    Friends! Pleased to see this older one starting to gain traction. Unfortunately there’s a lot of sus and straight up false things emerging in this comment section. I actually considered turning them off for this video (for the first time ever). Instead, I’m just going to pin this sentiment. Do your own research via reputable sources on this topic and be cautious out there (and in here). As I’m typing this, it occurs to me that if you already have an ounce of common sense, this comment is meaningless, and if you don’t, it won’t get through to you anyway 😂.
    Much love!

      My 1st heroic dose, I went in wanting to ask the universe for a sense of meaning & purpose. Among the feelings of being all knowing, came the fractured reflections of self ( trauma’s, flaws, strengths, etc) Then I found myself traveling through what felt like a wormhole. Then a woman-like face appeared on the side of the worm-hole. She spoke to me and said “You’re not ready” then disappeared. The 2nd experience, I’m going through the same worm-hole. And the identical woman-like face pops in. And all she did was look at me, smile, and disappear again…
      Haven’t done a 3rd heroic dose yet, but plan on it sometime in the near future..
      -Side story: years before even experimenting with 🍄. One completely sober night, I went to sleep and had a lucid dream. I was outside of my body, looking at myself sleeping. I look around my room and look at the clock seeing that it was around 330am. Then a bright light shines through my window and fills my entire room. And two voices say, “Come with us if you would like to know the truth.” I started to move into the light, wanting to go. Then abruptly the light disappeared and I immediately woke up. After the initial wtf moment upon waking up, I looked at the clock and it was 3:33am. Which freaked me out and made me actually look out the window to see if there was anything out there… there wasn’t, but the experience felt so real.

    I Could remember several years ago I was diagnosed with ADHD. Also suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Not until my mom recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.

      I Hate that psilocybin gets grouped with drugs like cocaine and heroin. Mushrooms are a remedy, not a vice! I went on a micro dose treatment for a couple of months and within the first week, every sight of a cigarette got me questioning why I was doing all that to myself. It really works.

    I am not spiritual at all, but after taking shrooms a few months ago I am much happier and am highly motivated and my ADHD gone , lost a ton of anxiousness and had a few epiphanies about how I should live my life. I decided to buy an ounce for backup, but haven’t yet felt the need to take any more since then.

    I love hearing about your experiences, you explain it very coherently and also express really well how hard it is to grasp the actual experience without having the experience.
    I don't think that reducing it down to neurochemistry invalidates what's happening, considering that anything a human can experience-sight, hearing, hunger, pain, emotions, memory-all comes down to neurochemistry at its core.

    • @THIRDEYEDROPS
      @THIRDEYEDROPS  Рік тому +3

      My 2 cents- Neurochemistry is surely involved in all of human experience , but there’s an explanatory gap between neurochemistry and qualia (what it’s like to directly experience subject reality). See my pods with Dr. Donald Hoffman and or Chalmers’ hard problem of consciousness TED talk if you want to dive deeper ✌️.

    Thanks for making this video. Your account closely mirrors a 4g trip I had recently. The trip was excruciatingly difficult for me, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Ended up bawling my eyes out a few times. I felt exhausted coming back down, but the brutal experience gave way to an incredibly beautiful existence and ineffable state of being that I can only wish for everyone to experience.
    I also echo your sentiment and intuition that psyche is all. It's within us, but we are also within it. I think a lot about the Zen idea that there is no "one or the other", but both things simultaneously. Consciousness and material reality are one in the same, and when you see that your eyes are really open. Life truly is magic.
    Many blessings to you, and congrats on your safe and informative journey, Michael. I love your channel, and the pod.

    What you said from about 19:05 to 20:12 was precisely the same thoughts and feelings I’ve been having recurrently for the last year or so. So nice to see others having this same sense and understanding, and articulating it so well. Hopefully we humans overall don’t lose our own mind’s integrated spiritual richness in quantum/digital reductionism before we are able to allow the functional tools we create from these specific approaches to actually aid us to spread the ‘real thing’ (the deep spirituality and love from Gaia and the intrinsic multiplicit beauty of interconnected organic Earth life).

    Your final take away - That humans are to use their intelligence to spread life around the cosmos! That is stunning. I have experienced it as a drive to evolve through love and light. That evolution is to... ? Who knows. The other thing I think of a lot, related in a way, is the quote from I think John the Baptist (I am not a Christian so may get this wrong) "the one who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; ". My meditation teacher also said this. I wonder if some of that is about HOW we choose to evolve based on our current state of consciousness.

