Awesome info, I've been having problems for years with my hydroponic veggies, going to give this a try and report back, thank you again for the video and info...
Sure thing. I’ve added a few new items to my arsenal that work well on thrips with a different mode of action, Botanigard and Nofly, a mycoininsectcide
I spray my 1,000 tomatoes with a Sthl mister, I gave up on the long hose sprayer years ago. The mist blower gets so much better coverage and lots faster, and uses a lot less spray with virtually no leaf runoff or unsightly residue on the bottom of the fruit.
Yeah the mister/fogger backpack sprayers are pretty nice, I used a solo 450 two cycle backpack sprayer for years but I got tired of mixing the small 3 gallon tank so many times and when it stopped working well I finally upgraded to the 25 gallon high-pressure sprayer which also gives me a very fine mist for our 2,500 plants. Thanks for watching and commenting! Hope you have a great growing season!
@@jasonwish- Luckily we don't have thrips here in southeastern Ind. but have a big problem with hornworms . Aphids are also few and far between and mites rarely get out of control. My biggest problem is gray leaf mold which loves our high humidity. I haven't found anything that is effective against it in the hoop house or out in the field. This year I'm growing a few Rebelski and Margold that are gray leaf mold resistant. I just hope they they aren't flavor resistant as well. I've been growing Big Beef in high tunnels for 28 years and I'm afraid my costumers will be disappointed in something different. What variety's do you grow?
Man, that’s a good question and I’m not sure I can give you the right answer, I would think there would be something on the label that would tell you if not might be something you want to google because I don’t want to tell you wrong and have you kill your bees. Best of luck to you. If you are interested in seeing any more of our farming videos, please check out our farm channel here: youtube.com/@wishwellfarms?si=eK16Fq95jbziAZ0u
Interesting as always! Creepy bugs! Man we haven't tried to do a garden in like... 5 years! It was just a small raised bed that we did cucumbers, peppers, carrots and snap peas. Only Rugged Mountain Mister and I like tomatoes. if we did them we'd probably just do cherry tomatoes. Super cool how all the products are biological in nature! Almost like Someone created everything we'd need to succeed! ;-)
This would be a great year to grow some of your own food again with how crazy prices are everywhere! Indeed, there are plenty of natural ways to control insects and diseases that the good Lord gave us instead of relying fully on synthetic, man made remedies! Thanks for the comment Mark!
don't know if anyone can help, but last wk I saw nearly 3 inch slug worm on my cabbages. all 4 plants have been eaten on their leaves so is there any suggestion at this point and I was so mad at seeing the worm like slug, I doused food grade D.E. on it but no leaves are showing recovery...
Insect pests are a constant battle in just about every vegetable we’ve ever grown. We try to control them organically but sometimes we still have to use synthetic pesticides.
In the last 6 years Ive got a pretty good handle on horn worms and caterpillars By hanging large bug zappers and cutting the guards open bigger because hornworm moths are big and zap the moths all night every night. Its spider mies that wipe me out every year! Even killed two of my cherry trees last year no mater what I did. Then they kill my tomatoes about June every year here in Texas
I've seen those white dots on my plants but couldnt see what caused it. Now I guess I know. Thank you. I thought maybe it was some sort of weird fungus.
Yes, I mix them often but when I do I make sure to do it on a cloudy day...I've have caused some leaf burn in the past on a hot sunny day. Don't really ever spray fungicides in the greenhouse. I normally mix two of them and alternate each time.
@@jasonwish- I am growing in grow bags for the first time. High tunnel with over 20 days in the 90s. My videos are on a Season of Tomatoes. About 500 plants in two tunnels. It’s been a struggle this year. Mite fight all year

All the products I listed in the video are registered by the organic materials institute for use in organic production so unless you’re growing and eating only your own food, I guarantee you are eating food sprayed with some of these items. Organically grown does not mean it is not sprayed. Now the conserve that you mentioned by Dow has an active ingredient of spinosyn, The exact same product called entrust is the one that’s labeled for organic use but there’s absolutely no difference between the two.
I truly love your English

Great info Jason! Definitely can use this info on our home garden. Was about to ask about bees but you had that even covered. Thanks for sharing bud.
Thanks AJ, glad you found it useful!

Definitely got some good information there my good man
Thanks CG!
Love this content. It reassured me I’m using the right products. I love conserve! What do you use for downy mildew?
Sorry I missed this comment! I’ve never had downy in my greenhouse but in the field cucumbers we use Ranman
@@jasonwish- thanks man

Very interesting! I know you said it was organic, but do you still need to be careful about breathing in that mist?
Yes, I am very careful not to breathe in the fumes...I will vent the side walls a little or wear a full faced repirator/filter. Thanks!
this is available in philipines?
I have no idea, sorry

Interesting method on the bug zappers! Yeah, spider mites can be terrible to control once there is an outbreak.

Yeah it’s hard to believe how many little critters and different diseases attack Tomatoes, hard to stay on top of all of them!
Do you combine any of these products with each other or even with a fungicide to be able to kill two birds with one stone?
Yes, I mix them often but when I do I make sure to do it on a cloudy day...I've have caused some leaf burn in the past on a hot sunny day. Don't really ever spray fungicides in the greenhouse. I normally mix two of them and alternate each time.

Thank you! And no I have never experimented with it.
If you didnt fight tuta absoluta on tomatoes you didnt fought anything yet.
Yeah never had to deal with that thank goodness
