About 10 years ago I was at uni and hated it. I was hundreds of miles away from my family, girlfriend and friends, utterly miserable and lonely. Before I could go home for Christmas, I had to finish an essay so worked throughout the night to get it done. At about 5am I walked from the library through the thick snow and cold to drop it off, this came on my iPod. I was instantly back in my bedroom it's my then girlfriend (soon to be wife), and I was so happy and felt so not alone. I packed my stuff and just kept playing it on repeat until I got home. I never went back to that uni but I go back to this song to remember that feeling

broken social scene might not be my favorite band, but feel good lost will always hold a very special place inside of me. i can distinctly remember the very first time i ever heard this song, it was about ten years ago now. it was the end of summer, and the beginning of my sophomore year of high school. i was 15 years old, laying next to my girlfriend on her bedroom floor. our hands were clasped together, fingers grazing each other's palm delicately and warily, in the way that only comes with your first love. staring up at her ceiling fan, i remember wondering how long could this moment possibly last; at the time it seemed like a vast ocean stretching out endlessly in every direction. i can remember it was a feeling so pure, so innocent, it felt like my heart would burst, that it was just too much beauty for any one person to experience in any one moment. with this video, you've somehow managed the impossible; to encapsulate everything that this song makes me feel inside, without ever having met me. thank you.

It makes you want to go back in time, but it also helps you realize that change is what makes the past so great. If you were still living the same life, you probably wouldn’t have realized how great those moments were you know. Nostalgia gives you a sense of appreciation.
Out of all the music ever matched to video that I have seen across my entire life, I've never seen a song put to visuals that fit better than this video. This might seriously be the most moving music video in existence. The images and sounds stir together in such a way to transcend the fact that its just audio and visuals - it becomes an experience.