    • @EncourageLegacy
      @EncourageLegacy 6 місяців тому +2

      Good that you recognise! It's heavy in meaning.
      For he said that about Christ.
      When John the Baptist was asked, on his take about previous followers now all following Him. Whether he was bitter about it, so to speak.
      John didn't say that about himself, and, my brother, I'd be wary if anyone told you that about himself. There's no taking credit relating to Ego in being a true believer. Instead, he pointed to the awe of God Himself.
      When I read the words of Christ Jesus, I realise I do not need any spritual teacher. It's all in Him.

    Paying attention to your experience is that the substance allows you to percieve deeply rooted programming within the human existence. The desire to spread life, the yearning for purpose, the interconnectedness of human life, the realization that all senses are processed essentially the same way, feelings about people and things being more clear. The entities being manifestations of deeply set subconscious representations of attitudes or experiences that we dont ever really go in depth with.

    I spent most of my life trying to treat depression to no avail. Therapy helped, but did not really fully help me enjoy life.
    Those psychedelic experiences changed my life forever. I truly felt like I saw the lining of the Universe and finally found a meaning of life.
    Fast forward 3 years, a lot of bad stuff happened and I have now fully spiralled back into depression. I almost lost my hope because I forgot the precious knowledge psychedelics gave me. This video really helped me remember. Thanks for sharing. I will try and ask mushrooms for help once again.

    I’m a professional psychic and I literally encountered a “jester” being earlier today in meditation 🃏 (stumbled on this video, by “chance” lol, no such thing as chance it’s all in perfect order)
    I just wanted to confirm that I’ve seen all of these things in my work and meditations (minus the synesthesia), so this is fascinating to me, as I, and others like me, are proof in a way that seeing in this way isn’t a result of the mushroom itself, rather, it’s a product of consciousness/mind merging with the unseen realms. Innately I know that all humans are inherently psychic but many have become “dormant”.
    We are all capable of living psychically and mushrooms may act as a gateway granting access to the inner mind which can be used as a supplement or initiation into our innate psychic abilities for those in a currently dormant state. (I didn’t activate my gifts this way, but I think it can be useful for many who may struggle to access this level of mind independently). Thank you for sharing this experience! 🙏🏻 😊 🍄 👁️

To my experience, all mushrooms have always said, "Pay attention to your life. How you think, how you feel, and what will you do with the information that you always knew, but now are seeing in this point of view." This is why mushrooms are so respected in tribal cultures. One of my favorite things to do on a big dose (7g or more for me) is listening to music with headphones on and my eyes closed. Eventually you'll just be inside the best music video you've ever seen in your life, the visuals are in sync with the music, it sounds 10000x better than it normally does and the best part is that you can *feel* the music. I'll literally feel like i'm flying through space, my body and the universe are all the same, and it's twisting, bending and break dancing to the sound of music and it feels unimaginably amazing. Feels like a long lasting, full body/universe orgasm x1000 and the euphoria is off the motherfuckin' charts. It's unbelievable and I always try to imagine it, but when I manage to make it back there i'm reminded that it's soOoooo much better than you could ever possibly imagine.

    I’ve taken up to 20 grams before. More than once, quite a few times last summer. Of course I was on shrooms every day for a month so 20 grams wasn’t so bad. I went about my day, went shopping for groceries and talked to a bunch of people. Went camping for a couple weeks near my home. Met people and hung out with them and had fires. I was cooking and chopping firewood and wrote a couple awesome poems. I am 48 years old and and four years clean from serious addiction. Heroin and meth in a needle. So I can handle drugs like mushrooms very well. I use them now not for fun but for healing and spiritual purposes. They have changed my life for the better in so many ways. I’ve also done 5-meo-dmt a few times. If it’s an ego death trip you’re looking for look no further. Anyways, love to all the fellow psychonoghts and everyone else.

    I couldn't drift away
    I was lost in a wave of time that always started from a moment from my memory that lead to no place that left me hanging left me drifting in an endless loop tearing away at anything
    Anything that would wake me up.
    I felt I knew what the end and the beginning was and I could live my countless lives forever.
    My mind is tired but it's still grabbing for anything that pull me away from letting go and I'm stuck.
    Stuck in the loop. The more I let go, the more stuck I had become and I felt my mind slip into one void full of never ending sadness and pain
    But just has my mind had reached it s breaking point and I've given into the nightmare. My eyes open, my eyes open and all I experienced drifted into the the void slipping from reality and I'm left wondering if it all was in my head. I leave my bed looking for signs that all the years I spent in that moment had actually happened. I'm left with all that madding pain, that madding pain. Tearing away at my reality, I want to experience it all over again but I am too afraid, to reach beyond myself again. Because I know how it ends, it ends with me waking up again...

