Dude I have been depressed for a long time, but after my encounter with shrooms few months ago, l feel much happier and highly motivated and my ADHD gone , lost a ton of anxiousness and had a few epiphanies about how I should live my life. I decided to buy an ounce for backup, but haven’t yet felt the need to take any more since then.
Mushrooms did wonders in my life. I got diagnosed with ADHD since my teenage, spent my whole life fighting ADHD. Also suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.

I'm 56 and have suffered for years with addiction, anxiety and severe ptsd, I got my panic attacks under control myself years ago and they have come back with a vengeance, I'm constantly trying to take full breaths but can't get the full satisfying breath out, it's absolutely crippling me, i live in Germany. I don't know much about these mushrooms. Really need a reliable source!! Can't wait to get them.

Dude! People like you give me so much hope. I am about 2 years clean now and I feel like mushrooms are turning my life around. I was feeling so lost and nothing has been working for my severe depression up until a couple years ago. but not since I started with the mushrooms for just some few days back then. Kudos to you for being clean that long! So happy to see people like me doing well in the future regardless of what society makes it seem sometimes. For me shrooms are remedy not a vice.
Psilocybin mushrooms have definitely had a positive impact on my mental health. They've been really helpful for me in dealing with anxiety and depression.
Mark wouldn't let Doug plug anything at the end of the video but the gigolo guy talked about his book and all the crap he has planned (to scam people out of their money) and the gigolo guy even put the link to his only fans in the comments section. Kinda seems unfair not to give Doug an equal platform. And I have to say, Doug was a much more authentic human being than the other guy.

@@kattihatt This isn't an exact quote, but I heard that it costs the American tax payers something like $160,000 per year for each homeless person to stay out on the street. Between arrests and hospitalizations and rehabs and whatever else it costs that much. Give or take. So, while this guy seems harmless and, he's in general, I can't say that it's fine by me that he has chosen to be homeless and not care about his future because his future is definitely going to be an expensive one that we will all be paying for.

About 10 years ago there was a loophole in UK law that, for 18 months, meant you could buy magic mushrooms on the high street and it was legal. Best 18 months of my life. Took a lot of shrooms, never had a bad trip, never lost a job, felt total love for the world, listened to a lot of Pink Floyd and watched a lot of music videos. Never taken them since because the law changed, but wow, what a cosmic experience it was
This interview is a good example of why I can only take this channel in small doses. Mark seems very judgmental whilst knowing absolutely nothing about psilocybin. Mark seemed determined to get this guy to say that shrooms were fucking up his life.
Mark is a shit interviewer. He platforms a lot of people who would otherwise be voiceless, but the leading questions and obvious biases are ridiculous. It’s really not that hard to interview someone without inserting your own perspective, but somehow Mark can’t put aside his ego long enough to do so. Super frustrating to watch.
Yes. The prospect is interesting. But the interviewer is being judgmental. Just saw the interview with some prostitute, and asking “are you depressed?” Etc. the interviews put up a very uneasy vibe from the questions being asked.
i get where ur coming from but you cannot say that shrooms havent had a negative effect on his life. shrooms are great and yeh as far as drugs go can be one of if not the least harmful drug out there but this man dropped out of school and is now homeless doing drugs on the street every week. ofc its not crack or meth or heroin but he still gets money and spends it on drugs and lives in a homeless shelter. you try and tell anyone thats a good life to live ur fucking delusional and stupid
@@imaxthelimit7489 I agree, I've done mushrooms maybe 10/15 times or more and I actually wouldn't recommend them, the highs are not worth the potential lows, you can have some hellish trips trust me, I'm lucky I wasn't left permanently messed up from some of these horrible trips, kid in my city jumped in front of a truck on them n died, and they can give you suicidal thoughts while on them I've heard numerous friends say that, it's a serious trip, not to be taken lightly
I’ll be 1 year sober on March 15th from heroin and xanax, the biggest factor in me getting sober was Psilocybin. Absolutely life changing experience the first time I took it. I felt immense gratitude and appreciation for still being alive (I’ve overdosed 8 times) and life has been so much better since.

you haven’t been paying attention to how many have been negatively affected by sharing their socials. he’s protecting this guy from preventing him from sharing his socials. his interview subjects get scammed more often than you know and he’s just trying to stop it.
I’ve also noticed he’s done/said a couple things in the past that seem like he cares more about getting the footage and puts that person on the back burner. I get it’s his job but his job, I would think, is to also always show respect and compassion for those less fortunate.
I started laughing too when he talked about his friend coming back out with no shirt. I know its something dumb to laugh at but things like that are so funny when on mushrooms 😂

Listening to an over 30+ man talk about how he loved his job at a movie theater, after listing off the number of jobs they had, it seems like a real lack of any sense of direction or discipline. I applaud their decision to try and pursue happiness, but this is such an aimless adult, with clearly a very bright mind, in a terrible situation. I’m very curious what people close to him over the years have witnessed, because it seems like a slow decline. I realize my initial comment was flippant. I realize there’s much more going on.

