The unwanted blurryness. The anxiety. Yep, very on point depiction.
Usually the second I sense something is about to happen I close my eyes shut and wait until I wake up, which is usually pretty quick
Same!
HandintheBoxInc
It’s usually when my reflection does something that I’m not doing when I realise I’m in a nightmare
@@Darthox200 I've had similar experiences in lucid dreams where my reflections nose caves in or my face distorts
HandintheBoxInc
My reflection usually has a massive grin on its face and then the normal place I’m in gets dark and noises come from nowhere
@@Darthox200 that's creepy
I swear in dreams it always feels like you’re running underwater, struggle to close or lock doors, can only scream in short bursts, and your punches feel weak
So true. It’s like the mind is ultra sensitive in dreams so if you even think about not wanting to think about something, your dream gives it to you full blast
True I had those experiences as a kid. Running away from something scary always felt hard to run like running in water.
Feeling of fighting but punches feel weak/it feels like slow motion.
And then I had dreams of dying like, in car then it starts flying over a bridge into the river, just before you hit the river it goes into slow motion then you wake up with a huge feeling of relief
Other dreams i can remember were like being at a supermarket at putting my hands in my pocket only too notice I had unlimited money, literally every time I put my hands in my pockets all the money kept coming out😂😂 bro I was so happy untill I woke up😅
And one where there was like this spiral hole in the ground that could take you to other country's, places. That one was very weird n it's crazy that I still remember all these from 10+ years ago
This was pretty decent for how unpopular it is, I feel like it deserves to be more popular.
Thanks! Help me make it popular by sharing with friends!
@@HandintheBoxInc Your videos are really good! I dunno if you still do these things, but it would be nice if you did an anxiety dream simulation video. I just had one last night! :(
@@face....Thanks, that’d be cool, what might that look like? I might be able to do something like that
Idk why but for some reason my comment was deleted.
@@face.... yeah that’s weird I’ll check it out and see what happened
The door unlocking by itself is scary. I have that dream sometimes. You should make one where you're in a car waiting in the parking lot and then the door handles disappear and it drives away with you trapped inside trying to escape. I used to have that dream as a kid.
I HAD THE SAME DREAM, I KNOW YOUR PAIN 😂😂😂😂
I had the same dream
i had the same exact dream wtf
I've had at least 3 dreams where I'm driving and lose control but somehow the car is still driving itself and the crash wakes me up :/
Me too
The random transitions to new locations that somehow feel organic, the weird perspective shifts like when the stairway is upside down, the noises that clue you into what you're supposed to be feeling that influence the dream's course... it's perfect man.
Thanks man. I take all that from my dreams and try as best I can to put it into these vids
haven’t had/remembered a nightmare or a normal dream for that matter in a very long time
Might be a good thing….
happens to me a lot i won't for like 3 months then i will dream for a week straight but only 1 in 30 dreams is a nightmare
This is extremely accurate ngl
Thanx
This is an absolute perfect representation of dreams/nightmares, you're one of the few people on this platform that have managed to capture what it's like! 10/10
Thanks! I try my best, look out for future videos like these
@@HandintheBoxInc Looking forward to it!
Do you know how hard it is to scare me?? Bravo!!!❤❤❤
Thank you
The teeth breaking part is SO DAMN ACCCURATE!!!!!
I’m genuinely impressed with the amount of effort that went into this, from the effects to the repetitive noises, all around very accurate to a nightmare.
Thank you
very well made and accurate
i like how a lot of things don't make sense like the sound of the door being sawed but then the lock turning as if someone lockpicked it
Thanks
A lot of my unpleasant dreams have a familiar pattern. Now I’m more aware of when something frightening is about to happen. I have the choice to wake up although sometimes I choose to stay. I guess a small part of me wants to see how it’ll play out.
Glad to see you made through the first jumpscare. I would have already woken up in a scream and head bumping against some furniture.
