I used a oil drain plug with rtv on mine if you leave it it won't make over 55 lbs of oil pressure.
Lmc truck for a complete brake line kit..
Didt be so hard on yourself. You're doing great!! Keep it up!!
Hope that helps
about time we need more videos bro for real
Great video, but no four high mod?
I think the headlights look great Tommy!😊
Tommy get the little hold down for the oil pickup that goes around the base of the tube were it hooks up to the oil pump, looks like a distributor hold down and comes with a bolt so it holds the tube in the pump with 2 bolts instead of 1
Let’s go Tommy hope it’s a banga
Cool to see ya getting your wrenching skills!
I agree with you on the headlights Tommy. I've always loved chevy trucks. I own a 01 Silverado now. Keep up the work and you will have two super clean trucks. Enjoy all the SRC content man.
Nice progress! You're doing great man!
Still looks good
Man your truck is coming along and it looks awesome.
As for your led light being new and not working , try reversing the terminal I have run into this issue many times that the positive and negative wires are reversed .
The lights look good keep them in and buy more for the stepside
