RNG plays a huge part in this speedrun, the more short lines the better
played on the latest pcsx2 version, no cheats enabled (v1.7.4191 avx2)
there was some time loss from emulator lag
timer starts when starting stage 1 and ends after the opponent's score hits 0 in the final stage
if the timer ends when the loading screen appears at the final stage, the time would be ~17:35.833
if the timer starts on the exact frame where i start the run and ends on the exact frame the opponent's score hits 0, the time would be 17:26.067

I used to have that emulator lag problem. Only way to fix it was putting the ISO, and emulator on an SSD.

How does the scoring actually work? I get docked crazy amounts of points for simple mistakes, but the CPU will put up gibberish and barely lose anything. I can't beat stage 5 no matter what I try.
