Little side thing: Pluto is god of all things found in/under the earth, becoming God of the dead due to the mixing of greco and Roman gods. But I think Pluton is a battleship controls the earth. Wano used pluton to create its earth wall, and it's why Pluton can destroy the red line

My thoughts go in a similar direction, all the ancient weapons including Pluton will be used to destroy the Redline. However, I don't think Wano used Pluton as much as that Wano is Pluton. Wano is sitting on top of a group of elefants like Zunesha and the curse on Zunesha is him still following an order Momonosuke's ancestor gave him 800 years ago. I think Pluton's true form like Poseidon is a joining of person, beast and "weapon". Momo is to Pluton what Shirahoshi is to Poseidon. Zunesha and the other elefants would be akin to the Seakings and Wano itself would be the equivalent of Noah.
I was reading a manga where Zeus is an asshole and it mentioned that Hades is the god of land and it made me think of One Piece. Pluto was used to make the red line which displaced the 200 meters of water or something like that. I don't know what Zunesha it's supposed to do or why they are connected with momo.
200m is literally the official starting depth of the so-called Twilight Zone, where indeed almost no light ever reaches. I somehow doubt this is a coincidence on Oda's part ;)

I think so too. Also, I think that because she is a clone she doesn’t think her life has value on its own. Since her creator is gone and she can’t go back to CP0 as double agent, I think she feels she has no purpose. I hope she can survive and find a purpose for herself apart from being Vegapunk’s double agent. I feel she could fit with the revolutionary army for example.
One cover story to see as a hint of the one continent is the story of that Skypiea priest that fell down to an island (forgot his name, the one with purple clothes and spiky hair) and made like hot springs, in it, there is a mole to help them doing it, and that mole dug until Alabasta, so those two island, at the very least, share the same land underneath. So that's a cool detail I think
Dunno if it's been said or done before but my new theory from this chapter- Joy Boy's real name was Davy Jones, the One Piece is related to his locker, but more importantly the Davy Back Fight is somehow related to the Void Century War (and Foxy becomes relevant) Also, the "Will of D" is the will of Davy Jones
My theory is that the ideological war that happened between Ancient kingdom and the Allied kingdoms was over terraforming. The Ancient kingdom advanced the technology to the extent where they had and wanted the freedom to change the one piece world the way they saw fit/beneficial. This was probably not in a nefarious way, but instead they terraformed areas to help different races and kingdoms. One of the methods might have been island/continental air cons. This could explain the erratic weather phenomena of the grand line island. They also used their DF's "recklessly" by assigning magnetic poles (using Kid's DF) to each island/kingdom so that trade was more simpler and merchants just used log poses to travel from one nation to another. They probably also created the red line and gifted the land to lunarians (their likely allies). They also created the calm belts using Corazon's calm-calm DF. All of this got other kingdoms to worry and there was an idealogical war between a freedom loving, terraforming scientists vs the conservative, nature loving allied kingdoms.

Not necesarily, Vegapunk isn't making any moral statements or giving his own opinions, he's giving entirely the solid facts about what happened with as little speculation as possible, we don't know if he agrees with the idea that Justice is whatever those in power say it is
But that is an universal truth, not an opinion, the ones at power, on the seat of power , those that have won are who determines what laws are and how justice is applied. I saw in a matter of years a neighboring prosperous country became a sithshow due to a coup, i saw my own country became a rampant narco haven due to one of our president doing as they pleased with the constitution, the military became corrup due to him changing the command chain, the police was striped of all its power to enforce propperly the law and became a mockery of itself, fearing jail if they dare to deffend a law abiding citizen, and crime began to fill the communities, extorsion, mrrrdr, kid nappin, there have been 2 presidents after that and healing the chaos has been really hard work. Doffy at that momen was just stating the facts, and Vegapunks is showing us how that truth holds today
Not justice should be served punish those who deserve it like Doffy who did awful stuff. Even if Whitebeard wins the war laws would be the same thing at some they will follow the same government rules and regulations "Don't do stuff that goes against the laws" That's what it would be. Also, pirates are indeed bad guys they are plague who rob and kill. It's just we see some normal pirates doing good things

what if the "All Blue" is just a deep trench? that "dissapeared" or became unreachable after the 200 meters rise? if somehow by the end of the story the World its restored to its original state ... that will make that trench accessible again ... also that will give Luffy a "new world" to explore on the old continents, and maybe chopper could find something there on the ancient ruins/technology something that helps him to find the cure to every decease

