If technology was better you could just buy a field emitter, basically it's a device of my own that if I made I'd have around 500k in a few weeks maybe, anyway just place the device in your house and tune it to the bug frequency and it puts an invisible barrier around ya house that only bugs can hear, when they enter your zone the field basically fries their brains n they die instantly, maybe I'll call it the windshield 🤣🤣🤣 but yea, it takes as much power as a lamp and can possibly repel larger creatures without death, like messin with a beehive but not as dangerous

I used to always have a spray bottle with soapy water around to kill them, now I spray everything with Talstar Pro. Highly recommended it if you are in a state that you can buy without a pesticide license, if not I would definitely try the sprays in the video.
I used cedarwood oil to make a spray for fleas on my dog. Works great. I will have to try this. They, the leaf-footed bugs poke holes in my tomatoes and then they taste nasty. I will try the cedarwood oil with soapy water for the tomatoes. Thanks for the advice.
Welllll I cant thank this mam enough and his Friend Paul! I grew up in Chicago as a child never heard of stink bugs until I moved to the burbs as an adult. My students told me about them. And boy am I glad. I kill everything for my twin daughters who hate bugs(me too but im the only parent on deck) . This bug has tormented the ladies since Friday; its Tuesday. I had to sleep in their room on the floor; one was calling my name all night awake and sleep. Got those Gatorade bottles yesterday. Found that sucker and bottle him just like you said. He was upside down so I thought it would work! No miss technique. Best UA-cam tip ever!

I use a similar way to the bottle trick. Get a mason jar with a lid add 1/4 cup of water and a few squirts of soap, Shake well then go push them in. With the soapy bubbles, it traps them and they can't fly out when you open it for the next bug.
I love this. We are over run with stink bugs, especially after this last mild year. Not going to tolerate another winter of a million stink bugs in the house. Yuck.

I accidentally discovered the best trap ever after suffering two years....I left a potato on top microwave....after a week I was so grossed out seeing one on the potato eating! Then I noticed several more as it was a large potato....Harris is the best killer and repellant but I sprayed the potato and barracaded myself in my bedroom calling my hubby...when he came home he bagged the potato in doing so it collapsed and inside is where they were hiding and dying! Haven't seen one since! But each august I'm getting my home ready including spraying Harris all around it and it repels them from all windows n doors......along with closing all gaps and spraying all hear vents it's safe indoors and out and is the BEST!
Here are some elaborations for the Gatorade bottle trick. 1. Put a small amount of soapy water in the bottle to drown the bugs and mitigate the stink. (Do this in your shop vacs as well, if you’re vacuuming the stinkers.) 2. For bugs that are beyond your reach - and they do like heights - extend the bottle using vacuum cleaner wands or similar and they will jump down, usually all the way down, but you may need to tap the wand to coax the critter all the way into the bath you have prepared.
I need old tractor repellent. I cleaned out the weeds around my barn and found myself neck deep in non running tractors. Don't know when breeding season is or I'd mix some alcohol and essential hydraulic oil and spray it all around.
I need to try this. I just used some packing tape yesterday to pick one up, and closed right in, but I was thinking duct tape might have worked better. I’m going to try your method.

It scared the crap out of me, I went in the other room and had a full blown panic attack. Thank you for this video.

