No need to hate on Katy Perry. She isn't as fabricated as most other pop stars, and does write music not just sing. But Brian crushed this song. All versions, past,present and future have this to compare themselves to.
I was in shock when I learned that Kelly Clarkson sung this! Her version is too fast and modern, Brian's version sounds incredible! I always thought it was a Gaslight Anthem song! Kelly writes great lyrics, but it takes someone with true emotion to sing it