A moment in earth history where there was a fast shift in temp that caused a rapid melting of water in a short time. It’s CRAZY that Enel had an attack that was similar in strength to an ancient weapon. Yeah he did it with the help of the Arc Maxim, but it’s still the strongest individual attack we’ve seen in the series that isn’t from an ancient weapon. It vaporized an entire island!
I also think the creation of the red line is what made the sea leavels to rise so dramatic. Also imu is called the creator of the world, so he shape it like is now. The thing is destroying the red line is only going to rise the sea levels even more. It needs to dissappear somehow.
I'm curious to see what else this misconception of good and evil will bring with it. What if the construct of redline & grandline serves a purpose, not just the physical division of the world. - Calmbelt could serve to keep the massive currents of the Grandline away from the 4 oceans. If Oda ever showed us a cross section, I wouldn't be surprised if the Grandline water level was significantly higher than that of the oceans. - Reverse Mountain is probably called that because it is supposed to reverse the ongoing flooding. The four oceans drain their excess water to the Grandline. & the clambelt prevents backflow. - the massive continuous inflow ensures the massive currents of the grandline, and their throwback on the calmbelt ensures the crazy current directions. - Fishmen Island acts as a bottleneck, the currents here must be massive. A tidal power plant here would make a lot of sense. Maybe the roots of the Eve tree use these currents somehow. The whole thing could be a huge pumping system to keep the four oceans level. inevitably the sea play on the grandline would steadily increase. Perhaps this construction serves another purpose. Something could be sunk that requires this mass of water, for example as cooling. If this is really about cold fusion as an energy source, the original fusion chamber was probably too small. (basically: Spider-Man 2, we sink the reactor in the river) i mean we have no idea what these weapons are, other than shirahoshi controlling the seakings, to maybe create the calm belt. we also dont know which side used them. The whole story feels a lot like "Sorcerer's Apprentice" at the moment.

I know this is kind of old news at this point but I've been thinking about the conversation we used to have around Shanks during Reverie and the certain pirate he wanted to talk about. Many speculated it was Luffy or blackbeard. But what if he wanted to talk to them about Joyboy. Having heard about him from Roger. And did shanks instigate the final war by bringing him up. Because it was after their conversation that lulusia was picked to be destroyed. Did imu realize history wasn't wiped clean enough and it was time to erase it even further
I'm not caught up (still in Wano) but have they already explained why the Gorosei waited so long to go after Luffy BECAUSE he ate the Gomu Gomu no Mi instead of the other things he did? They went so hard for Ace and Robin but it seems they didn't put much effort in capturing Luffy for the potential awakening of Nika.
I looked at the first picture we have of adult Zounisha (end of chapter 802). He looks 10 to 15 times taller than the ship Ruffy and his crew is on, and that ship is already art least 90 to 100 meters tall. That would make the part above the water around 1-1.5 km tall. If the part below the water is the same length he could easily walk on the seafloor. Also, if water level rose around 200 meter there will be large parts of the former continents that are less than 200 meter or less than 100 or 50 meter deep in the water. About the fishmen: In chapter 621 queen Otohime says that the only humans the fishmen meet are either pirates who kidnap them or world nobles who buy them as slaves. So even if it is commmon knowledge that there are many ruins under the sea, they wouldn't have many chances to tell regular humans about this.
@17:09 of course thematically it makes sense that Zuneisha is stepping on the very heritage it belonged to similar to fishmen forced to step on Otohime's picture to disrespect it. That is quite possible. This just occurred to me....!! But in addition to that, What if Zuneisha was cursed to continuously walk on the ocean, so that it's foot steps will trample the remnants of ancient kingdom or ruins underwater in the sea to further destroy the evidence of the presence of ancient kingdom?? (Similar to Rumbling) If that's the case it makes so much sense if imu is the one who some how cureed Zuneisha to do it!!

