Hey so far how you like road six comparing to power five what do you recommend after doing some more mileage still road six or power five

I’ve run road 5 to power 5 they all have great wet and dry performance, where they really shine is in cold and rainy weather and summer heat not so much you’ll start to lose grip at high speeds taking corners but it’s predictable and feedback from tires are 100% you can feel it lol. They have good tire mileage for the buck, I got 8k on the 5 all the way to the aramid casing and power5 11k, I can’t wait to try power 6. I can keep up with an R6 running rosso 4 with a speed triple on power5 and r6 slowly gapping as I can’t lean pass my rear sets scraping hope this helps.

Eyy fellow Oregon rider, good review btw and those dimples make a difference in wet conditions just be careful with throttle it gets washy, but predictable and you can really feel feedback from tires, hope you happy with em as I’m trying out the new power 6

I can’t find any decent reviews with people that at least take the rears to the edge. I get about 2500km out of any rear tyre on my Superduke and it’s a pain in the arse because I’m about to do some touring and want a rear which will at least last a bit longer.

      Hello,
I have them on my 2021 KTM SA S for more than a 1000km now and I must say; no complaints so far.
Going on the gas when wel leaned over gave me no signs of any weakness.
Nope, very happy with them 💪🏻💪🏾

@@hedonzx822 that's really great to hear! Right now I have the dunlop mk3. Really great tyre but I just want some more mileages out of them. Before this I had the road 5 on my Honda vtr 1000 like 2 years ago and the road 5 Is just now reaching the end of the tyres. While I have the Dunlops less then a year now 😬 and the are up for change...

@@TheBlackandTheBeast Do not expect miracles in terms of grip. While grip is very good for a tyre in this category, you can still not really compare to a road oriented sports tyre. The tyre itself is quite hard compared to compounds found on sports tyres.
I have around 4000 km on these thus far. They are perfectly adequate for your a higher hp bike, but won't perform very well on road pressures, average road surface and 40+ lean angles.
I've slid with both front and rear. Front has mostly no feel at high lean, which doesn't help imo.
Rear is pretty predictable though, starts sliding pretty slowly, gives ample warning.
Overall, I for one will probably never run these again, except if I have to do cross-continent or something similar.
If you do not push all that much, I can definitely recommend these, will last ages. Grip is adequate.
However, wet weather performance is more than adequate on something like Power 5 for example. And grip difference is quite noticeable imo.
If you don't get like 2000 miles from a pair of those, the tradeoff is not worth it, for me at least.
That being said, I've seen people shred Road 5s in 3000 miles. So....again, do not expect miracles in either department for R6.

@@ThaSideWeed thnx for your explanation. And I do get your point indeed! Sport tyres are indeed not to compair with sport touring tyres... I think I have to make some choices to make. Especially with the Bridgestone s22 upcoming with good reviews...
      But thanks again! 👍🏾🙏

      @@TheBlackandTheBeast No prob. Have fun.
Also try them out for yourself, most important.
Additionally, S22 is great for street, have done very deep trail braking, in lots of circumstances, never an issue. Turn in is not the fastest though.
Got a max of 10000 km on the rear 0 tread left but I am generally not extremely hard on rear tyres.
Front wore before rear. Sides around 3/4 from the middle flattened out noticeably by 6000 km. Around 7000 km with not much side tread. But extended to 10000 because I did not use side portion from that point on.
I get pretty high mileage for these tyres because I do not have a lot of fun roads close to me, somewhat smooth throttle, the S1000XR I have does not have tons of torque at low revs, I turn down TC only on twisty roads which helps preserve tyre life, + I have a great suspension setup + I monitor tyre wear and adapt pressures.
All of these help with tyre life to some degree.
As a sidenote, I for one will be trying Mitas SF+ EV next, tyre life is somewhat short, but grip is quite good at least in the dry, and they are very cheap.
You can see these in action on a Superduke GT at a reasonable pace. Seems quite ok. watch?v=GE3GcSLB_XY
