Denon built a serious flagship receiver at an over all reasonable price. The problem is when you add speakers at $50k in your room people expect and judge you if you don't have separates etc.
You have an E core power supply rather than a toroidal. Other than an e core being more cost effective, what was the reason behind this? The cast iron feet seem pointless aswell, other than to add weight to the unit, is there a benefit to using the cast iron feet?
Will Denon have an upgrade option for this AVR as HDMI they only have 40Gbs, as TV's for 2024 will have 144Hz screens require the full 48Gbs bandwidth?
Hi, It would be great to get a real comparaison from tha AVC-A110 instead of the 8500h regarding measurement. What we saw in the presentation, is pretty sure the same with the A110 and the 8500H in comparaison. Too Marketing orented, that's a pitty cause the presentaiotn is quite nice ;) !
I just wanted to ask it here, but should I buy 2 more subwoofers, if I have the space for 2 more, or should I be fine with my current 2 sub woofers? I don’t have any intention of shaking the house, or anything, but I am just trying to figure out, if I should buy 2 more sub woofers, to go with my A1H? Or should I be fine with 2 pb-3000 sub woofers?
Is there Denon or else AVC that supports 9.4.6(8) configuration (with autoswitching for 8 top channels: 4 front/rear height, 2 top atmos, 2 center height+ voice of god)?
By faaaaaar Marantz cinema 30. I have both. The Denon only has build quality over the Cinema 30. A1 H is built like a tank. If you don't need the extra channels then go cinema 30. I'll save you a little more money, the Cinema 40 sounds almost exactly the same as the Cinema 30
This receiver and the marantz will be permantly BEYOND my means i mean the marantz sr 8015 is still over €2000 so thats it for me these 2 receivers are only for lottoand millionairs lotto winners thats if they are interested
I much prefer the serious and informative nature of these presentations. This is how technical presentation is done. Don't need the happy chatty salesman approach here keep it for sales and marketing. Phil always interrupted people right when they are giving important technical details. He is a lovely guy though and no offense intended towards him.
Sooooooooooo 😳 ..... thats where i have been going wrong with my bass.... nevermind them "mini dsp's"... all i need to do (Acording to Denon, who say they are market leaders in audio) is change the felt in the legs of my feat ?????? If i glued some more to the soles of my slippers, would that also increase bass to me physically, and by how much db per octave please ? Denon, please answer as you have all this audio experiance as market leaders (self quoted)..... Thanks......
Never again any f.... Denon products !!!! my A1H it broke after 2 weeks , memory for the Audyssey calibration stopped maintaining settings after disconnecting the power supply and now only service can help !!!!!
@@themafia3119 Yes , i done this and now '' magically '' after 3 weeks again maintain those important settings 🤣😒WTF was this ? why didn't it start sustaining immediately after the reset FW , only after such a long time ? This is most strange failure i ever saw on electronic gear !!!!!
Same Sharc DSP used in the rest of the range. They have said ART will not come to 3800, 4800 etc so that means it wont be coming to A1H either. Anyway Dirac are so slow it will take them maybe 2 years to get their software ready. The whole Bass Control fiasco not being ready until 2024 is a joke. Not Denons fault. Dirac obviously is the issue and always seems to struggle to get working code out to suppliers in a timely manner.
If these new avr's won't do dirac ART then I won't be touching them. I will stick with my X6700H. It has two top of the line sharc Griffin lite DSP chips and I am sure it had enough power to process dirac live, but hey, if they came out with a firmware upgrade for dirac live to add dirac live to the X series then who would buy the new AVR's. I have two independent sub channels. There is no way I can fit in 4 subs. Looks like Denon will be in last place when other manufacturers release Dirac Art with their next generation AVR's. I think it is a joke that these new recivers don't come with the lite version of Dirac live, and the consumer has to pay for the full licence price of £349 here in the UK. I am also disappointed that Denon chose the EES 9016 instead of the better 9026 or the new 9038 chips that you can find in a £100 Dacs.

I read that difference between avr a1h and avc a1h is fm tuner...is there any other difference between avc and avr?
Nope
Bonjour es ce que larcam avr 31 est mieux ou pas merci
Denon needs to make an AVR/AVC that sits in their lineup between the AVR/AVC-AH1 and the AVR/AVC-X6800H that has seven 2.1 HDMI inputs.

@@pumpituphomeboy Different strokes for different folks.
28:49 Please stop promoting audiophool nonsense like this! Magic bass felt that's even worse than Yamaha's magic 5th foot.
I agree. Oliver if you are going to make a statement like that in a technical training video you better have measurements and evidence to back it up!!
@@pumpituphomeboy seriously... I hope @audioholics sees this and rips Denon a new one.

Why do Europeans love sliver AVR's so much? Also where's Phil, I agree with everyone below.
As a receiver, has it DAB+ tuner?
No, i dont think so, dab+ will be replaced eventually, so it would be a mute feature
Silver looks cheap and tacky if it's not done correctly.
Will it support Dirac ART?