To get the smell off of your hands, wash with cold water. Warm water opens your pores cold water closes them. Doesn't matter what soap you use, the important part is cold water. Also helps to keep poison ivy from spreading
Thanks for the great tips . Stink bugs are not much of a problem in my area . Lucky me . I do like the fact that the non toxic stuff kills all kinds of other bugs . Just wondering how do you heat your mobile home in the winter . Thanks .
Everything is toxic if you guzzle enough. If you drink enough water you'll die. Isopropyl alcohol is exceedingly toxic. DDT is far far less toxic to humans than isopropyl alcohol. I don't know where anyone gets this idea that something is "non-toxic" or maybe it's more like if you can't pronounce the chemical name for it and it sound scary it must be bad right? LOL
Food grade diatomaceous earth works better, faster and will not kill your pets (in fact it's so safe that puppies and kittens can even eat it to take care of parasites among other things)... whereas cedar essential oil sure could. It's incredibly cheap and very easy to spray or spread. Takes care of all creepy crawling things.
Hello from Morganton. Love the videos keep them coming. Thought it was funny when at the end of the video you said that you have to deal with the stink from the chemicals “it’s just a fact of life.” I guess you have to fight stink with stink.
I keep a container of Dawn in water and some napkins, catch it in a napkin drop in dawn water. They also leave pheromones for other sticks to locate and join in the hunt for a place to hibernate. My fingers don't stink, I don't squish em.
These invasive critters are horrible. My first encounter with one has me terrified of them. I went to capture it and it sprayed my whole arm before hitting the jar I'd put vinegar in. Anywhere it sprayed started to heat up, almost like muscle rub does. I couldn't get the smell off of me for days. Needless to say when I come across one I'm in a panic to grab a jar and capture it. Thank you for sharing. From Travelers Rest, SC
Interesting. I live in Europe and where I am we don't have any stink bugs that size or making that much of a problem. We do have some incredibly small species of bug that can stink to high heavens. To make it more interesting they tend to live in blueberry bushes so when you pick the berries you often can get a few that hitches a ride. All in all they are not that much of a problem, but you certainly know when you agitate one. Luckily being so small they don't have the capacity to cause more than a temporary stink.
I kill stink bugs in the garden using Dawn dish soap and water in a spray bottle like you used for the cedar oil. You must spray the soapy water directly on the bugs to kill them.
Easiest way I have found is a 2 step solution:
Step 1- burn the entire area to the ground
Step 2- move far far away
If technology was better you could just buy a field emitter, basically it's a device of my own that if I made I'd have around 500k in a few weeks maybe, anyway just place the device in your house and tune it to the bug frequency and it puts an invisible barrier around ya house that only bugs can hear, when they enter your zone the field basically fries their brains n they die instantly, maybe I'll call it the windshield 🤣🤣🤣 but yea, it takes as much power as a lamp and can possibly repel larger creatures without death, like messin with a beehive but not as dangerous

I don't know where anyone gets this idea that something is "non-toxic" or maybe it's more like if you can't pronounce the chemical name for it and it sound scary it must be bad right? LOL
thumbs up shared great video well done
Trying these when I get home from the fall fence forum.
We have them up north in Wisconsin. Thanks for the tip.
Thank you so much is absolutely helpful tips
Heck yes, we hate Stink bugs here. These are great tips! Ordering some Eco spray now, thank you.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! We are inundated with the nasty pests right now.
Hello from Morganton. Love the videos keep them coming. Thought it was funny when at the end of the video you said that you have to deal with the stink from the chemicals “it’s just a fact of life.” I guess you have to fight stink with stink.
this guy is awesome - great video
I keep a container of Dawn in water and some napkins, catch it in a napkin drop in dawn water. They also leave pheromones for other sticks to locate and join in the hunt for a place to hibernate. My fingers don't stink, I don't squish em.
or just do what I showed ya and drop them in a bottle
These invasive critters are horrible. My first encounter with one has me terrified of them. I went to capture it and it sprayed my whole arm before hitting the jar I'd put vinegar in. Anywhere it sprayed started to heat up, almost like muscle rub does. I couldn't get the smell off of me for days. Needless to say when I come across one I'm in a panic to grab a jar and capture it.
Thank you for sharing.

You're welcome Josh!
They are a Big problem in France,,sept -October,, everywhere.. now waging War on them !
Thank you so much. I hate stink bugs! They are so irritating.
Awesome video!!!
Great video!
Looks like the kids are catching chicken food tomorrow! 😂
Great info Josh
I kill stink bugs in the garden using Dawn dish soap and water in a spray bottle like you used for the cedar oil. You must spray the soapy water directly on the bugs to kill them.
Put a little bit of water and mr clean in the bottle. Kills the bug and also avoids the stink