It is sort of implied that the Ancient Weapons weren't originally meant to be weapons so there are theories as to their original purpose. Pluton could be a big mole (similar pronunciation as "earth dragon") that lets people travel under the earth (see the hot spring cover story. It could be smth similar) Poseidon can control the sea kings and in turn can have them transport people across the ocean. Pluton might be a sort of teleporter that teleports people somewhere else (MOONNNN!!!)
I was also thinking; why do the fishmen not know this history? But Google says: "Sunlight entering the water may travel about 1,000 meters into the ocean under the right conditions, but there is rarely any significant light beyond 200 meters." Makes sense to me.
It's funny, this chapter made me think of the game The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. A big yet small part of the lore of that game was that the islands you visit are the tops of mountains from the land that got hidden beneath the sea a long time ago. I'm sure it's not on purpose on Oda's part, unless there's a Japanese myth both were inspired by, but it was fun to think about wither way!
I think the Sunny is built off the Pluton's blueprints. I'm reading water 7 right now and it's pretty convenient that Franky built the Sunny literally right after destroying the Pluton blueprints. What was the line? Something like "No two ships are ever the same even if they came from the same Blueprints".Not to mention Franky is a warship builder specifically and the sunny is the ship of dreams. The dreams of a war-shipwright who casually had the blueprints on his person when he was taken. And had possession of them for years. And had just gone on a shopping trip for supplies to build his ship of dreams before he knew any of this was going down. Why did he have the blueprints on his person directly after coming back from that trip specifically. Furthermore I think the Pluton was Joyboy's ship and, given the fact that Nika imagery started in Skypeia, the Sunny's sun motif has been the biggest glaring hint at the Gommu Gommu No Mi's actual Identity for two thirds of the series not just a cute easter egg.

I never thought we would see DeMalo Black - I mean DeSorrow Slack - again. I do think while some of the “…” reactions could just be people contemplating and taking it in, I also think they could be the reactions of people who know more. For instance, we know that Sabo knows about Imu. This chapter also makes me think that Stussy might join the Straw Hats. She's now questioning her purpose since Vegapunk is dead. It reminds me a lot of how Robin questioned her purpose when she thought she had run out of Poneglyphs after Arabasta. But maybe I'm biased because I've been in the "Stussy should join the Straw Hats" camp for a while. The SHs having a clone of a Rocks Pirate seems like a fantastic boon for the crew and power escalation-wise makes sense when you consider the previous member to join was an ex-warlord.
Really good video! I had a feeling the earth was "one piece" in the 1000 years before. Would be interesting to know of the mastermind on who created the ancient weapons. They most likely made for good intentions but once it gets into the wrong hands lead to where Vegapunk theorized what went down in the void century. Being Christian, this really feels like the story of Noah and how the world was flooded for 40 days and 40 nights. I guess that ark at Fishman Island has a big link to what happened in the void century and kinda odd as how a fairly large boat easily sunk to the bottom of the sea? 🤔
OK, Big theory time from me random person in the internet. I get this feeling that the reason why 20 kingdoms allied against the Joyboy and the Ancient Kingdom was because of Imu betray Joyboy himself. I believe that in the past Joyboy and Imu were good friend with each other, but something happened akin to Luffy vs Usopp, and after that Imu out of pure spite (and perhaps even greed, I mean look at what York has done to against Stella and others) rallied the 20 kingdoms against his/her former friend and their allies, in the process damaging the world into it's current status. But because the remnants of the past are still out where in the world the war has not ended in Imu's mind.
The fact that the ideologies behind the Void Century war are not good or bad by definition (we can assume Vegapunk is reasoning in a rational way, as a scientist would do) is the most interesting part for me. And the fact that the war is still ongoing has me hyped up for a moral clash of ideologies.
My guess on Uranus/ weapon on the sky means Nami style weather control. Meaning biblical style rain flooding or divine lightning. The red line is basically the four dam walls around their continent. Like Merphy mentioned, if they come down it will let the water drain and people will finally truly be "free". What I'm most excited with from this chapter however was the mention that their are more continents in this universe likely with their own magic systems and lore :)

