Love the video, I have had nothing but issues with running Dirac live on the Denon a1h. It's to the point I just stuck with MULTEQ X. Until they've ironed out their issues in that update. Other than that, absolutely remarkable receiver. Love everything about it!!
@@homecinemaking397 having issues where when I do "select arrangements" it gives me nothing but imprecise measurements over and over again. I tried to change the microphone gain, lower it, I've tried to turn up the master volume. Same thing repeatedly, Dirac representative told me to downgrade to 3.4.4 to fix the issue. Then 3.4.4 had its own issues. I just spent so much time not getting anywhere with it. I've had a little better luck with it on a Mac computer versus me doing it on Windows, lot of people have stated that it's a Windows update That's causing dirac to malfunction. He was just a little too expensive for me to try to use something that wasn't working for me at the time.
@@colbywoodbery8648 i would love u get you sorted on this. Im going to make another video because another member also wanted a more step by step with pointers.
OK, hold on a minute. I paused the video. How can I get a hold of that test imager in the very beginning of the video? Is it on DVD? Where can I get it by purchase it the one with the effects?
brilliant as always.. where in jhb is your shop would love to pop in and expierence these.. i would also love a review on a entry level / med level review system of say 50k to 100k. currently building a system for myself
@@homecinemaking397 ah, I see! can you please show us the backlit in your next video ? curious to see the illumination type 😊 thanks much for your quick reply 🙏
@@homecinemaking397sorry I missed that part! thanks for pointing 🙏 I fully agree the remote should have looked like a flagship one as well. And I also do the same with my 8500H remote while watching a movie as it lights up with the slightest vibration 😀 but still love the fact that it is motion sensitive. By the way I loooooveee the remote of my Nvidia Shield TV Pro's remote with the same motion sensing backlit and works flawlessly and doesn't light up unnecessarily!
while you and I may differ on Subs. This is a super impressive RECIEVER AND ABOUT TIME FOR DENON. The price is the only downside. You can get mega close to this beast for half the price. That said If you have the $ I can think of no other AV receiver that offers as much as this does in features that said It is hard to pass up Emotiva Basx MR1 that is splitting hairs with this beast but doing so for about $4500 cheaper + a military discount. I would if I had the need for 15 channels and 4 sub outputs save my pennies and get this bad boy however I don't need that much in my av rooms any of them. The people that have medium size theaters in their home will and could definitely benefit here and 6k + will not be a issue for them. Over all very impressive if you have the $ to get it.
It makes no sense to offer a more sophisticated remote, because if they did, it wouldn't be everything for everyone. Most people buying an AVR of this quality will have a dedicated universal remote, so it would increase the price unnecessarily for those who have a universal handset. Same goes for including Dirac. Again - it would up the price unnecessarily for those who don't use it. Many will be using the optional Audyssey software because it does 99% of what Dirac offers for less money.
I love you videos, but you are so far ahead and loosing some of us enjoying your channel. You have a great future, but always explain things that appear simple to you but not with your audience. Top you tubers go all the way down to simple man on the street. Otherwise keep up the good work.
I kept the my 8500ha I didnt need the extra channels and my 4 subs are dialed but what a killer unit. Denon is top notch 100%
The best receiver to date 😊
Agreed💪

Hi, yes in JHB/Krugersdorp. Drop me a e-mail and we can arrange morne@homecinemaking.co.za

Denon A1 H Vs Audio control XR4? Which is the better unit for sheer audio quality in your opinion?
If we bring stereo into the mix then Audio Control. But apart from that A1H all the way.
This or an Anthem 1140 for a 7.1.4 system?
great unboxing! is the remote backlit? my 8500H's remote is excellent with a LCD display and it's backlit as well.
It is via side button like the new Marantz units. No lcd screen but made of metal👌 i do miss the screen.

Great Content there, but am I missing something here, isn't the review a little late, given the fact that this AVR was in market in Feb 2023