I can honestly say that psilocybin mushrooms changed my life for the better. From being on the streets selling weed to having a corporate job at a healthcare company making great money. Its directly related to the experiences I had on psilocybin. Not a day goes by that I dont think about it. Psychedelics are NOT like other drugs.
He explained perfectly what if feels like to trip on shrooms. Brought back some fond memories. Havent used them since before I had my first child. And probably wont ever again, but I still have the memories.

Shrooms are the most therapeutic drug that I have ever taken. It leaves you feeling better for days after and gives you great insights to change your life for the better. Couple negatives: If you are taking large amounts, you need to be in a safe environment. People have been known to do stupid things like walk through glass doors. Also when microdosing, I get a “I don’t give a f*ck attitude”. And you should not email your boss when you feel like that. LOL. Been there done that. 😂😂😂

I must say...all of the comments are spot on and echo the same sentiments I had after watching this kind soul. Mushrooms and other various tryptamines (DMT, etc.) hold in them the keys to our existence. Use them respectfully with best intentions and an open heart - the potential for self-discovery and deep insights is endless. All of us deserve basic human needs (See: Maslow's Hierarchy). Doug seems genuine and earnest in his endeavors. Blessings to him and his universal family (this means you too!). Mark came off a teeny bit judgemental in this one, but that could be a subjective thing for me. Love, Light and Prosperity...Be well, Stay well.
I've watched a lot of Marks videos, most of the time he is fair and genuinely asks good questions. This interview came across as Mark is trying to get this man to say something through a series of leading questions where Mark already has a predetermined answer that he want the interviewee to say. This is where I draw the line and unsubscribe. Unsubscribe, unfollow and could care less. Sooner or later others will see it too. Pretty sickening really, we as an audience think we're getting a pure interview, yet this is the furthest from the truth. The more Mark can sensationalize these interviews, the more views he'll get, and the more money he makes. He doesn't care about these people, he uses them for his photos and interviews and parades these folks around for the masses to see. Here's and idea, if any of the people in this audience care about the homeless, the abused, the addicts, the alcoholics, how about go out and meet someone like that and have a conversation with them, get to know them, help them if you can, but to come here a gawk at these people is sickening. This is coming from someone who was a serious opiate addict/alcoholic/couch surfer for a decade, and have been 100% clean for 7years, so my perspective may be different than most of the audience.

I'm new to this channel and have been binging it a bit. Last night I watched the Whittakers interview (the inbred family) and I didn't get a good feeling from it. I understand he is trying to give all types of people a voice, but his tone and certain questions in some videos I do not like.
I think you should watch one of the interviews that Mark has done and see his side of this stuff. He helps plenty of the ones who care to take his offered assistance. All while doing the shooting, editing, and sharing for free since most of his videos are demontitized due to the subject matter. He's doing a good thing by documentating these people's stories and why they end up here.
Mark is not a psychologist, he is a world renowned photographer. This is a very organic channel. He doesn’t really do a scripted type thing it just flows as the interviewee’s takes it. All these people that he meets and speaks with leave lighter after talking about ‘THEIR PAIN, THEIR STORY’ to someone who truly listens with interest. He may not as questions the way some may prefer but he gets the results. He also helps these people get into treatment or an apartment or a hot meal etc……more then judgement ever helps.
Thank you! I feel the ones titled with some sort of psychedelic substance, the interviewer tries to weave together a narrative so that it fits with the rest of the hard drugs found on skid row. Mushrooms are not addictive, that guy didn’t seem very experienced with them tbh.
He has an infectious smile and personality that makes me smile. Love his stories and how he describes things. So glad I never did anything like trying to jump over blazing fire. Although my dealer friend did talk me into taking a hit of blue microdot at a Grateful Dead concert in San Francisco. Then as I was blazing, she says to me she's going to go deal some of it so I was just sitting staring at the stage watching all the colors and hearing the music come to life around me. Psilocybin mushrooms are the best highs I've ever had. The best was taking them and then floating down a gentle river and looking up at the trees dancing in the wind. Very spiritual experience that makes me want to be an indigenous person who has rituals involving an entire tribe with people taking them.