We get a brief cameos of Demaro Black (Fake Luffy) in his crew as he pretended to be Kid in a jail cell at G-4 Naval Base. The Minks, Foxy Pirates, Shimotsuki Koushirou (Zoro's teacher), Nojiko and Genzo, Dalton, Dr. Kureha and Miss Goldenweek. Joyboy time as he was going against the World Government, who started off as 29 separate Kingdoms. Joyboy was born into a fantastical civilization. The Void Century ended with Joy Boy defeat. Vegapunk explains that there was a cataclysmic ecological disaster that occurred during the Void Century and that the ancient world was swallowed by the ocean. As they are now living atop the Remnants. As the world of Millennia ago sleeps, unseen at the bottom of the ocean. Vegapunk explains within a mere century the average sea level rose by a staggering 200 meters. As the news cause fear within the Marines while others laugh because they don't believe it. Vegapunk explains the reasons for the sea level is happening because of ancient weapons. That he explains that the great war that ravaged the Void Century still continues. As we get a glimpse of Imu. There's definitely something to be said by Oda about climate change. On Earth, the industrial revolution and the corporations that followed increased the melting of the polar icecaps due to the rise of industry (being very brief here so word choice isn't exact). With the ice caps melting, the sea levels rise, but there isn't much people just trying to make sure they have enough money to live off of can do to prevent it compared to the corporations' carbon footprint. Meanwhile, in the world of One Piece, the sea level rise is a direct result of actions made by the highest member of the World Nobles. Money is power in our world, while the one who controls the world government has the power in One Piece. Actions made by a powerful elite in both worlds result in increase in water levels for each, with very little ability to prevent it by those without power.
Small thing I liked that I don't think was mentioned was Kaku reacting to Stussy's thinking of not having anything to live for anymore. I think after seeing the people he works for Kaku might be defecting and come along with Stussy to find meaning beyond the causes they dedicated their lives to.
I've been getting into Dunes a bit lately and I've noticed some similarities in this final saga. Joyboy is like Paul. A great emperor with many names and similar abilities while Imu is like Leto II dividing the world which will cause people to want to travel and be free. I doubt the comparison would be one to one but if you get into ityou may see a lot of connections between the two works (St. Peter is also a sandworm.. could be an homage to Dunes for being one of the series inspiration)
Regarding Zunesha: I think he's been confirmed to be over 35km tall in a Vivre Card Databook. Which is pretty ridiculous, even if about half of that is above water, his legs would still be more than long enough to reach the deepest point on Earth, the Challenger Deep in the Mariana Trench. So his leg length is probably a bit exaggerated in the opposite direction in fact.

At the time Merphy is talking about Zunesha, it make me thinking of the random one shot manga I used to read that is based on Christian about an old man named Jude(?) and is punished to walk the earth from betraying god until he got pardon for his crime. Maybe Oda got his inspiration on that.

Recently I was reading a manga where they mention Hades being the earth god, in the usual myth he is just jealous of Zeus and that is why he wanted to take over, but if Oda follows that thought, maybe Pluto's power raises the earth to make the red line, which I'm guessing, it created massive tsunamis and ocean current issues ending with raised sea levels by displacement(maybe?).

Because I still can’t believe Oda killed the people from Lulusia in cold blood. It’s so unlike what we’ve seen in One Piece. It's not an implication, it's what happened. In chapter 318, Luffy takes their flag, forcing them to disband as a crew.

