I don’t know how it hasn’t brought the prices down from the more we’ll know trusted brands. It must be commercial and military sales and contracts on the rise.
I have pretty much set my mind that the most important menu options are 13, 25, 26 and 27. #28 if I decide to delete a frequency to replace it or it is not active. Memorize the first 4 menu options and programming is a piece of cake. 13, 25, 26, 27. The other menu options are used if that specific change is needed for some reason.
Still trying to remember resistor codes.... My memory's not what it used to be. 😉 Thanks for sharing, seems solid and under five minutes wasn't klickbait👍
I got my first uv5r like 6-9 months ago. I messed with it and kinda put in some channels. And then I got antennas for it. And I haven't turned it back on since then because it isnt really programmed.
Good instructions but needs a little more, could not see what buttons you pressed to save your frequency . Would be appreciated if you show every button you press and where to save everything. Couldn't see because the parts of radio was out of camera view , the key pad was below camera view . Thanks Jason.
Are you sure you can program a repeater using these steps? I have a 5X3, and I know that doing just this will leave you with essentially a simplex channel on the repeater output. There are a few more complex and head scratching steps to get an offset programmed into a memory. K4AAQ
It's a science project how do you know what to have and what not to have to download anything I'm so confused pulling my hair out with left of it anyway is this all worth it?
Menu down menu ,menu down menu, menu down menu, had 28 factory ,funny to click now ... Roger rubber ducky,I heard once from noob HT ladies on construction, that just got radios, heeh heeh, well out,yes indeedee ham radio
As much as I loathe that transceiver it is truly the only thing keeping the hobby alive these days.

Thanks for this. Actually looks very simple and straight forward.

What antennas did u get for this?
Before putting something into a memory, ot is a good idea to go to Menu 28, and clear that memory before proceding.
Very helpful, thanks
Can you make a video programming the Baofeng AR-152.... FOR DUMMIES ???
I got rid of that radio

That model was my first VHF/UHF radio. Good instructional video.
Glad it helped

Nice video
Now is that MANUAL or using CHIRP or RS SYSYEMS?
Sounds like a answer for George Jetson
Watch the video and find out! LOL - no, this is manual programming from the front keypad
@@HamRadio2 I will.
100K, right on
🎉
so i have one of these. the menu's kind of suck. you CAN program this with chirp. This radio can be programmed to go beyond the 2 meter and 70cm band.
Programming a Baofeng Ham Radio in 5 Minutes. Hmm I wonder if I could find a faster and easier method? Sounds like a challenge! LOL
Kool all this time I had to simply delete the factory chan's lowl, and can now save ,an how you been 🌈🙏
Ain't nothin' but a Feng. Ain't nothin' but a Feng.
I’ve literally spent the last 6 hours trying to get mine programmed ( don’t have a computer)
Way too fast!!! How do we know what channels are our area?
BooofWhang!
LOL I laughed the first time I heard you say that
Menu down menu ,menu down menu, menu down menu, had 28 factory ,funny to click now ... Roger rubber ducky,I heard once from noob HT ladies on construction, that just got radios, heeh heeh, well out,yes indeedee ham radio
feng yeah
You might have B-Tech have a link on their site to this vid.
i cant get chirp to work
Also you are still using the crap antenna on your radio.
No. The first thing I always say on these radios is to throw the stock antenna way and get a real one
Okay, when I upgrade my HT antenna's I use either an Abbree or a Signal Stick.
You can get a ht for 99 dollars
You can not program uv s 9. This is crap thanks kg6kzp
Far too fast can’t keep up with you not helpfull
ok
Ham has got as boring as digging up the dead