I suffer from Cluster Headaches. Apparently they are more severe than Migrages. Another name for them is Suicide Headaches and I definitely understand the term. For 40 year the doctors fed me prescription after prescription trying to find something that worked. Nothing did. The only thing they did was dull the pain and it really shouldn't have been driving. One day I heard a show about LSD and Magic Mushrooms and they mentioned Cluster Headaches. I Googled it and it was all there. I got some mushrooms, followed the instructions and the next morning the headache was gone. I now take mushrooms typically every 6 months. Sometimes even 12 or 18 months. You can feel the headache trying to push their way back in and this is when you medicate. Magic Mushrooms was a game changer for me. I hope this helps someone.
@Chris Woods For me it would always be a severe pain beside either the left eye or right eye. They call them "cluster" because when they started I would continue getting them for months. Two or three times in a 24hour period. It would be best to google it "cluster headache magic mushrooms". The explanation given will explain lots.

I can totally see him as a comedian and podcaster. Everyone says he didn’t grow up but a lot of comedians don’t:). He def needs to get it together, but he can use his humorous approach in a creative way.

I believe a lot of the merit is discredited because hallucinogens are considered drugs. Psychedelic experiences strip you of your self identity & allow you to question your own habits from an outside perspective. Many users are friendly open minded people who struggle with their own issues. I believe it’s important to not overgeneralize but also important to understand that some substances may be fun, but not addictive. Most people would agree that shrooms are fun, but not anything you would want to take often. Usually hallucinogens show you that you have some part of yourself to work on & dosing frequently will not help you achieve those goals. I don’t think we should be blaming drugs for most of these problems. Yes, the drugs cause serious problems. However, we cannot help people heal from addiction without providing them with a sense of community & understanding.
i never understood why people feel the need to take those sbstances because nothing your think and feel belongs to the real world. 99% of people dont need any kind of substances to feel connected to themselves or view their own personality from an outer perspective...
I really like this guy. He has this self-deprecating sense of humor that most truly funny people have. I hope he finds his path and has a successful life.
He almost burnt his entire legs while on meth laced weed and not much more was asked about that and he doesn't seem to think it was an issue. Very concerning. Skin grafts are intense as hell and those kind of skin burns can stay painful for a very long time.
I've always loved this channel, but I'm really curious why didn't you let Doug plug anything that could possibly help him better his situation when you've allowed several other people? That just threw me way off.
I agree. I feel it's a bit shitty to even include the portion where you deny the man in the final cut of the video. I appreciate Mark and his work more than ever, I just wish there was consistency in the ability to plug something or not. mushrooms are the best. Imagine having like 100 thoughts and they all make sense in a matter of 5 minutes but you forget about each answer as soon as youre focused on the next question in your mind and the intel you gain from it is immersed into your spirit and being, its like downloading information from the ground into your brain, but you dont save the info. Visually everything is beautiful but sometimes things can get weird and scary, depends on you and your life.

The magic mushroom saved my life from deep depression and physical pain. It reset all my views on life people and society. Deeply connects you with nature. Purges a lot of negativity out of you. That’s where the magic is.
I just love how people can watch a 20 minute video and feel that they are in the position to make these declarative statements about someone they don't know the first thing about, and likely not taking into consideration that that person will almost surely read them. Have you stopped to think about the fact that he is only telling us what he wants us to know? There are so many things going on with every single person, so much they would never say out loud. Obviously the comments section is meant for people to express their opinions, but it's amazing to me how many of these people don't realize how ridiculous they sound judging another person's entire existence based on what they see in a short video. Would we be able to sum up everything about you, give the best advice, tell you what is wrong with YOU after hearing you talk for 20 minutes? No, so feel free to give your personal impressions but spare us all the self righteousness! Which will never happen. But if you do read this Doug, remember how easy it is for people to pass uninformed judgements and do whatever feels good to YOU in life. I just started using shrooms within last two weeks. Struggled with depression my entire life. Lots of abuse in my childhood, toxic family relationships, abandonment issues, PTSD, anxiety, ect. I have had 4 trips so far. One was bad, my 2nd one was rough. My last two I took the shrooms, put headphones on and covered my eyes and decided to focus inward. The very last trip was the singular most profound experience of my entire life. I had a breakthrough and finally accepted myself and felt an immense amount of love for myself/life. I no longer feel tons of anxiety. I'm coming out of depression for first time in my life. I'm more appreciative of what I have in my life and feel love from and for the people in my life. I think pscilocybin is a wonderful tool for self actualization and can help a ton of people when used respectfully. The good thing about shrooms is even a bad trip teaches you something about yourself. Key is to not fight what it's trying to tell you and just go along for the ride.

