I own a 2023 Mach-E and love it. I'm soooo glad you made the distinction that lack of charging is not the fault of the car. It's a lack of charges and a lack of too many chargers not working when you show up to charge. In my area I use EVGo and so far they have been great... rarely have down stations and I setup my EVGo account so that I can plug and charge at any EVGo station anywhere and that has worked every time. But like you said I'm looking forward to providers installing more charging stations. Lastly, I have a Ford 40am charger in my garage, installed by an electrician which gives me 10kw charging... I can go from about 50% charge to 80% charge in just 2-3 hours. thanks for the info/video

Wow that’s plenty of charge speed at your house!
      Thanks for watching!

it looked like you were going 80 miles/ hr. so you know if you were driving 70-75 miles/an hour, no anxiety 😂😂

I can neither confirm nor deny ground speed at this time

You should not be "camping in the Left lane". The left lane is for passing and driving should be done in the right lane.

I agree. I noticed it too. Get out of the left lane.

Good Video but some observations. Max charge rate for the Mach-e is 150Kw so the 350Kw charge bay is useless the 150Kw bay would have worked. Also, that looks like a rental, did you go into settings and reset the Charge/drive history, makes a difference as it learns your driving habits and adjust milage accordingly. Like some other commentators said doing 80mph is not indicative of getting the max milage out of the batterie.

Roadtrips in EU are much better with EVs. Did on from Berlin to Rome in Mach E SR, surprisingly without any hiccups.

Just so you know the Mach e can only charge at 150kw max. Not sure why you picked a 350kw charger. But yes ea needs to fix there stuff and thanks for the video

Largely because I don’t trust the chargers to actually output their max. A 350 might only be giving 100 or 150 so I went for the max. Thanks so much for watching!!! Do you have a Mach E? That’s a pretty detailed fact to know! 🤓

No but in the market. I'm a car guy so I like to learn about vehicles.

Same. I’ve researched dozens of cars just for fun. I feel like this cars spec was a nice balance of features and performance/range. But I can’t help but wonder what a GT would be like.

15:30 - To be fair, all modern crossovers look the same.

Jesus thank you for sharing. They should be paying people to go through this trouble, not the other way around 😢

Thanks for the awesome video! I thought the built-in navigation system is kind of basic and simple looking. But actually this looks nicer now with the more modern software. Not as good as Apple oder Google Maps but still....

Electrify America is the reason why Ford made a deal to switch to Tesla Superchargers effective Spring 2024.
This was a fair representation of the dual-personality nature of life with an EV. It’s simultaneously the easiest and most frustrating vehicle ownership experience. Until the public charging situation is better sorted, road trips will be more adventurous than necessary. I tell people to NOT buy an EV unless they can charge at home. It’s simply not worth the hassle when the biggest benefit is charging at home.

And when Tesla locks out any other brands in crucial locations that’s not very helpful.
Thanks for watching and for your thoughtful comment Anthony!

@@brendandrives Ford and GM gain access to something like 2/3 of Tesla Superchargers in the next few months. Plus all the new infrastructure buildouts from Pilot-Flying J/EVgo, Buc-ee’s/Mercedes, BP, Circle K, etc, there are some big improvements coming to this country in 2024. It’ll seem like overnight chargers popped up everywhere.

I think your charging problem was the Ford plug and charge, next time I would disable the plug and charge if you were going to use the apps to enable the charger

Doing it while it is raining or if you are a lone female seems like a serious shortcoming.

Yeah I didn’t even consider those implications (but should have)

If you live in LA, I think you would see things differently, anyway I love not sending my money to the oil sheiks in the Middle East! Good video but you are wrong in your final analysis my friend.
