Spice Up Bath Time With Shot Glass Bath Bombs! Makes COLORFUL Water!

- Today I'm going to show you how to make a shot glass bath bomb. All this colorful, vibrant, & vigorous foam gushes out nonstop as soon as it hits the water. You can get really creative with this project. Please NOTE: I don't recommend this project for anyone new to bath bomb making.
RECIPE: 1 cup baking soda, 1/2 cup citric acid, 1/4 cup corn starch, 1 tbsp. (SLSa) Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate. + 10 milliliters fragrance, 2 milliliters polysorbate 80, 5 milliliters water.
The SLSa- Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate makes the bombs last longer & makes it less vigorous, & adds foam.
DIRECTIONS: Sieve dry ingredients together. Mix wet ingredients separately. Add wet ingredients slowly while whisking. Thoroughly mix, knead, and rub the mixture with your hands so ingredients are thoroughly incorporated. The mixture should hold together when squeezed.
MOLDING: assemble shot glass mold (minus top plunger). Fill mold with mix & level the top. Forcefully insert the plunger. Twist it back and forth to pack the mixture. Remove bottom plate and take sleeve off. Place bomb on a flat surface and gently remove the 2 sides. If the bomb gets stuck, leave the plunger in and gently tap both sides with a spoon until it releases. Dry 24 hours.
Make another batch for the colorful interior mix. Use the same recipe but omit the SLSa. Divide the dry and wet ingredients into the number of colors that you want. Mix wet and dry ingredients together [like we did before] for each color. Fill the shot glass with colorful mix. Pack and add mix until full. Dry 24 hours.
PAINTING: mix alcohol and mica. Rubber bands create crisp edges. Dry the paint a few hours before touching it.
PACKAGING: a shrink wrap bag works perfectly for this project.

I'm so glad!
You come up with the best ideas. Im so thankful for you my beautiful friend. ❤
You are so welcome
Could it be that some of the first powder in the shot glass was packed a little harder than others?
Regardless these are the BOMB!
That's actually the only logical explanation I suppose. Thanks!
fyi the website that Dora got these molds from is having a buy 2 get one free deal right now. i just snagged 6 new ones!
Awesome info. Thanks hippy!
If I can't SLSA can I use Sodium Lacate 80%
I think Sodium Lactate 80% is a salt additive. SLSA is a foaming additive. That’s just my thoughts.
Sub for a different powdered surfactant
@@CreativeBathLab like what!?!
I have followed the recipe exactly but it doesnt bubble up
Try again love! Dont give up