Taking a large dose magic mushrooms was one of the best things I've ever done in my life. That first heavy trip COMPLETELY severed my relationship with money and conventional measures of success. For my entire childhood and early adult life, I thought having a lot of money meant I'd be happy. Mushrooms took that expectation and rubbed my nose in it. They showed me that the pursuit of material things is what makes us *unhappy* in modern society, that success is fake, that I have everything I need to be happy within me. I'd recommend mushrooms to anyone who isn't afraid of their thoughts, and who wants to understand themselves in a way that is nearly impossible to achieve in normal consciousness
Mark, I encourage you to check your biases in these interviews. I understand that you're working with homeless people and you really feel driven to help them, but you don't always have to latch onto your preconceived notions of why they are in the position that they are in. There are a lot of people doing quite well for themselves in their own ways who use mushrooms or other psychadelics to navigate trauma, mental health issues, or even just for fun. I can't speak to your education level on these topics, but from your leading questions and the biases perceived within them, this interview felt particularly unfair, and I've seen glimpses of this come through in other videos. It seems at times that you can't resist inserting yourself into some of these stories and trying to steer these people in a direction that *you* deem to be more appropriate. Comparing your interviews with the mob bosses -- talking to them like they're rockstars and sounding at times as though you're borderline starstruck by their stories -- to ones like this where you come off as significantly more judgmental and as though you're trying to tell people you've only just met where their life went wrong just doesn't sit quite right with me. You've done a lot of good for a lot of people -- probably significantly more than we're even aware of -- but nonetheless I would encourage you to continue educating yourself and checking your biases. I think that there is a line that divides pressuring questions that encourage interviewees to open up and questions/prompts that come off as preachy or judgmental.

The way he tells stories and explains things, he definitely is a comic. No doubt. His potential is way beyond what he thinks. And I thought that up until 11:05 and he confirmed what I thought all along.
not every drug experience creates bad outcome. I can look back at my mushroom experiences as net positives. it changed my life in a good way. that guy got it right regardless of his situation.
When he was describing the ceiling on mushrooms I totally knew what he was talking about. Everything we know about this reality is fake! Also when I looked in the mirror I feel like I fell in love with myself. I actually thought I was beautiful ✨💕
Shrooms can be amazingly beneficial and I have myself and a close loved one as evidence. However, I also have a friend who had an extremely bad trip his first time and never tried them again, although I would argue that bad experience single handedly caused him to turn his life around. The key here is to not underestimate the power of psychedelics and to think of them as tools, not just recreation. They are profound and must NOT be taken lightly.
Its irresponsible to associate psilocybin in this way, its helping people in so many ways from addictions, suicidal depression, PTSD, etc.. When he jumped through the fire he was on weed and meth.

This guy reminds me of my ol college roommate. Talked in circles and giggles a lot. Hard to understand but a good caring man. My roommate was my friend. He did a bit too much one day and never really came back. Haven’t seen or heard from him in 21 yrs. I think of him often.
First time to be disgusted by Mark. He judged this guy endlessly, and was rude, abrupt and passive aggressive throughout. So confused. I understood his empathy and compassion to be from a place of acceptance. Bizarre interview. Maybe Doug didn’t appear desperate and ravaged enough. Or perhaps there’s a back story. His tone was utterly vile. Such a shame.
Hey Doug, I'd recommend you see a kinesiologist for your issues with lyme disease. A friend of mine had chronic Lyme disease and after several years of battling it with no results, she saw a kinesiologist that instantly could start to remedy her symptoms and she is now, about 6 months later, totally free of all symptoms.