Okay As a person who has been having nightmares for 40 years, I think I can give you some advice. The monster's face is correct in the mouth area, but the eyes should be more like dots and no blood. Also, the deformed face doesn't appear suddenly, but you are talking to someone with the normal face and suddenly it starts to deform before you. Lastly, that always appears at the end of the nightmare, which is what wakes me up.
Well he said in a comment that this creature is a halloween decoration. It'll require a lot of effort and art skills to make a costume that perfectly matches the creatures in our nightmares. He couldn't find any creatures that perfectly match the nightmare creatures, but God I'll sure consider it a nightmare if this creature ever appears in my dreams. But thanks for the info, as someone who rarely experiences nightmares based on supernatural creature attacks, it's nice to know how these creatures look like.
Dude, anytime I realize I am in a dream, that is when normal faces always seem to turn distorted. As if I'm the anomaly for realizing everything around me isn't real.
thing is with dreams is theres theoretically no rules and everyone has different ones so some people might see the monsters face like this whilst others might see a normal face shift into a disfigured one
Why do I like how terrified this makes me
Also damn 2:32 kinda reminds me of a really good trip
The stuttering speech feels too relatable and real.
3:28 crazy how accurate this is, the super calm and dreamy setting and noises and then the sudden dark and terrifying turn... this video is shocking me, crazy how you can make this good of a replication
The screaming face though... how do you always find the most accurate representations? Like, I swear I've had a night terror of THAT face. Makes the hair on the back of my neck stand straight up.
Lucky find I guess, I grabbed my nearest random old halloween decoration
@@HandintheBoxInc Like literally it's the only Halloween decoration I've seen that actually makes me scared
OMG I just love how frightening yet accurate this is!!!
Thanks!
@@HandintheBoxInc your so welcome :)
Dude... When your teeth fell out... I have been there. I have had probably 3 very VERY vivid dreams of my teeth just starting to fall apart and fall out and i could feel them in my mouth as i spit them out all bloody. It was so fucking real, when i saw this it gave me chills......
That's weird
Well I once broke my teeth off in a dream by biting it.
@@vedantsridhar8378 in the dreams I've like ripped my teeth out with my tongue and it feels so fucked that I worry one night I'll actually do it by accident
@@rekzuhSame i even choked on my own teeth when it fell out
Usually when I know I’m having a nightmare or start to realize that my legs won’t move I’d end it by either snapping my neck or swinging my head side to side repeatedly
Same here
metal
imagine your just having a really bad day or experiencing something traumatic
“oh it must be a nightmare!” *cronch*
childyeeter seems like something I’d do😂
If you realize you're in a Nightmare, you should be able to change it with enough practise and focus.
My teeth almost always fall out in my nightmares. And right when the creepy villain’s about to kill me I wake up. And in one dream I had many years ago, my clothes (and anything I would try to preserve my modesty with) became transparent.
i wonder are your teeth in good health or is it just a random subconscious fear or just a random nightmare thing that has no meaning at all
@ They’re in very good health, so probably the latter
The monster just wanted to help him with his teeth
Yeah exactly
Yea that also reminds me of paranoid shizophrenia.
Eh kinda, the “monster” is kinda accurate but atleast for when I had an episode it was shadow people. The teeth most definitely is nothing you’d experience in an episode. But the voices, noises, running, and the absolute panic, fear, and dread is very realistic. The thing that is the most realistic to me is the locking the door, you don’t want them getting in but you’ll see them outside the door and outside windows.
@@eckhurt Nightmare fuel for sure
@@eckhurt I also had voices similar to this but its not like you would hear them clearly, very muffled, since i suffer from BPD corelated with depression it can happen, i never had any visual ones however so i cannot really tell, paranoia and auditory hallucinations are accurate on this one, although i know this is a nightmare simulation, the auditory hallucinations are still accurate if you having a episode, i mean then it becomes a real life nightmare.
K2 yeah, I’m glad I got medicated very early.
@@eckhurt Yea man but gotta be careful with these pills, i believe they can harm you in the long term, like i heard many bad experiences with anti depressants so you know just got to watch out.
