Well this missed the mark big time. Replacing a classic show with a bunch of sarcastic snooty scripts is not the way to go. It's a no from me.
I am so sick of Hollywood taking beloved animated characters and changing their race to be "inclusive". The original characters were white, period! This show needs to die quickly.
Why am I NOT surprised???? Way to ruin a classic. Add characters if you need to make it fun for everyone, but leave the originals alone.

I'm going to guess after Velma season one is finished that the writers won't make a second season because they'll realise this spin off is awful and a wasted of their time which is why they're going to cancelled the series.

First they changed Ariel, now they changed Shaggy. Hollywood is definitely getting lazy with coming up with new characters and considering how to work that into a better story without pissing people off. I appreciate that they want to try to make a different interpretation of stuff but when you've gone so long seeing one character a certain way to suddenly change it, well yeah there's going to be racism and anger. What next? They going to straight up change the dog breed that Scooby was?
This looks like a great reboot of 'Murder, She Wrote'. Looking forward to seeing the chronicles of Jessica Fletcher's young relative.

If they make a second season then they should listen to the comments and make it into something the audience will appreciate better. Because I actually liked the series and think it should continue.
Where is scooby doo? You can’t be serious. there’s no way they just deleted the best character, then made a way less interesting character the main character.

It might be 'a good show' but that isn't the point. Scooby Doo isn't some random show from 10 years ago, it has been there for half a decade, more time than most of the human beings existing in this world right now. Why would they not respect the real characters and then change it into something they're not? Changing sexuality, race and everything about them?
What's next will they turn Powerpuff Girls to Powerpuff Siblings because Buttercup turned out to be trans?
Do you think the original board of creators who made the show will actually be proud of how these people who "owns" that team's show has changed it into something else and still adapts the same names? Why didn't they just start a new show with 4 students and not call them Velma, Fred, Daphne and whatever Shaggy's second name is in this show? They just wanted to capitalise on the fanbase this legendary characters had and then make a show that is completely not them and still capitalise on it. That's the issue.