He already pays people to show up on the interviews, having someone plug their instagram and twitter as a seperate plug isn't right and is also a potential liability issue. These videos aren't supposed to be a marketing opportunity, once that's starts people who know about him will want to come on for entirely wrong reasons.
He found a good path, humor and laughter....thats what you need the most these days. Wish you would stop with the leading questions though. Not everything is a tragedy.
So glad I seen this one, I have travled some of the scenes and have had some very insightful psychadelic experiences. But it became ever apparent that there is a producers and consumers mindset. Ran into alot of wooks, people looking to take advantage, and people that had the right idea of love, but no real direction or as mentioned, discipline...So unfortunately an association and stigma still exists with free spirited lifestyle. Guys down to earth.
That was such an interesting, insightful interview Mark.. I’d love to try Psilocybin to help lift my depression because I’ve literally tried everything else..I haven’t heard of one bad result when used in a minimally correct fashion..
Look carefully in to micro dosing. It's changing lives. Just don't go over what you need (0.1-0.2g 2 days on, 2 days off works well) or it just becomes drug use. Good luck mate, hope it works well for you!!
I tried the smaller doses at first just to calm my anxiety about tripping. Then, I went with an average dose for many which is around 2.5-3.5g depending on your size. I’ve tripped a dozen times over the last 5 years and it has totally turned my life around. I learned to love myself which in-turn allowed me to truly love others. That’s what I was missing all along. No more hate. No more judgement. Just the ability to empathize totally. This released me from the chains I didn’t know I was wearing. I can see why they were outlawed. It’s very dangerous to how we currently live in the structure we have been provided since birth. It really breaks to free and allowed you to think for the first time. Sorry.. rambling now.
I tried a cup of mushroom tea in Ko Samui, Thailand with 2 good friends many years ago. I think we had what Bill Hicks described as a 'Heroic Dose' as we had the most unforgettable and mind bending 8 hours! I still have detailed memories of that night, 25 years later. It was beautiful, healing, hypnotic and cleansing. I believe that mushrooms are grossly under rated and have healing powers that conventional meds cannot offer. Strange that they are not given out on prescription since there have been so many extremely positive results during clinical trials for various problems including anxiety and depression. But, that is another story!
Here in ireland i pick shrooms from september to november, as many as i can. For me they are great for resetting the mind and for seeing a different perspective on life, issues etc . I drink alcohol socially as well, that's it. Here in ireland druids ate mushrooms and created amazing artwork and stories
Shrooms are great and no Mark. .. there aren't really any negatives when used occasionally. Except of course you have underlying schizophrenia that might trigger it. But they're really good at keeping you focused on priorities and positive mindset. I am however worried that being in skidrow you won't find psychedelics and will instead go to whatever is there. He obviously hasn't done shrooms in a long time cause he wouldn't even be okay with living in skidrow if he was still doing shrooms. He probably does meth now.

Whatever else he is doing, I really don't think it is helpful, or honest to label him a "psilocybin" user. Psilocybin has been used by humans for over ten thousand years, and is extraordinarily safe for occasional use by mentally sound individuals.
Dude I have been depressed for a long time, but after my encounter with shrooms few months ago, l feel much happier and highly motivated and my ADHD gone , lost a ton of anxiousness and had a few epiphanies about how I should live my life. I decided to buy an ounce for backup, but haven’t yet felt the need to take any more since then.

Between arrests and hospitalizations and rehabs and whatever else it costs that much. Give or take. So, while this guy seems harmless and, he's in general, I can't say that it's fine by me that he has chosen to be homeless and not care about his future because his future is definitely going to be an expensive one that we will all be paying for.

About 10 years ago there was a loophole in UK law that, for 18 months, meant you could buy magic mushrooms on the high street and it was legal. Best 18 months of my life. This interview is a good example of why I can only take this channel in small doses. Mark seems very judgmental whilst knowing absolutely nothing about psilocybin. Mark seemed determined to get this guy to say that shrooms were fucking up his life.
Mark is a shit interviewer. He platforms a lot of people who would otherwise be voiceless, but the leading questions and obvious biases are ridiculous. It’s really not that hard to interview someone without inserting your own perspective, but somehow Mark can’t put aside his ego long enough to do so. Super frustrating to watch.

I’ll be 1 year sober on March 15th from heroin and xanax, the biggest factor in me getting sober was Psilocybin. Absolutely life changing experience the first time I took it. I felt immense gratitude and appreciation for still being alive (I’ve overdosed 8 times) and life has been so much better since.

Listening to an over 30+ man talk about how he loved his job at a movie theater, after listing off the number of jobs they had, it seems like a real lack of any sense of direction or discipline. I applaud their decision to try and pursue happiness, but this is such an aimless adult, with clearly a very bright mind, in a terrible situation.