    "Is this where language came from in the first place?" Are we "dipping into...where archetypes live"?
    The subjective experience of taking hallucinogens would certainly suggest so. Problem is, this suggestion is only occurring to you within your brain, which is being explicitly affected by the hallucinogen.
    As fun as it may be to speculate, the superstition that's embroidered into these experiences is seriously misleading, and I'd argue harmful. Language, archetypes, and meaning in general are all human creations, and it's not the other way around. Archetypes live only in the imaginary space we provide for them.
    To be clear, more and more I'm swayed less and less by the apparent 'hard problem.' The only thing that's hard about it is that it's so forcefully apparent; but the thing is, _making things apparent_ is precisely what the brain does. The brain creates the appearance of reality; it makes our reality apparent to us, in spite of it not necessarily being so. Taking a perfectly imperfect environmental simulating machine (like our brain) and then altering it chemically can (and will) produce only one result: a convincingly altered simulation suggesting an altered nature for/of that brain's host environment.
    It's somewhat bleak to admit this, but the only "presence" in there is whatever we carry in. Who better to fool your perception of reality than your perception of reality itself? Welcome to existential absurdity. Hey, at least the coffee here is cheap.

    • @charwest5892
      @charwest5892 Рік тому

      Language, arguably, came about when humans developed the Corpus Collosum. The part of the brain that merges the two hemispheres. As much as Terrance Mckenna did for science, the stoned ape theory is full of faults and holes. Could altered states have helped further expression, sure. But the root of this evolution is the social need to communicate and plan for the future, not because of getting high and seeing shit clearly.

    • @pocket83squared
      @pocket83squared Рік тому +1

      @@charwest5892 There's nothing I could possibly disagree with in there. The brain, as an environmental simulation device, is built for making predictions about future states. It achieves this end through the recognition of patterns. In such a device, accuracy will be in demand. Getting high would be a diversion, not a development.
      [Input] inaccurate patterns→ [output] specious predictions.
      Whether its correlative or causative, language is an emergent property associated with an increased simulatory accuracy; at some point, by sheer comparison, we became aware of the existence of 'others' in this space. Eventually we were able to recognize them as being similar enough to ourselves that we might even, somehow, exchange our comparisons (patterns) with them. First, attention: what better way to get it than a shrill sound?

      @@isaacburrows8405 Perhaps I could've said "make things _seem_ apparent," but then you might move the goalpost to ask again, "but seem apparent to whom?" From this I will evade by admitting to you where the real hard problem of consciousness is, but first: a who is created by the seeming. Whether the seeming itself is real, certifiable consciousness remains debatable, if you ask me. The easy explanation is to assume that consciousness is naturally self-evident, and indeed, Descartes built an entire philosophy on this first principle, but in light of the several hundred years' worth of scientific inquiry since, and its complete failure to suggest anything non-material enough to continue to justify Dualistic thinking, I remain unconvinced by what the claim implies.
      Consciousness is only magical because we assume it to be so. Drop this assumption, and what "can't possibly be" suddenly changes.

      What you're saying is like taking a photograph in a mirror of the camera itself and claiming there's no way to know if there was film in the camera because you can't see it in the photograph.

    Great story - thank you!
    It’s amazing how and where the mind can take you! I have used these tools many times!
    Question for you - curious your take… have you tried mushroom tea and steeping for 20’minutes than consuming the tea and mushrooms?
    Have you tried Ayahuasca and mushrooms together? I had a beautiful experience using these together where it was just total beauty…
    Again thank you!

    Thanks great work, my favourite bit was the reminder that we are here to be gardeners so to speak gardeners of the universe, plamting new life across the Cosmos. And it makes sense when you think magic mushroom sporse could have been blown to the planet across the vast distances of space and so they are only encouraging us to do what they have already done . Which is nice, they're not asking us to do something foreign to their own knowing

    Bro you said so much of what I have experienced personally. And it's that connection that makes me realise humans are so special. Nature is even more special and the universe helps power it all. Full connection. I got given a major insight by a entity. And its had a masculine tone. This whole thing we are in is SO SO SO complex. You could not imagine the power god/gaia/nature. It is incomprehensible. But shrooms give you a understanding/ a insight and if your lucky information. Love the planet you live on it's a beauty.. promote love be happy s

    As someone who suffers with extreme severe anxiety I can totally relate to her. I would stop eating for days at a time as a punishment. I worry a lot about my life, everyone around me and pleasing everyone. It's absolutely crippling, so glad she got the help she needed, lovely young lady it's so sad that society has 1 in 3 people suffering mental health issues. I hope everyone seeks help

    love this !!
    totally agree with your takeaways at the end!
    Some thoughts;
    'Its all in your head' - well yes, as literally everything you have ever known is and will ever be.
    'our head is in it' - this is as I experience these states and reminds me of Donald Hoffman and Duncan Trussell. I believe these states give us a glimpse into the source code beneath the user interface of physical 'reality' that our brain generates.
    'the brain is the virtual reality headset that the soul puts on for a life experience' - Duncan Trussell :)
