Aurora is a reaction staple now. Lot of albums and history to go through. She is best to watch live. However I think her official videos are important as well. It shows her art style and vision. And then there are the documentaries and interviews. She is one of those artists where fans are not just about her music, but about her as a person. On another note, she does not copyright claim anything. So if that happens, it's a troll bot and she will personally take it down. (Both her and her mother like watching reaction vids apparently.)
Thank you, very good reaction 😊 Hope you keep going with Aurora, she really is something special. She is usually best live. To see how she disappears into the song when she performs it is magical. I recommend watching Through the Eyes of a Child live at Nidarosdomen (the one Fabrice linked to).
Great reaction🤗 She wrote this song when she was 11 years old, and at that age she didn’t quite understand the meaning of the song, but as she grew older she knew that home meant home to her parents💕 More Aurora please “Through the eyes of a child” live at Nidarosdomen (cathedral in Norway) 2017 👍😍😍❤️
Yeah she has a lot of dark tone in some of her songs. Despite having a great childhood, she has also had a lifetime full of grief and loss at such a young age. But always seems to show a way forward. You should definitely look up her history sometime. Not just on the wiki pages but from interviews and documentaries she has been in. Also, before you listen to any songs from the HAIK concert, as I'm sure people will suggest, you should maybe think about watching the full version and split it into parts to upload over time. It starts off as a great documentary / interview style and leads right into a full concert in the forest with people she met earlier that day. Basically because the context of it matters to the full experience.
Very interesting reaction, I enjoyed it. You should definitely dive into the Aurora rabbit hole, it is a wonderland of magical music. She is a lyrical genius and her songs have substance, they are thought provoking, and then throw in the fact that she is genuine, caring and quirky and you have the reason she is my all time favorite multi talented artist.
I guess I am little late with comment but I want only to add that I was enjoying your reaction and she has many great music to discover. Very interesting and also in my opinion versatile artist. Also I think it is nice to know that write all her songs and started to make music from 6 and English lyrics from 9 (English is her second language) and without any formal education. She wrote Runaway when was 11. And you are right it is about different phases of grief and also about need to return to your live after.
Some facts about the Runaway Music Video: It was shot (as far as we know) during January 31 to February 2, 2015. She was 18 at this time. She wrote Runaway at the age of 11-12 and finalized it at the age of 14 (for a school project, as she mentioned in an interview). The parts, where she wears the 'furry' top (it's actually sheep wool) are shot at the west coast of the Drange peninsula, less than a mile away from her parents house. The parts in the forest were shot in the same forest where she played as a kid very close to her parents house. The parts, in which she wears a thin white cardigan and with some trees in the near background and the island of Lysøya in the background, are shot actually in the backyard of her parents house in Drange.
Great MV, but as beautiful as her voice is here, she's even better live, when her emotions fully infuse her raw vocals. "Through the Eyes of a Child" live at Nidarosdomen is a great suggestion indeed. After it, I would add another one, in another genre and setting: Aurora - It Happened Quiet (Live at The Current): ua-cam.com/video/9U-N6LqzdIM/v-deo.html Lyrics are really part of her art, which she creates entirely herself (lyrics and music, and coproduces in studio), so it's interesting to pay attention to them, as you did. Anyway, great reaction to Aurora, this talented singing snow runner here.
I like the idea of divergent. It's gives some new ideas. There is a song from Aurora that is being interpreted in many different ways. Would be interesting to hear your thoughts. It's called Murder song 5-4-3-2-1, and the absolutely best performance is the one done at the Nobel peace prize concert in 2015. Please give it a go
Nice reaction, and you got the grief part right, which not a lot of people actually do ;) ... But anyway, Aurora likes to leave her songs open for personal interpretation. Fun fact : she wrote it at 11 yo. And for once, she made an explanation video for it, if you'd like to hear it : ua-cam.com/video/P_-aEdRG95I/v-deo.html I'd suggest Through the eyes of a child, live (because she really shines live) next, if you'd like to keep on reacting to her : ua-cam.com/video/ncG9zTzsisE/v-deo.html
Strong recommendation: listen to more from Aurora. She is a unique artist, her songs are very versatile (and she writes them herself) and get under your skin. Here two examples: "Queendom": ua-cam.com/video/wULeXeQkqd0/v-deo.html and "It Happened Quiet": ua-cam.com/video/9U-N6LqzdIM/v-deo.html Have fun.

This is my first time on your channel and your reaction to Aurora was really good. I'll be back.

The live version at the Nobel Peace Price concert was magical.

Great suggestion, a true masterpiece, with an unusual instrumentation that hints at the breadth of her musical spectrum, and talent...🙂👍