I can honestly say that psilocybin mushrooms changed my life for the better. From being on the streets selling weed to having a corporate job at a healthcare company making great money. Its directly related to the experiences I had on psilocybin. Not a day goes by that I dont think about it. Psychedelics are NOT like other drugs.

Shrooms are the most therapeutic drug that I have ever taken. It leaves you feeling better for days after and gives you great insights to change your life for the better. Couple negatives: If you are taking large amounts, you need to be in a safe environment. People have been known to do stupid things like walk through glass doors. Also when microdosing, I get a “I don’t give a f*ck attitude”. And you should not email your boss when you feel like that. LOL. Been there done that. 😂😂😂

I must say...all of the comments are spot on and echo the same sentiments I had after watching this kind soul. Mushrooms and other various tryptamines (DMT, etc.) hold in them the keys to our existence. Use them respectfully with best intentions and an open heart - the potential for self-discovery and deep insights is endless. All of us deserve basic human needs (See: Maslow's Hierarchy). I've watched a lot of Marks videos, most of the time he is fair and genuinely asks good questions. This interview came across as Mark is trying to get this man to say something through a series of leading questions where Mark already has a predetermined answer that he want the interviewee to say.
This is where I draw the line and unsubscribe. Unsubscribe, unfollow and could care less. Sooner or later others will see it too. Pretty sickening really, we as an audience think we're getting a pure interview, yet this is the furthest from the truth. The more Mark can sensationalize these interviews, the more views he'll get, and the more money he makes. He doesn't care about these people, he uses them for his photos and interviews and parades these folks around for the masses to see. Here's and idea, if any of the people in this audience care about the homeless, the abused, the addicts, the alcoholics, how about go out and meet someone like that and have a conversation with them, get to know them, help them if you can, but to come here a gawk at these people is sickening.
This is coming from someone who was a serious opiate addict/alcoholic/couch surfer for a decade, and have been 100% clean for 7years, so my perspective may be different than most of the audience.

I'm new to this channel and have been binging it a bit. Last night I watched the Whittakers interview (the inbred family) and I didn't get a good feeling from it. I understand he is trying to give all types of people a voice, but his tone and certain questions in some videos I do not like.

I think you should watch one of the interviews that Mark has done and see his side of this stuff. He helps plenty of the ones who care to take his offered assistance. All while doing the shooting, editing, and sharing for free since most of his videos are demontitized due to the subject matter. He's doing a good thing by documentating these people's stories and why they end up here.
Mark is not a psychologist, he is a world renowned photographer. This is a very organic channel. He doesn’t really do a scripted type thing it just flows as the interviewee’s takes it. All these people that he meets and speaks with leave lighter after talking about ‘THEIR PAIN, THEIR STORY’ to someone who truly listens with interest. He may not as questions the way some may prefer but he gets the results. He also helps these people get into treatment or an apartment or a hot meal etc……more then judgement ever helps.

He has an infectious smile and personality that makes me smile. Love his stories and how he describes things. So glad I never did anything like trying to jump over blazing fire. Although my dealer friend did talk me into taking a hit of blue microdot at a Grateful Dead concert in San Francisco. Then as I was blazing, she says to me she's going to go deal some of it so I was just sitting staring at the stage watching all the colors and hearing the music come to life around me. Psilocybin mushrooms are the best highs I've ever had. The best was taking them and then floating down a gentle river and looking up at the trees dancing in the wind. Very spiritual experience that makes me want to be an indigenous person who has rituals involving an entire tribe with people taking them.

I suffer from Cluster Headaches. Apparently they are more severe than Migrages. Another name for them is Suicide Headaches and I definitely understand the term. For 40 year the doctors fed me prescription after prescription trying to find something that worked. Nothing did. The only thing they did was dull the pain and it really shouldn't have been driving. One day I heard a show about LSD and Magic Mushrooms and they mentioned Cluster Headaches. I Googled it and it was all there. I got some mushrooms, followed the instructions and the next morning the headache was gone. I now take mushrooms typically every 6 months. Sometimes even 12 or 18 months. You can feel the headache trying to push their way back in and this is when you medicate.
Magic Mushrooms was a game changer for me. I hope this helps someone.

@Chris Woods For me it would always be a severe pain beside either the left eye or right eye. They call them "cluster" because when they started I would continue getting them for months. Two or three times in a 24hour period.
It would be best to google it "cluster headache magic mushrooms". The explanation given will explain lots.

