My brother was in an induced coma at the end of his battle with colon cancer. After 3 days vigil at his bedside I began to play a few songs from my phone on his pillow. This was the 4th song played and during the very last chord he took a deep breath and went home to be with the Lord. I know the timing was a direct witness from God to show me and those who hear this story that God is real. Keep the faith in peace and understanding.

My grandfather was one of my best friends. This song hits hard. It helps with grieving. ❤
My brother died of suicide in 1991. We had both witnessed our dad's suicide in 1957 when my brother was 3 and I was 7. This was devastating to me. When they committed these acts they both were 38 years old. Then I heard this song by Vince Gill. My dad and brother were both buried in our family cemetery on top of a hill in West Virginia. This song made me cry. I know the pain has to leave so the joy of the Lord comes in. My brother believed in God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost. I hope he went to heaven.

And after fighting PTSD for years...to die from the effects of Agent Orange. He died with such Dignity, and Faith. My father is a Vietnam veteran. I’m a veteran myself. I’ve watched him struggle my entire life with ptsd and the effects of agent orange along with combat related injuries. His drinking has slowed but more or less due to age. There is a special place in my heart for the veterans of that war. Your husband walks with the lord, and I’m sure he anticipates your reunion!

I lost my mama 4yrs ago and my big brother not even a year later. My daddy passed 13 years ago but it seems just like yesterday. They were my best friends. We all would talk every day sometimes more or I’d just drive over there to see them. Now I find out yesterday my auntie has stage 4 cancer! I feel like I’m dying inside an my chest hurts so bad it feels like my heart is being ripped out of my chest.😭😭Once she’s gone my 3 cousins an their children , there will only be me an my 3 cousins and only two boys to carry on our last name a very unique family name of ANSITE! So it’s a blessing to our little family to keep our family name to carry it on and I’m so sad that our family name may get lost for ever.😢😢😢 I’m the oldest out of us all and so. I will be put in place as the new monarch of our small family. We need prayers for our little family so if you believe in Jesus will you please pray for us? I've always loved country music...whether it's Gospel, Country Rock....anything country (yes....even Willy Nelson)! In my family....we were 4 siblings....all 1 year apart! My brother Frank and I were the closest as were 11 months apart!!! He was my hero!!! We were a bonded pair!! He was a country music lover who always sang and played guitar around the campfire, in the house....anywhere he found solitude!! He was self taught...never had one lesson and no one, not even my father, played guitar! He just watched others play and picked it up!
Frank passed away 3 years ago from a rare brain cancer! He was given 3 months to live but fought really hard and passed 5 months after being diagnosed!! While watching Country Throwback videos on TV....this exact video came on!!! I put the volume as high as it would go and cried my eyes out! Not only was I still grieving....I recognized that it was a sign from Frank that he's still watching over me!!! Ibfelt sad and blessed at the same time! It pains till today to have seen her that way yet i could not do anything to stop it. The innocence of her children asking me when their mother will come back really breaks me to the core. Hi grandpa, this is the 8th year that I pay a visit to your grave. Every year I come here I've grown since the year before and each time I have less memories of when you were alive. Tears are flowing while I try to write this. My mother raised me as a single parent in the 50s and 60s. She worked in a cotton mill for 8 hours a day and still found time to be a wonderful parent. She passed away several years ago after battling cancer and this song describes her life perfectly. She is resting now after a life of hard times. God bless her and those like her!!

I lost my daughter 16 years old to suicide in 2016. It was a good punch from life. She was a Mini-Me, I loved her unconditionally and I still do. It's so hard now not to be bitter but me and God worked it out. I'm so sorry to hear about your son. Anything you can do to cope that doesn't hurt you or anybody else is a good thing. Just keep love in your heart. Overtime it might get easier but it don't get better. Sometimes the scar is worse than the wound. This song really touches me and it inspires me to heal. I lost both my brother and my best friend. They passed away a year apart from each other my best friend passed in 2017 and my brother passed away last year. And they both were only 39 years old. This song helps me cope with their passing away and I know they are in a better place. I know I will see them again some day.
Why the early part of ur grief? I lost my Mom just over a year & a half, & the pain is just as intense now as when she first left. Im 67 y.o. & had been working 48 years in the funeral industry, not professionally, but in the background, so u would think I would be immune to death, but it's just the opposite. She & I never got along, but that was on her part. There were eight of us, but I always was the "black sheep of the family", as a matter of fact, I was never acknowledged as part of her family, but getting to the chase, she didnt raise me, I was adopted & raised by her aunt & uncle, but they both died w/i 13 days of each other in December 1964, so I moved in w/her & her evergrowing family, what a mistake that was. My parents left me $16 thousand & she ran through that in record time. Nobody in her family worked, not her or her boyfriend. They took my house, car & my life. I had to live through them & this went on for 53 years until she became sick & passed away in March 2018, now I finally got my house back but its in desperate need of repair. I even had the house remodeled for them, but I couldnt do anything in the house, & her other children had their way w/my house, she had a dope dependent son, & she mistreated some of them (mostly me) in his favor. Things had gotten so bad I was comtemplating suicide, but before she passed, she told me she was sorry for the way she had treated me, & asked me to forgive her, & I said "NP", no problem & that she loved me, & that is all I ever wanted from her.
(I could forgive her but could never forget her) because she had said & done some of the most heinous things u could or couldnt imagine, even tried to kill me twice, she believed in roots & black magic, & tried to kill me w/that, but that didnt work out for her. The Lord is my protector, & none of that tomfoolery work. In her months of her life, she had eight brain strokes, & the last one put her in a coma for eight days & she slipped on away. I took her departure extremely hard, & one sister got so upset w/me, that basically she has quit speaking to me. Too bad for her. I was nothing but a stepping stone for her & her family, but Im free & no one is going to take that from me. After that ordeal was over, I had all the locks to my house changed & that really infuriated them, but I really dont really give a damn, so in retaliation, they dont visit me or call me, & to be brutally honest, thats the way I like it, because when they do come by, they complain about the yard needs cutting, (the house has vinyl siding) they come by & say the siding needs pressure washing, but they dont want to have it washed, so if u arent going to help me, stay the HELL away. Im living off my social security allotment, & I can only do so much, but they have their fine houses, cars & jobs, & big bank accounts, but they dont realize or care that it was me who gave up my life, so that they could live their lives, but my God sits high, looks low & sees everything, while theyre flying high, they dont realize that "the same people u passed on their way, will be the same people they see on their way back down"!
They need to stop thinking they are beyond the scope of God & give HIM the glory, honor & praise before its too late, but they are just like their mother, dressing up on Sunday morning just to have something to do & go home to eat, like someone that has worked an eight-twelve hour job, but if that is the way they want to play w/Jesus, then in HELL will they lift up their eyes. What a sad commentary.
