Been using the devil's lettuce for the last 15 years. The biggest problem I ran into was when I lived at home as a teenager. My parents hated it, told me I'd wind up a burnout, told me I'd never hold down a job. I graduated top of my class in 2015, started my own business, bought a house and am 13 years ahead on my mortgage. I'm more productive than 90% of people I know. The stigma against pot created a significantly larger problem in my life than the pot itself.
I will take “things that didn’t happen” for 1000 please
George Washington smoked weed.
I'm am glad to see you are successful in this life. But Weed is against God
Preach!
Impossible to smoke that much... 😂..blah blah bullshitter. Excuse and delusional
This is clearly more than Marijuana, this man clearly has some unresolved trauma. He starts moving a lot when he's talking about family and tries his best to describe his trauma in a nonchalant way so it doesn't feel serious. I hope he'll find peace. Self-medicating with Marijuana can be fine for some, but for him maybe its affecting him.
The marijuana in my opinion is likely a coping mechanism that brings him into a space where he doesn't have to feel it 24/7. He may not have the tools or the insight yet to see how we are not locked-in to any life circumstance. We can step into a better life one self caring choice at a time. I hope the numbing of his feelings doesn't keep him from finding the levers he needs to get out of it.
Trauma leads to addictive behaviors wether it be food or marijuana.
Unresolved trauma on soft white underbelly. Imagine that.
"Self medicating" lets be honest, actually means getting high and no, getting high isn't good.
Cannabis can be abused just like any other drug, I'm glad he's using something relatively safe compared to the other drugs around him but he's definitely using it to escape something. He might not overdose or move on to harder drugs but if he doesn't get some help for trauma, he'll wake up in 10 years and nothing will have changed. I've watched people abuse marijuana and the problem gets to be that they're comfortable doing nothing with their lives and lose all motivation to try. One guy I know has himself convinced that it's his medicine but he's in his late 30s and lives with his parents, doesn't work, doesn't even have his drivers license and just gets high all day. He says he wants to work so I found him a job trimming and he just pretended that he never got my message. He doesn't want to work, he wants to sit around getting high all day collecting disability smh. If he didn't have his parents to live with, this guy would be him. Using it as medicine generally speaking should have him able to live his life, get a job, move out, etc but it's just a crutch he calls medicine. If it was really his medicine, he could eat a few edibles in the morning and go to work like countless other people I've met who use it to help with things like pain...
props to this dude to be able to make everything up as he went...
🤣🤣🤣
I had a feeling this kid was making it up as he went along. If he truly gets as high as he says he does off weed, I want to know his dealer.
😅😅😅😅
Stones embellish alot.
but he got picked up and thrown across the room by the throat! BY THE THROAT!
As someone who's smoked marijuana every day for close to 20 years now, Seth Rogen really put it best when he likened it to a pair of shoes. Could you go through life without shoes? Yes. Would it be more comfortable to wear shoes? Of course.
Very subjective! My first few years of smoking i'd 100% agree. But then those shoes became very uncomfortable
A lot of people would disagree about the shoes.
Genuine question...why do people who smoke weed seem to always talk about it/seem to make it part of their personality? Like it's a pretty normal thing to smoke pot but a lot of people seem to wear it on their sleeve like it is really edgy or something. I mean no offen😢to you personally and I am.asking out of pyre curiosity
@@lilnutty6821 you'd be surprised to learn how many people who smoke weed that you don't realise. You're only aware of the ones who make it part of their personality if that's your experience.
@@lilnutty6821 It really isn't a part of my personality and I live in a country where it's been legal for some time so the edgy stigma is really no longer applied. If you look at my point it was referring to the fact that yes, the world is indeed splendid in its natural state. There are those of us however who prefer that state slightly altered and more in line with how we perceive the world. If that makes sense.

