I have been looking for this song for years. In 2008 my father died, I found him dead when I came home from school-heart attack. I was miserable and depressed. I found this song about 2 months after he passed, and I would play it on loop over and over. Slowly, it faded. I searched for it but couldn’t remember the band or the song name. I finally found it. I found my father again.
Man...that's heavy. I lost my dad in 2013 and I know what it means to rediscover things that bring him back in some small way, even after all this time. I'm glad you have this song and I hope you're doing well.

It sounds like he is talking about molecules that bounce around and bond to other molecules by sharing their electrons, or by ripping the electrons away. Molecules make up every single part of our world, and they are colliding all around us...it just makes this song even more beautiful thinking of it that way in my opinion.

I came across this album years ago, and this track stood out to me then as it does now. I partially regret now having such easy access to the lyrics, because they were entirely different in my head without seeing the real ones. Still, what a beautiful fold of music and poetry, and still it can have such varying meaning across people or across time. Such is found, I believe, only in the truest art.

Thank you for sharing this. I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. I'm glad to hear that this song was the catalyst to being able to release and the conduit to memories with your friend. I hope you're doing ok.
What an amazing video. This song is great in just about everyway, how the lyrics are strangely puzzling, how the bassine sends my thoughts whriling, how the entire tone of the song lifts my spirits yet, somehow, makes me think of loves lost. Very nice work on the photos.
Just the right.amount of string, drum & "duh duh duh duh da da duh da doww" & that funny "Chica chic" reminds.me of.my.days as.a huge ska fan... Pinback. Always soothes
This is my favorite song of all time. Heard it first in late 2015. Had to figure out what it was instantly. So glad I did. I'd say so much more about it and what it means to me, but if you're watching this video I'm sure you already kind of get it.
This has been my favorite song for like 10 or 15 years (or whenever it came out). I downloaded it on Napster back when it was the thing. They were an "up and coming artist" or something like that and were featured. So glad I discovered Pinback and this song!
This song always reminds of one of my main buddies, Craig Sullivan. He decided to end his life back in 2012. We became homies over our mutual love of skateboarding and Pinback. I remember agreeing that “Loro” is a perfect song. Miss ya pal.
The lyrics remind me of how I'd move around a lot being a military brat; having to leave behind & say goodbye to childhood friends each time my dad was stationed, and to never "collide" with them again. It was like I was being "ripped" away from my friends every few years.. I think the numbers in the song have a nice touch, as if they're 5 digits to a new area code. I also read somewhere that, 'loro', means, 'they', in Italian, so perhaps, Loro, could symbolize the ones left behind.
They are an awesome band and once they get in your head they're there forever. I'm curious what some of your other favorites are. Also, I'm not sure if you're aware but the Deftones have a beautiful song named Minerva. Not sure if you're into that genre, but it was the first thing that popped in my head when I saw your name.
I watched this exact video about 10 years ago and just randomly stumbled upon it. Last time I watched it, I was just learning how to play guitar and discovering some of my favorite artists, including Pinback. Now I'm starting to write my own music. It's a frustrating process at times, but connecting to the music that inspired me in the early years is steering me in the right direction. Maybe next time I watch this I will have completed my album. Here's to inspiration and growth. 🤙
Good to finally know the rightful maker of this video. I have been watching this video for years now, and I must say it is a true work of art. It never gets tired of being watched, with all the unique visually stunning photos you chose, and how you intricately edited these images to fit each beat of the musicians craftmanship, like a well-fitted sweater, Plus it was my introduction to this awesome band. You made quite the impression...good job!!
I have also been watching this video for an incredibly long time. A song that has a lot of meaning to me. I noticed at 2:14 the three sisters, a rock formation in katoomba, NSW. I have been to this place several times in my life as I live in Australia. Strange, but beautifu.
Wow...thanks man. I put it together over several days, sitting in a Barnes & Noble while procrastinating on a college paper. It's nice to know that my slacking resulted into something people somewhat enjoy. Six years late, but thank you for the kind words
Really? Weed? You can keep the talk of drugs to yourself, while the rest can be said. No one cares if they can't have any. Nah just kidding, but it is cancer to talk about snortin' one (made that up myself) to a cool song. It just derails the good vibe.
I'm watching this video for the first time after I broke up with my girlfriend after 7 years together and find the original version of Loro after I've been listening to the Tssf's version. The song is masterpiece and the video goes perfectly with its vibes. It reminds me of the good ol'days spent with her, when we were 17/18 years old and now it's all different. I'm going to never stop listening to this song.
