You have no idea what you have just started with this reaction. Aurora has the most loyal fans and they are rabidly protective loving her more than life itself. She is a one of a kind talent.
She is just wonderful. Aurora is also enchanting live - she completely embodies her music on stage, being completely free and very expressive. And great original songs. She's also naturally funny, open and genuine.
Thank you for finding this girl. She does not have a bad song She has a Christmas song called stardust in her native language that is so pretty it almost brings tears listen with cc so you get full effect.
As a little girl in Norway she spent a lot of time in the forest with the animals day and night. She was terrified of performing at first but wanted to share her music and thoughts. You can see that in her performance of Runaway at the Noble Peace Prize concert. She’s a fairy/angel but you can see some of her quirky side in some of her interviews.
Norwegian Aurora is a prodigy. She wrote this song at age 11 or 12...and she wasn't much older when this video was released...but she's currently 27. She has a haunting and lilting voice and her singing style largely sticks to the wavy vocal cadence you hear here. It gives her a unique sound...but (just my opinion...and I'm a fan) after a few songs she does sound the same...but that's what ppl like about her.
@grandparentsreact You should...she's got a great, unusual sound! I esp like her live performance of The Murder Song...I think it's at an award ceremony for like Nobel or one of those major awards...I'd have to Google but I haven't had coffee yet... its really moving tho!
You've just struck gold. Seen her live, Not only a unique singer but a beautiful soul. She's quirky, funny and fun to get to know! An abundance of original songs (wrote this when she was 11) and many amazing covers. Try "Through The Eyes of a Child" live at Nidarosdomen or "Murder Song 54321" at the Noble Peace Prize concert (these specific venues) and work your way up.
Very nice reaction to my all time favorite MULTI talented artist, she was 19 when she made this Music video which has 567 million views on her channel. She is now 27 and has a very large discography of music for you to explore. She has released 4 albums and the most recent was released at the beginning of 2022. She writes thought provoking lyrics which sheds light on dark subject matter, she is a balm for the soul. She never had any formal lessons other than dance for 10 years, 6 to 16. The instruments she plays, the music she composes, all with no formal training. She is a producer, singer, song writer, dancer and choreographer for her shows when she includes any dancers. I would suggest you dive into her live performances, she is performance art live, you have to watch her, don't shut your eyes you will miss all the emotion she physically puts into her songs (she calls her songs her children), she is a fantastic storyteller. Nidarosdomens is a great place to start, this concert was made in a several centuries old cathedral in Norway, which is where she is from. Any song is beyond fantastic, but my personal favorite is Soft Universe. All but 3 of the songs are her original, the covers are Howard Blake Walking in the Air, David Bowie Life on Mars and Nat King Cole Nature Boy which she opens the show with. You should really do the whole concert in the beginning when she talks about Christimas and how difficult that time of year can be for some people, you will need subtitles for that. Her fan base is called Warriors and Weirdos, because she wants to remind everyone that they need to be a little bit of a warrior to survive the harshness of life. She is truly a unique, quirky, caring human being. Okay, I guess I am done, if you made it all the way through, thank you for reacting to my favorite human being who is not a part of my family or a friend.
Fun facts about the Runaway Music Video: It was shot (as far as we know) during January 31 to February 2, 2015. She was 18 at this time. She wrote Runaway at the age of 11-12 and finalized it at the age of 14 (for a school project, as she mentioned in an interview). The parts, where she wears the 'furry' top (it's actually sheep wool) are shot at the west coast of the Drange peninsula, less than a mile away from her parents house. The parts in the forest were shot in the same forest where she played as a kid very close to her parents house. The parts, in which she wears a thin white cardigan and with some trees in the near background and the island of Lysøya in the background, are shot actually in the backyard of her parents house in Drange.
Aurora was born June 15 1996 in Norway, as mentioned below she wrote this song when she was 11 years old, she started playing piano when she was 6 yrs and started singing and writing music at a very young age, she pretty much writes all her own songs with some musical help from a member Magnus for the instrumental parts, and just to throw this out there she sounds just as good live as she does on the studio recording in some songs I feel she is better live, she has an extremely unique sound and presence on stage that captivates and draws you in to get lost in the story of her songs, I have been a fan of hers since her debut song in 2012 Puppet
@@grandparentsreact you should use these versions of those songs: murder song, the Nobel peace prize concert 2015. Eyes of a child, the Nidarosen concert
Aurora is an amazing artist. I have so many suggestions. “Rasputin” (Boney M cover) “The Seed” Sub Urban- “Paramour” feat. Aurora “Running With the Wolves” “Heathens” lyric video “Murder Song” 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 “Everything Matters” lyric video “Animal” That’s just a few of my faves. She has so many.
At the risk of getting on your nerves, you probably ought to pause the songs at least once due to copyright issues I believe. Anyway, yes, her voice has amazing clarity. You can understand most of what she is singinging. Aurora featured in Frozen 2 by the way.

It's considered her "anti-suicide-song"... By the way, Aurora is 27 now,, she is from Norway. This particular song herem she wrote at the age oif 11 and is her most popular song so far. Yeah she's a great artist. But she goes beyond that for many of her fans and becomes one of their favorite people, once you get to know her a little better from interviews and documentaries about her. She's been through a lot at a young age. More than some of us deal with in a lifetime. She's lost a lot of people in her life from various events. One of which she lost a close friend in the 2011 Norway terrorist attack. Some think her song "Lucky" is about her not being there by chance. But "Little Boy in the Grass" is about the friend she lost there. Might be why her audience is a mix of teens to old war vets. Despite all that, she also shows how to move forward in life.