Sad, homies got to work on the pathological lying. Fulcrum and Yola dont even come close to that. Why he feels the need to say that is beyond me, it just makes him sound silly like a high-school bragging about how much they smoke or drink only to look a fool.
Lol
As a weed smoker I'm very skeptical about him saying he smoked 2 pounds a month. Not only would you have to be rich for that, you would have to be smoking huge joints constantly all day every day.
2 lbs a month??!!! He just said 2 lbs a week and 52 grams of wax 😅😅😂😂😅😅
He claimed to smoke 2-3 pounds a month. Then, he says the average smoker consumes about a gram a week, and that he smokes a gram in a day. That was what did it for me. One joint is usually around between half a gram to a little over a gram. One ounce is about 28 grams. There are 16 ounces to a pound. His math is completely off, revealing a pretty bad grasp of how weed is weighed and consumed.
thats all i could think about 😂 even with $100 oz + $7 wax g, thats a minimum of 4k.. and theres mad doubt hes paying those prices. master yapper @@nicolettewestdinnerparty6275
@@andremiller2942 he was talking about a gram of wax in a week lmao even smoking a gram of flower in a day isn't impressive at all, I'd struggle real hard and not even be getting high if I had just a gram to last me the whole day.

I wish you would interview a tradesman like a brick and mortar layer or a welder. You know, ask them how they got into the industry, how they learned the trade, how difficult it was to learn. I think you'll find the working man and everyone else have a lot in common, we're all struggling. As a welder myself at 21 years of age I struggle every day to get up and go to work. It's so hard sometimes you just wanna cry.

Christopher still has aspirations for computer programming/gaming, I hope he’s able to pursue that some day. He has a lot to offer, I’m praying he finds his way. ❤
Pray for whirrledpeas
Let me get this straight he had a 200K grant for video game development but was involved with cyber security which is quite different than video game development. Christopher was also a masseuse for several years even though he has ADHD and RSD. It seems unlikely that an individual with these sensory issues would be employed as a masseuse. Yet, the man is only 27 years old and judging from his story appears to have very little formal education.
Now lets tackle the pot claims. Christopher claims to smoke 3 lbs of weed per month. On average weed costs $1500 per pound which means he spends $4500 per month on weed and is homeless. So this homeless man has $4500 per month or $54000 per year to spend on weed. I wish when it is clear that someone is lying that Mark would be a little more questioning of a story that clearly is false.
No one can throw a 200lb person across the room by the neck with one arm.

In life when I meet people that are obviously lying about inconsequential things, I let it go nowadays. In the past I probably would call them out just on principle, but now it makes me sad for them that they feel like they have to lie like that so I just let it go. Anyone that does this know that you are enough, your story is enough, just how it is. You dont have to justify why you arent as far in life as you thought youd be, or try to make your self what you think would be more interesting/cool/tough/whatever. I myself when I was young, have told some obvious lies and couldve easily been caught in them, but the people I was talking to were gracious enough no to call me out. If they wouldve, they wouldve made me feel so embarrassed and deepened my insecurities that led to the behavior in the first place. So I feel bad for how this guy is going to feel if/when he reads our comments calling out his exaggerated stories. However, it would probably be eye opening and good for self reflection for him to learn what people think when he talks like this, maybe realize he needs to make them sound closer to possible. And, while he may be embarrassed that everyone saw this ln the internet, likely none or very few people that he knows in real life will see it and those are the people that matter. He can take our perceptions and have them in mind when he begins to tell these tales. Also, he should know that most of is look back at some of the things we used to say when we were younger and cringe. Its part of growth. No temptation has come upon you that is not common to man.
Agreed!! This comment should be pinned to the top❤

People try to downplay marijuana being a problem but it's not about the drug, it's about the person using it! Anything can be addictive and be a problem if the person using it is doing so to escape reality. I've heard about people addicted to abusing Benadryl, something most people wouldn't enjoy at all but for some reason, that uncomfortable, delusional state for them is still better than reality I guess. That's why I've never liked the idea that there's "good" or "bad" drugs, drugs are inanimate objects that we give power. Fentanyl is bad when you're smoking some random version of it you bought on the street but if you have cancer or are in extreme pain and have a prescription version of it, it's a miracle drug. Drugs do have a safety profile but that's about it and even a drug that's extremely safe like weed doesn't mean it's suddenly good for everybody. The effects of all drugs are different for every individual, pharmacology and biology are way more complex than a drug just being good or bad.

