- The Revival Series will mark a new chapter in Bizzarrini’s history with a re-birth of the car that crystallised the company’s legacy, the 5300 GT.
No more than 24 examples of the 5300 GT Revival Corsa will be created and hand-built by an experienced team of craftspeople.
Developed as a high-performance variant of the Bizzarrini engineered A3C, the 5300 GT was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro with refinements by Piero Drogo of Carrozzeria Sports Cars. Incorporating a tried and tested V8 engine, the 5300 GT was light, fast and reliable. Famed for its performance in the 1965 Le Mans 24 Hour Race, perhaps the most legendary 5300 GT is chassis 0222. That summer, French racing drivers Regis Fraissinet and Jean de Mortemart took the over 5-litre class win at Le Mans, finishing ninth overall. Not only did Chassis 0222 run the race at an average speed of 169km/h, Giotto Bizzarrini himself then drove the car back home to Northern Italy immediately after the race.
The 5300 GT Revival Corsa 24/65 encapsulates the spirit of a bygone age of high-performance race cars, and the thin line that Bizzarrini drove between road and track. Each car in the new series will be hand-built, with a lightweight composite body, as was the original car, over a light tubular steel frame. Inside, the two seats are protected by a race-grade roll bar and safety fuel cell; the car can be designed to meet FIA Specifications. Uprated independent rear suspension and allround disc brakes are paired with a period-specific 5300 cubic centimeter V8 with Weber 45 DCOE (Doppio Corpo Orizzontale E) carburettors developing between 400 and 480 horsepower. At just 1250 kg, the Bizzarrini 5300 GT Revival Corsa 24/65 has excellent power to weight ratio, ensuring its competitiveness in international historic racing.

Wow! Amazing video 📹 I love the sound and power of the engine! Also it's incredible that it's 5.3 liter engine with 400hp! My cadillac fleetwood brougham 94 has a v8 5.7 liter 260hp but weighs 4,400 pounds lol. Love the design of the car as it's small but has great power and handling it seems from your review! Great job filming 🎥 this one!

After watching the video, I did some research and realized the guy who built this masterpiece is alive in his late 90’s. Apparently, he worked for Ferrari and Lamborghini. That says a lot about Mr Giotto Bizzarrini.

As I have written in an upstanding comment I'm pretty sure that a GT Strada 5300 (stock road going version) is worth well over € 500.000,00 these days as a firm point.If memory helps,a concourse condition specimen was auctioned and got quickly sold around € 650.000,00 last year,in Southern France.Mr.Yamagishi correctly remarks that it was a truly good price(albeit we don't know the specific condition of that car).
Some updated market commentaries state the average price to be in the region of € 800.000,00 but I guess that's not enough for getting the keys of a top class specimen.
As for reliability,the big GM engine for sure was more reliable than any other high performance power plant back then.
There were fewest 5300 gt Strada running on our roads here in Italy,however I never heard of engine failures.Of course,some weak points were there in the finishing overall talking, since each car was handcrafted.My best loved sport car...

Well, it's a racing car ! The Gt Strada version
(italian for roadgoing version) was fitted with a more refined interior albeit this car was not
intended to be a luxury sporty grand touring as like as a Maserati Gt5300,just as an example.
It was engineered to be an extreme sport car even in its road going regular configuration.