This is what psychedelics users preach all the time. I believe a lot of the merit is discredited because hallucinogens are considered drugs. Psychedelic experiences strip you of your self identity & allow you to question your own habits from an outside perspective. Many users are friendly open minded people who struggle with their own issues. I believe it’s important to not overgeneralize but also important to understand that some substances may be fun, but not addictive. Most people would agree that shrooms are fun, but not anything you would want to take often. Usually hallucinogens show you that you have some part of yourself to work on & dosing frequently will not help you achieve those goals. I don’t think we should be blaming drugs for most of these problems. Yes, the drugs cause serious problems. However, we cannot help people heal from addiction without providing them with a sense of community & understanding.
i never understood why people feel the need to take those sbstances because nothing your think and feel belongs to the real world. 99% of people dont need any kind of substances to feel connected to themselves or view their own personality from an outer perspective...

He almost burnt his entire legs while on meth laced weed and not much more was asked about that and he doesn't seem to think it was an issue. Very concerning. Skin grafts are intense as hell and those kind of skin burns can stay painful for a very long time.

mushrooms are the best. Imagine having like 100 thoughts and they all make sense in a matter of 5 minutes but you forget about each answer as soon as youre focused on the next question in your mind and the intel you gain from it is immersed into your spirit and being, its like downloading information from the ground into your brain, but you dont save the info. Visually everything is beautiful but sometimes things can get weird and scary, depends on you and your life.

I dont do drugs, don't drink, don't do anything...I used to a long time ago, but not anymore...the last drug I had was mushrooms, lsd, and mdma..all were taken at separate times, however..I have mixed them a few times. This was 3 or 4 years ago 👍

I just love how people can watch a 20 minute video and feel that they are in the position to make these declarative statements about someone they don't know the first thing about, and likely not taking into consideration that that person will almost surely read them. Have you stopped to think about the fact that he is only telling us what he wants us to know? There are so many things going on with every single person, so much they would never say out loud. Obviously the comments section is meant for people to express their opinions, but it's amazing to me how many of these people don't realize how ridiculous they sound judging another person's entire existence based on what they see in a short video. Would we be able to sum up everything about you, give the best advice, tell you what is wrong with YOU after hearing you talk for 20 minutes? No, so feel free to give your personal impressions but spare us all the self righteousness! Which will never happen. But if you do read this Doug, remember how easy it is for people to pass uninformed judgements and do whatever feels good to YOU in life. I just started using shrooms within last two weeks. Struggled with depression my entire life. Lots of abuse in my childhood, toxic family relationships, abandonment issues, PTSD, anxiety, ect. I have had 4 trips so far. One was bad, my 2nd one was rough. My last two I took the shrooms, put headphones on and covered my eyes and decided to focus inward. The very last trip was the singular most profound experience of my entire life. I had a breakthrough and finally accepted myself and felt an immense amount of love for myself/life. I no longer feel tons of anxiety. I'm coming out of depression for first time in my life. I'm more appreciative of what I have in my life and feel love from and for the people in my life. I think pscilocybin is a wonderful tool for self actualization and can help a ton of people when used respectfully. The good thing about shrooms is even a bad trip teaches you something about yourself. Key is to not fight what it's trying to tell you and just go along for the ride.

Taking a large dose magic mushrooms was one of the best things I've ever done in my life. That first heavy trip COMPLETELY severed my relationship with money and conventional measures of success. For my entire childhood and early adult life, I thought having a lot of money meant I'd be happy. Mushrooms took that expectation and rubbed my nose in it. They showed me that the pursuit of material things is what makes us *unhappy* in modern society, that success is fake, that I have everything I need to be happy within me. I'd recommend mushrooms to anyone who isn't afraid of their thoughts, and who wants to understand themselves in a way that is nearly impossible to achieve in normal consciousness
That's what the ancient yogic sages were trying to teach humanity. They achieved the same realization through meditation.

Mark, I encourage you to check your biases in these interviews. I understand that you're working with homeless people and you really feel driven to help them, but you don't always have to latch onto your preconceived notions of why they are in the position that they are in. There are a lot of people doing quite well for themselves in their own ways who use mushrooms or other psychadelics to navigate trauma, mental health issues, or even just for fun. I can't speak to your education level on these topics, but from your leading questions and the biases perceived within them, this interview felt particularly unfair, and I've seen glimpses of this come through in other videos. It seems at times that you can't resist inserting yourself into some of these stories and trying to steer these people in a direction that *you* deem to be more appropriate. Comparing your interviews with the mob bosses -- talking to them like they're rockstars and sounding at times as though you're borderline starstruck by their stories -- to ones like this where you come off as significantly more judgmental and as though you're trying to tell people you've only just met where their life went wrong just doesn't sit quite right with me. You've done a lot of good for a lot of people -- probably significantly more than we're even aware of -- but nonetheless I would encourage you to continue educating yourself and checking your biases. I think that there is a line that divides pressuring questions that encourage interviewees to open up and questions/prompts that come off as preachy or judgmental.