Really? I am pretty sure there are other issues besides the pot smoking. My sister-in-law is a CO at GE and she is s marijuana advocate and user. This just feels click-baitish.
He did it yesterday too. It makes it look like weed is a one way ticket to skid row.
This guy should turn his love of food into a career, I could see him becoming a chef at a specialized "smoke bar" in a state where weed is legal. He could get high and make food for everyone else who's high, win / win!
Nice ! Turn that negative into a positive!
Yep, or one phrase that’s even deeper than that is, turn that frown upside down. Also my new fav., If you find a couple lemons, make a glass of ice cold country lemonade, or something real similar to that. Keeps me putting one foot in front of the other.
The problem with that idea is his addiction has grown to the point he is no longer functional.
@@feetfats1 it comes down to choices. He has to choose to stop using. You can’t help someone that doesn’t want to help himself. He has romanticized his addiction and life. Until he wants change he won’t change.
@@feetfats1 You give people a little hope and another chance, show them that progress is possible, give them a little guidance, and if that person wants to legitimately change and prosper, it can happen.
Must’ve been a slow day to waste 30 minutes interviewing this dude…. Sheesh. Love your channel Mark!
I think there is more than ADHD at work here. The game is over since they made it legal. The only one holding him back is himself. Living in the past remembering the negative experiences instead of trying to find the positives. I have ADHD AND IM UNMEDICATED. I’ve taught myself how to function in life.
„Burger eater Interview“ would have been more exclusive ^^
You know, despite how some of the things he said seemed inconsistent narratively, he actually spoke a few profound words that made a lot of sense and seemed to come from a place of complete transparency.
For instance, when he talked about his anger and how he uses weed to cope, and when he said 'most people are just trying to mask their feelings when they smoke (regardless of whatever else everyone in the comments thinks he's smoking besides cigarettes, that statement could apply to _any_ addiction),' and especially his closing response.
Despite knowing how his choices have negatively impacted critical areas of his life, he still realizes that there's no use in being a pessimist and that life is worth looking forward to everyday, with confidence...something I myself was completely unable to do in my worst depressions, active addiction and atheism.
I'm impressed with this man's lucidity in being able to identify his problems without filter, personally.
What's truly [sad and] reprehensible is the lack of honesty and self-reflection that I easily saw by grazing over this comment section for just a short moment from admitted weed-smokers who want to justify their own cope by shaming this guy for not meeting their standards of what a habitual marijuana user should look like.
Addictions are deadly, it doesn't matter what it is.
So I have to challenge any of you that think you're better than this guy because you 'smoke differently' or some self-justifying nonsense-to try and go without your habit for more than two ✌️ weeks.
If you can't, then you already know that you're stuck in a vice.
But if you make it, it's still going to be a struggle, and you'll be forced to admit that you're no better than an addict with a substance problem.
What I see coming from most people in the comments who are pointing the finger at this guy, is that they're just afraid to see themselves in him-and because they actually _do,_ they turn to shaming him for "giving stoners a bad look (which is a terrible argument in the first place because since when was being a stoner _ever_ a good look? Can we apply that same perspective to food addicts and alcoholics, too??)🙄", and that could only come from a place of deep-seated hypocrisy, in my opinion 💁🏿♂️
Wow I really enjoy your comment on this video your perspective is incredible . The last thing about being a hypocrite makes me think about conversation I had with my dad once
@@michaelstevens864 what did he say [in your conversation]?
He only smokes 3 ounces a day? That's nothin 😂
🙄
This dude is way out there… circus show 😂
His only truth is when he stated 'life is a struggle'. Everything else is a whining complaint or excuse and he has victimhood down to a science.