Wow...7 years. I can't imagine what it's like to lose a relationship that had been sustained that long. It has to be hard. But to keep it alive for seven years, especially with it beginning in the teen years is amazing. I hope it always exists for you as a happy memory and I hope you find even more joy in the next chapters.
@giggitypimp I absolutely agree with you... When I'm feeling down, I just watch this video, it tells me that there's so much beauty in life, and on this earth. It reminds me that there's just so much in life, too much to fulfill with our individual lives. Life brings so many questions to mind. I wish so many people could enjoy this video, and one of music's best kept secrets, which is Pinback. Peace and Love.
Thanks! I'm...apparently 2 years late responding to this comment, but thank you! I feel the same way about the song. I often space out how frequently I listen to it, because I don't want to lose that feeling.
I remember finding this from a random youtube comment back in 2017 on what I think was a Seether music video? They were pretty arrogant towards Seether, but they did provide Pinback as an example of a better band, and since then, this has been up there with Boa and Seether for being my mental health music, just letting me rest, unpack all the burdens and cozy down. Thank you random UA-cam comment that I cannot find for the life of me
Points for seeing past that commenters pretentiousness and being able to appreciate Pinback despite it. My instinct would have been "bashing a band I like? screw the band you like" ha ha ha. I like your description of them being mental health music. We all need that music, and I can definitely see Pinback fitting that description. Your comment just sent be back down a Seether rabbit hole. Driven Under and Breakdown have always been the top for me. I'm curious...do you prefer Broken with, or without Amy Lee?
@adamscofield28 I reckon the version with Amy Lee hits harder, cause it's about their broken relationship, due to Shaun's at the time alcoholism issues which was pretty bad. The solo version is good too, but I think the version with Amy Lee sounds brilliant. Driven Under has always been a favourite for me too, with Burrito being at second
I had to put aside my "That isn't the real song!" impulse the first few listens, but it definitely grows on you as its own entity. I like it a lot! Also, their other song from that EP, Clairvoyant, is one of the most amazing acoustic songs I've ever heard. Looking at their spotify, that is apparently not a unique take, but it is absolutely incredible.
Definitely. Thanks for watching the video. My favorite Pinback tracks (of the ones not listed): 1. How We Breathe 2. True North 3. AFK 4. Proceed to Memory 5. Sender. If you're looking to get any of their albums, Autumn of the Seraphs doesn't have a bad track on it and is my favorite at the moment. But those are just my opinions.
Thank you for taking the time to respond. I still love the video and I can't imagine the time it took you to make it and I'm very happy that you did. It's amazing! I guess my point was the other 'falling' images didn't depict someone that we know died at the end of the fall. There's a plausible deniability for the viewer that they were not hurt except for that image. Again, I sincerely respect and appreciate the work and thought you put into this. I just wanted to give my opinion.
The comments to this song are amazing... I personally just think of being in my late teens/early twenties and driving somewhere fun and exciting. About 10 years ago is when I first heard this song and have been considering naming my next kid after it.
That would be awesome to name a kid after this song! And it's so cool that it takes you back to fun road trips. It is a perfect driving song, but for me it takes me back to the walks between college classes...a few minutes to mentally escape before the reality of responsibility set back in. In the end...just a great song to go somewhere to.
Thanks man! I'm psyched people like it. I made it over several sessions in a Barnes & Noble while procrastinating on a college paper, so it's nice to know that my slacking turned into something somewhat entertaining.

This song and surfing with my best friend was the only comfort I had during my most testing moment. Forever in my heart
This song always reminds of one of my main buddies, Craig Sullivan. He decided to end his life back in 2012. We became homies over our mutual love of skateboarding and Pinback. I remember agreeing that “Loro” is a perfect song. Miss ya pal.
The ripped ones say goodbye
Pinback has been my favorite band since I heard Seville! Great video ❤️
so glad my sister wrote this in my songbook. couldn't feel and more grateful!
Pinback has such a timeless rhythm.
ive been watching this video for years everytime I want to hear this song. thank you for making great art.
I had dreams of writing the most beautiful song ever... Now it will never come to fruition because Pinback already wrote it
I’ve been listening to them a lot lately, new fan right here!
You are the man. Been watching your slides for over a decade now ❤
Wow, that's so nice to hear! Thanks for coming back!🙂
I watched this exact video about 10 years ago and just randomly stumbled upon it. 🤙
That's huge! Such a gift to be able to write your own music and I envy people like you who have that ability. Best wishes to you!
@@adamscofield28 Thank you so much! Definitely needed that encouragement today.
I'm moving from the Midwest to PNW soon and this will be on repeat for a good majority of the drive
Should make for an awesome drive! Safe travels
What a nice guy.