Shrooms can be amazingly beneficial and I have myself and a close loved one as evidence. However, I also have a friend who had an extremely bad trip his first time and never tried them again, although I would argue that bad experience single handedly caused him to turn his life around. The key here is to not underestimate the power of psychedelics and to think of them as tools, not just recreation. They are profound and must NOT be taken lightly.
Its irresponsible to associate psilocybin in this way, its helping people in so many ways from addictions, suicidal depression, PTSD, etc.. When he jumped through the fire he was on weed and meth.

This guy reminds me of my ol college roommate. Talked in circles and giggles a lot. Hard to understand but a good caring man. My roommate was my friend. He did a bit too much one day and never really came back. Haven’t seen or heard from him in 21 yrs. I think of him often.
First time to be disgusted by Mark. He judged this guy endlessly, and was rude, abrupt and passive aggressive throughout. So confused. I understood his empathy and compassion to be from a place of acceptance. Bizarre interview. Maybe Doug didn’t appear desperate and ravaged enough. Or perhaps there’s a back story. Hey Doug, I'd recommend you see a kinesiologist for your issues with lyme disease. A friend of mine had chronic Lyme disease and after several years of battling it with no results, she saw a kinesiologist that instantly could start to remedy her symptoms and she is now, about 6 months later, totally free of all symptoms.

So glad I seen this one, I have travled some of the scenes and have had some very insightful psychadelic experiences. But it became ever apparent that there is a producers and consumers mindset. Ran into alot of wooks, people looking to take advantage, and people that had the right idea of love, but no real direction or as mentioned, discipline...So unfortunately an association and stigma still exists with free spirited lifestyle. Guys down to earth.
That was such an interesting, insightful interview Mark.. I’d love to try Psilocybin to help lift my depression because I’ve literally tried everything else..I haven’t heard of one bad result when used in a minimally correct fashion..
Look carefully in to micro dosing.
It's changing lives.
Just don't go over what you need (0.1-0.2g 2 days on, 2 days off works well) or it just becomes drug use.

I tried the smaller doses at first just to calm my anxiety about tripping. Then, I went with an average dose for many which is around 2.5-3.5g depending on your size. I’ve tripped a dozen times over the last 5 years and it has totally turned my life around. I learned to love myself which in-turn allowed me to truly love others. That’s what I was missing all along. No more hate. No more judgement. Just the ability to empathize totally. This released me from the chains I didn’t know I was wearing. I can see why they were outlawed. It’s very dangerous to how we currently live in the structure we have been provided since birth. It really breaks to free and allowed you to think for the first time. Sorry.. rambling now.

I tried a cup of mushroom tea in Ko Samui, Thailand with 2 good friends many years ago. I think we had what Bill Hicks described as a 'Heroic Dose' as we had the most unforgettable and mind bending 8 hours! I still have detailed memories of that night, 25 years later. It was beautiful, healing, hypnotic and cleansing. I believe that mushrooms are grossly under rated and have healing powers that conventional meds cannot offer. Strange that they are not given out on prescription since there have been so many extremely positive results during clinical trials for various problems including anxiety and depression. But, that is another story!

Here in ireland i pick shrooms from september to november, as many as i can. For me they are great for resetting the mind and for seeing a different perspective on life, issues etc . I drink alcohol socially as well, that's it. Here in ireland druids ate mushrooms and created amazing artwork and stories
Shrooms are great and no Mark. .. there aren't really any negatives when used occasionally. Except of course you have underlying schizophrenia that might trigger it.
But they're really good at keeping you focused on priorities and positive mindset.
I am however worried that being in skidrow you won't find psychedelics and will instead go to whatever is there. He obviously hasn't done shrooms in a long time cause he wouldn't even be okay with living in skidrow if he was still doing shrooms. He probably does meth now.

Whatever else he is doing, I really don't think it is helpful, or honest to label him a "psilocybin" user. Psilocybin has been used by humans for over ten thousand years, and is extraordinarily safe for occasional use by mentally sound individuals.
