Fremd XC: Viking Strong

Fremd Cross Country: Viking Strong follows the 2024 Fremd Vikings and their aspirations of finishing on the podium at the IHSA 3A State XC Championship. The previous season, the Vikings placed twelfth at the State Meet in their first state berth in fourteen years. The senior-heavy top seven looks to have a shot at accomplishing something Fremd hasn't been able to do since the 70s, despite the numerous injuries and illnesses they have faced throughout all of 2024. Returning All-State senior Rory Gaan is ready and looking for revenge after a disappointing track season, suffering from an injury to his hip causing him to miss out on qualifying for the state meet. Star sophomore Jack Jennings is right on Gaan's tail, establishing himself as a name to be reckoned with after his impressive 14:49 seventh-place finish at the 2024 First to the Finish Invitational. The rest of the seven place in a different order nearly every race, knowing they can all step up for the team if their teammate doesn't have the day they had hoped for.