My thoughts go in a similar direction, all the ancient weapons including Pluton will be used to destroy the Redline. However, I don't think Wano used Pluton as much as that Wano is Pluton. Wano is sitting on top of a group of elefants like Zunesha and the curse on Zunesha is him still following an order Momonosuke's ancestor gave him 800 years ago. I think Pluton's true form like Poseidon is a joining of person, beast and "weapon". Momo is to Pluton what Shirahoshi is to Poseidon. Zunesha and the other elefants would be akin to the Seakings and Wano itself would be the equivalent of Noah.

I was reading a manga where Zeus is an asshole and it mentioned that Hades is the god of land and it made me think of One Piece. Pluto was used to make the red line which displaced the 200 meters of water or something like that. I don't know what Zunesha it's supposed to do or why they are connected with momo.
200m is literally the official starting depth of the so-called Twilight Zone, where indeed almost no light ever reaches. I somehow doubt this is a coincidence on Oda's part ;)

One cover story to see as a hint of the one continent is the story of that Skypiea priest that fell down to an island (forgot his name, the one with purple clothes and spiky hair) and made like hot springs, in it, there is a mole to help them doing it, and that mole dug until Alabasta, so those two island, at the very least, share the same land underneath. So that's a cool detail I think
Dunno if it's been said or done before but my new theory from this chapter- Joy Boy's real name was Davy Jones, the One Piece is related to his locker, but more importantly the Davy Back Fight is somehow related to the Void Century War (and Foxy becomes relevant)

My theory is that the ideological war that happened between Ancient kingdom and the Allied kingdoms was over terraforming. The Ancient kingdom advanced the technology to the extent where they had and wanted the freedom to change the one piece world the way they saw fit/beneficial. This was probably not in a nefarious way, but instead they terraformed areas to help different races and kingdoms. One of the methods might have been island/continental air cons. This could explain the erratic weather phenomena of the grand line island. They also used their DF's "recklessly" by assigning magnetic poles (using Kid's DF) to each island/kingdom so that trade was more simpler and merchants just used log poses to travel from one nation to another. They probably also created the red line and gifted the land to lunarians (their likely allies). They also created the calm belts using Corazon's calm-calm DF.
All of this got other kingdoms to worry and there was an idealogical war between a freedom loving, terraforming scientists vs the conservative, nature loving allied kingdoms.

What if the construct of redline & grandline serves a purpose, not just the physical division of the world.
- Calmbelt could serve to keep the massive currents of the Grandline away from the 4 oceans. If Oda ever showed us a cross section, I wouldn't be surprised if the Grandline water level was significantly higher than that of the oceans.
- Reverse Mountain is probably called that because it is supposed to reverse the ongoing flooding. The four oceans drain their excess water to the Grandline. & the clambelt prevents backflow.
- the massive continuous inflow ensures the massive currents of the grandline, and their throwback on the calmbelt ensures the crazy current directions.
- Fishmen Island acts as a bottleneck, the currents here must be massive. A tidal power plant here would make a lot of sense.
Maybe the roots of the Eve tree use these currents somehow.
The whole thing could be a huge pumping system to keep the four oceans level. inevitably the sea play on the grandline would steadily increase.
Perhaps this construction serves another purpose. Something could be sunk that requires this mass of water, for example as cooling.
If this is really about cold fusion as an energy source, the original fusion chamber was probably too small. (basically: Spider-Man 2, we sink the reactor in the river)

I know this is kind of old news at this point but I've been thinking about the conversation we used to have around Shanks during Reverie and the certain pirate he wanted to talk about. Many speculated it was Luffy or blackbeard. But what if he wanted to talk to them about Joyboy. Having heard about him from Roger. And did shanks instigate the final war by bringing him up. Because it was after their conversation that lulusia was picked to be destroyed. Did imu realize history wasn't wiped clean enough and it was time to erase it even further
I'm not caught up (still in Wano) but have they already explained why the Gorosei waited so long to go after Luffy BECAUSE he ate the Gomu Gomu no Mi instead of the other things he did? They went so hard for Ace and Robin but it seems they didn't put much effort in capturing Luffy for the potential awakening of Nika.

