Nice review, I love the way you edit! One question, did you test from how far away the Alovon's get a clean recording? I can't find it in the product details.
Thanks for the kind comment! Within 15 feet, almost flawless; beyond that, you’d get some possible connection issues but minor. Also, obstacles between the transmitter and the mic can cause slight pops in recording, but still a decent mic for the price.
Thanks to commenter @GooglelsAwesome , they pointed out that of the mics, one is slightly better than the other. One has a slight buzzing sound and the other does not. Activating noise cancellation reduces the buzzing by about 50% with little to no comprise to the voice quality but you can still hear it. I think it’s important to note before buying this mic.
Hello there, sorry you’re having this issue, someone left a comment saying that they had a buzzing sound issue with one of the mics this unit comes with. This was not the case for me personally but I’d suggest a few things: 1. Check to see if the issues persists with both mics, it’s like one won’t have it. 2. If you’re recording on a PC, try unplugging the power adapter from the wall and see if you’re still experiencing the buzzing sound. 3. Try the inbuilt noise cancelation (the indicator light should be orange on the mic) and see if this removes the sound. 4. Try recording with a phone instead of pc. If none of these work and the whining sound is intrusive enough to comprise the recording, I’m afraid you may have to return if for a new unit. Please let me know how it goes for you.
@@seriultgmxthank you for this I will try it with the new set I have requested a replacement hopefully doesn't have the same issue else hope this tips help thank you. And I'm using it for a camera not pc or phone but the tips I'll try, but one thing I noticed was the lights didn't change when I press or hold any other button except power.
Thanks for the comment, really much appreciated! The mic Still holding up pretty good! I’d def recommend this over most usb mics for people just starting out.
@@seriultgmxOkay so I just received the Alovon Wireless Microphones and one of the mics has a slight buzzing going on in the background no matter what I do. The other mic is perfectly fine though. Did this happen to you, what should I do?
@@LearnHax So I just tested both of my mics right now with noise cancellation on and both mics sound exactly the same with no buzz in the background. Just tried on my PC and something. (I predominately use iPhone for recoding) A few things I wanted to know to see if you can do something differently: 1. Are you using this on an iPhone, android device or PC or laptop? (Usbc to lightening or usbc to usbc) 2. If you’re on a laptop, try using it with the laptop unplugged from the wall just incase something with the outlets is ‘t introducing some weirdness in the sound. You did mention that you’re having the issue on only one of the mics. Sorry to hear that. Try what I suggested and if it doesn’t work, try to get it replaced through Amazon assuming that’s where you got yours, it may be a defective unit. I went through a similar experience with the Ulanzi J12 where one mic was clearly louder than the other and that was almost twice the price of the Alovon. But for the one that works, it the audio quality as expected for you?
@@seriultgmx Yes, the one that works is amazing! Thank you so much! I am recording on my Google Pixel 7. I will try connecting to some other devices and I will also test the frequency levels. If all else fails, I'll try to get a replacement. Thank you so much. You are the best!
Hi! I got the alovon.. Mine sound a bit robotic .. even when I activate Nc and reverb... Any help ?? Even editing I can't get rid of the little robotic .. PLS HELP I love this mic haha
Hi Ricky, sorry about that, I didn’t have that issue with mine. I’m assuming yours came as a pair, try recording with the other one and see if you still here the sound. It maybe a QC problem. If both mics sound have the robotic sound after testing, I’d advise you return them for replacement. Do let me know how it goes though.
Does the clip on the receiver fit on the cold shoe mount? I think it's a good budget alternative to cheap cameras and action cams especially bacause it allows for both USB and 3.5 jack connection.
Saludos.
Oh wow, sorry you had a bad experience. I’ve just seen now that it’s limited in availability. Only seen one from Amazon.ca for now. A lot of people said that the Ulanzi j12 was perfect but when I tested it as you’d see in this video, it wasn’t useable. So you probably got a defective unit. You can try the Ulanzi A100 and lemme know if that’s works better. Cheers.

you just put the wrong name and amazon site of the wrong product
Hi, I just checked the link and it does go to the correct product. Can you tell me what product it directs you to?
The alovon sucks. it is not even available in amazon anymore. the noise cancelation does not even work.