+Brett Crow what a niceee cereal box!
@@adamscofield28 just now discovering this gem but yeah. The clip is very dope
Back when I smoked, I loved listening to this song. The video is pretty great too.
Good song to roll up a joint to and kick back while you're contemplating life
most definitely
Or just after a mad wank
Really? Weed? You can keep the talk of drugs to yourself, while the rest can be said. No one cares if they can't have any. Nah just kidding, but it is cancer to talk about snortin' one (made that up myself) to a cool song. It just derails the good vibe.
+Logan Mohler ha ha keep thinking so.
+Ruben Contreras look up annual deaths of marijuana compared to any other drug, before you go hating
One of the chillest songs ever and this video is so epic and beautiful. Thank you.
Thank you!
I'm watching this video for the first time after I broke up with my girlfriend after 7 years together and find the original version of Loro after I've been listening to the Tssf's version. The song is
masterpiece and the video goes perfectly with its vibes.
@@adamscofield28 thanks a lot
Seriously this song is particles of my soul. Armistead Burwell Smith IV is the greatest bass player in the 21st century.,
Les is kinda good.
+Kathy Smith Yes, Les Claypool :)
Victor also is above par.
Zach is better than les though
@giggitypimp I absolutely agree with you... When I'm feeling down, I just watch this video, it tells me that there's so much beauty in life, and on this earth. It reminds me that there's just so much in life, too much to fulfill with our individual lives. Life brings so many questions to mind. I wish so many people could enjoy this video, and one of music's best kept secrets, which is Pinback.
Peace and Love.
this song is addictive. it is so beautiful. i cannot stop playing it!
Discovered this today... Immediately became one of my favourite! Thanks for posting it... Pictures are superb.
Every fucking time I hear this song it’s instant chills. Good job with the visuals.
Thanks! I'm...apparently 2 years late responding to this comment, but thank you! I feel the same way about the song. I often space out how frequently I listen to it, because I don't want to lose that feeling.
Thanks for putting this video together. Love it. I will be rewatching this several times. Need to be able to process all of the images!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Your an extremely talented guy Adam, as a Pinback fanatic myself you nailed and obviously get it
Thanks for the kind words. I hope you're doing well 6 years after this comment.
Driven Under has always been a favourite for me too, with Burrito being at second
adored the song for years.... watching as this video reacts to the orgasmic bassline just puts me at a new level of relaxation
For those who haven’t yet, please go look up “the story so far, Loro” cover of this ❤️ it won’t disappoint
Thank you ❤
Bouquet is one of my favorites too ❤
Syracuse 👀
BEAUTIFUL. There has been something missing in my musical tastes these past couple of years. It was Pinback. So glad to have them back in my life.
The imagery is great. Helps for missing loved ones.
Nice! Heart love it. Elizabethtown movie soundtrack on youtube brought me here.
I had no idea it was on that soundtrack. Is the movie worth a watch?
I love this song from the bottom of my heart, thank you for the video.
Thanks for stopping by!
2021? who's here still loving pinback ❤
Cant believe this is from 1998 and i just found this song/group. great video - thanks for the post.
honestly, my favorite Pinback song. Makes me love life!
I just wanted to give my opinion.
nostalgic. these pics fit with my feelings with every pinback song. well done.
Profound in a mellow sort of way
Aloha
The comments to this song are amazing...
I personally just think of being in my late teens/early twenties and driving somewhere fun and exciting. About 10 years ago is when I first heard this song and have been considering naming my next kid after it.
That would be awesome to name a kid after this song! And it's so cool that it takes you back to fun road trips. It is a perfect driving song, but for me it takes me back to the walks between college classes...a few minutes to mentally escape before the reality of responsibility set back in. In the end...just a great song to go somewhere to.
I like the fact that you synched the photos with the bassline
Seriously? I thought that was the guitar part, very difficult to hear that. how did you know, master?
Michael Bulls Armistead Burwell Smith IV is the greatest bass player in the 21st century that's why.
For me it's Carlos Dengler
For me, it's the McChicken. The best fast food sandwich.
I love it how this video looks like it was made on Windows Movie Maker with a bunch of stock pictures and it looks so beautiful and so damn good
No regrets please! Nicely done. I'm glad I found this.
You sir deserve an award for this video. Well done! (hands clapping)
Thanks man! I'm psyched people like it. I made it over several sessions in a Barnes & Noble while procrastinating on a college paper, so it's nice to know that my slacking turned into something somewhat entertaining.
I like how you got each photo to show up in sync with the tune it looks nice