I looked at the first picture we have of adult Zounisha (end of chapter 802). He looks 10 to 15 times taller than the ship Ruffy and his crew is on, and that ship is already art least 90 to 100 meters tall. That would make the part above the water around 1-1.5 km tall. If the part below the water is the same length he could easily walk on the seafloor. Also, if water level rose around 200 meter there will be large parts of the former continents that are less than 200 meter or less than 100 or 50 meter deep in the water.
About the fishmen: In chapter 621 queen Otohime says that the only humans the fishmen meet are either pirates who kidnap them or world nobles who buy them as slaves. So even if it is commmon knowledge that there are many ruins under the sea, they wouldn't have many chances to tell regular humans about this.

It is sort of implied that the Ancient Weapons weren't originally meant to be weapons so there are theories as to their original purpose.
Pluton could be a big mole (similar pronunciation as "earth dragon") that lets people travel under the earth (see the hot spring cover story. It could be smth similar)
Poseidon can control the sea kings and in turn can have them transport people across the ocean.
Pluton might be a sort of teleporter that teleports people somewhere else (MOONNNN!!!)
I was also thinking; why do the fishmen not know this history? But Google says: "Sunlight entering the water may travel about 1,000 meters into the ocean under the right conditions, but there is rarely any significant light beyond 200 meters." Makes sense to me.

It's funny, this chapter made me think of the game The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. A big yet small part of the lore of that game was that the islands you visit are the tops of mountains from the land that got hidden beneath the sea a long time ago. I'm sure it's not on purpose on Oda's part, unless there's a Japanese myth both were inspired by, but it was fun to think about wither way!
I think the Sunny is built off the Pluton's blueprints. I'm reading water 7 right now and it's pretty convenient that Franky built the Sunny literally right after destroying the Pluton blueprints. What was the line? Something like "No two ships are ever the same even if they came from the same Blueprints".Not to mention Franky is a warship builder specifically and the sunny is the ship of dreams. The dreams of a war-shipwright who casually had the blueprints on his person when he was taken. And had possession of them for years. And had just gone on a shopping trip for supplies to build his ship of dreams before he knew any of this was going down. Why did he have the blueprints on his person directly after coming back from that trip specifically.
Furthermore I think the Pluton was Joyboy's ship and, given the fact that Nika imagery started in Skypeia, the Sunny's sun motif has been the biggest glaring hint at the Gommu Gommu No Mi's actual Identity for two thirds of the series not just a cute easter egg.

I never thought we would see DeMalo Black - I mean DeSorrow Slack - again. I do think while some of the “…” reactions could just be people contemplating and taking it in, I also think they could be the reactions of people who know more. For instance, we know that Sabo knows about Imu. This chapter also makes me think that Stussy might join the Straw Hats. She's now questioning her purpose since Vegapunk is dead. It reminds me a lot of how Robin questioned her purpose when she thought she had run out of Poneglyphs after Arabasta. But maybe I'm biased because I've been in the "Stussy should join the Straw Hats" camp for a while. The SHs having a clone of a Rocks Pirate seems like a fantastic boon for the crew and power escalation-wise makes sense when you consider the previous member to join was an ex-warlord.

Really good video! I had a feeling the earth was "one piece" in the 1000 years before. Would be interesting to know of the mastermind on who created the ancient weapons. They most likely made for good intentions but once it gets into the wrong hands lead to where Vegapunk theorized what went down in the void century. Being Christian, this really feels like the story of Noah and how the world was flooded for 40 days and 40 nights. I guess that ark at Fishman Island has a big link to what happened in the void century and kinda odd as how a fairly large boat easily sunk to the bottom of the sea? 🤔

OK, Big theory time from me random person in the internet. I get this feeling that the reason why 20 kingdoms allied against the Joyboy and the Ancient Kingdom was because of Imu betray Joyboy himself.
I believe that in the past Joyboy and Imu were good friend with each other, but something happened akin to Luffy vs Usopp, and after that Imu out of pure spite (and perhaps even greed, I mean look at what York has done to against Stella and others) rallied the 20 kingdoms against his/her former friend and their allies, in the process damaging the world into it's current status. But because the remnants of the past are still out where in the world the war has not ended in Imu's mind.
The fact that the ideologies behind the Void Century war are not good or bad by definition (we can assume Vegapunk is reasoning in a rational way, as a scientist would do) is the most interesting part for me. And the fact that the war is still ongoing has me hyped up for a moral clash of ideologies.

My guess on Uranus/ weapon on the sky means Nami style weather control. Meaning biblical style rain flooding or divine lightning. The red line is basically the four dam walls around their continent. Like Merphy mentioned, if they come down it will let the water drain and people will finally truly be "free". What I'm most excited with from this chapter however was the mention that their are more continents in this universe likely with their own magic systems and lore :)

We get a brief cameos of Demaro Black (Fake Luffy) in his crew as he pretended to be Kid in a jail cell at G-4 Naval Base. The Minks, Foxy Pirates, Shimotsuki Koushirou (Zoro's teacher), Nojiko and Genzo, Dalton, Dr. Kureha and Miss Goldenweek.
Joyboy time as he was going against the World Government, who started off as 29 separate Kingdoms. Joyboy was born into a fantastical civilization. The Void Century ended with Joy Boy defeat. Vegapunk explains that there was a cataclysmic ecological disaster that occurred during the Void Century and that the ancient world was swallowed by the ocean. As they are now living atop the Remnants. As the world of Millennia ago sleeps, unseen at the bottom of the ocean.
Vegapunk explains within a mere century the average sea level rose by a staggering 200 meters. As the news cause fear within the Marines while others laugh because they don't believe it. Vegapunk explains the reasons for the sea level is happening because of ancient weapons. That he explains that the great war that ravaged the Void Century still continues. As we get a glimpse of Imu. There's definitely something to be said by Oda about climate change. On Earth, the industrial revolution and the corporations that followed increased the melting of the polar icecaps due to the rise of industry (being very brief here so word choice isn't exact). With the ice caps melting, the sea levels rise, but there isn't much people just trying to make sure they have enough money to live off of can do to prevent it compared to the corporations' carbon footprint.
Meanwhile, in the world of One Piece, the sea level rise is a direct result of actions made by the highest member of the World Nobles. Money is power in our world, while the one who controls the world government has the power in One Piece. Actions made by a powerful elite in both worlds result in increase in water levels for each, with very little ability to prevent it by those without power.
Small thing I liked that I don't think was mentioned was Kaku reacting to Stussy's thinking of not having anything to live for anymore. I think after seeing the people he works for Kaku might be defecting and come along with Stussy to find meaning beyond the causes they dedicated their lives to.
I've been getting into Dunes a bit lately and I've noticed some similarities in this final saga. Joyboy is like Paul. A great emperor with many names and similar abilities while Imu is like Leto II dividing the world which will cause people to want to travel and be free. I doubt the comparison would be one to one but if you get into ityou may see a lot of connections between the two works (St. Peter is also a sandworm.. could be an homage to Dunes for being one of the series inspiration)
Regarding Zunesha: I think he's been confirmed to be over 35km tall in a Vivre Card Databook. Which is pretty ridiculous, even if about half of that is above water, his legs would still be more than long enough to reach the deepest point on Earth, the Challenger Deep in the Mariana Trench. So his leg length is probably a bit exaggerated in the opposite direction in fact.

Recently I was reading a manga where they mention Hades being the earth god, in the usual myth he is just jealous of Zeus and that is why he wanted to take over, but if Oda follows that thought, maybe Pluto's power raises the earth to make the red line, which I'm guessing, it created massive tsunamis and ocean current issues ending with raised sea levels by displacement(maybe?).

I wonder if instead of destroying, Imu’s weapon (possibly Uranus) is instead a teleporter or portal beam or something like this. Because I still can’t believe Oda killed the people from Lulusia in cold blood. It’s so unlike what we’ve seen in One Piece.