The light in the grass..I had that same dream but, it was a wonderful heavenly dream. It was right after I quit kratom
besides the overused camera effects, this is insanely accurate.
Since these videos seem to be gaining attention, I've decided to do my first attempt at a UA-cam interactive video, but with Lucid Dreams and more. I've never seen this done before and I think it will be a fun challenge, virtual dreams you can interact with and control....
OOOH that sounds so cool! How would you do it?

@@HandintheBoxInc ooooh, cool!
0:23 The freezing of vision is definitely realistic
I'm just watching this because I haven't had a nightmare in quite some time
When you wake up from the nightmare but you're still asleep.
XD
This is so spot on! Here have a like
Thanks
This is my dreams but like mine feel so real that I can wake up actually hearing the noises and feel of like a wasp on my elbow or papers falling, all my nightmares are usually based on trauma I have experienced
This can be compared an intense Deliriant trip
0:25 here we see the demon appear, its like the onset of a DPH trip, which is very fast
0:36 the double vision can be disorienting, giving the effect of not being able to walk
0:43 a warped environment is very common on DPH, which is pretty much where the fully formed hallucinations occur
0:59 this is an example of a fully formed hallucination. The tooth on the bed seems real and the person seeing it doesn’t question whether or not it’s real because people on DPH commonly forget they’re taken the drug and people don’t know that nightmares are fake until they wake up
1:39 the demon returns when the person least expected it because he wasn’t thinking about it constantly. It’s his subconscious mind that reminds him the demon is still there
1:51 here, he experiences flashes of the demon’s face because he knows that is what he’s running from. Random sounds can be heard in his head which is common with DPH
2:13 this is a deliriant hallucination. He all of a sudden enters a field by a forest. This is most likely a memory he has. Again, he does not question why he is in a field because he believes he is really there. When he snaps out of this state, most people question where they really are
4:31 he holds the gun because the noises are so convincing that he believes the demon is outside his door. He looks out the window to see nothing there. At this point, it’s hard to distinguish between reality and fantasy
4:44 time can go by fast on DPH. Chrono-sense is subconscious and the clock is creating this hallucination
5:12 this is a false awakening. He’s only expecting a deeper part of the trip
Awesome break down
This is a damn good video
shouldnt be watching this rn😭i needa sleep
Do people really have such trippy effects in their vision during dreams? Like the cromatic abberation, or the symmetry and all of those other camera effects? I don't think I normally have anything like that unless I'm actually dreaming about tripping or something.
nightmares r fun
Dude he fall back asleep 😭
😂😂
wow crazy stuff,very nice....
Thank you
5:12 this is a false awakening. He’s only expecting a deeper part of the trip
Fuck me dead this shit is scary 😂 the fuck am I doing watching this shit at night 😂😂
My nightmares are always like that
I haven't gotten any nightmares for the past year, but I sure do hope to get one because it's gonna make my day once I get up. It's like I created my own horror movie while sleeping
This is nothing compared to my nightmares . They would be rated nc 17 and banned on UA-cam for gore, terror , disturbing violence.
well simulating a nightmare as scary as your actual nightmares would take him forever to simulate
So fucking realistic! Amazing job!
YOOO! I've told people if you want to get out of a nightmare just jump up and land straight on your neck to break it. I think it's because we assume broken neck equals ☠️ so our brain does not yet know how to handle our actual death, thus waking us up. I do it every time without fail except for one time I went to jump on my head directly and the ground directly underneath me turned to an ocean of blood, so I swam out and did it again on solid ground. And usually I wake up out of the nightmare with a very wierd chill sensation throughout the hairs on my head and the muscles in my neck down to my mid spine area.
nah. nah. Nah fucking nah. Great sim my guy keep it up
So creepy. Gave me the Willie's
That creature you always put in your videos, is it something you keep seeing in your actual nightmares and sleep paralysis hallucinations? Does it look exactly like how you designed it and make that exact sound in your dreams?
No it's a Halloween decoration. Most of these are inspired by my dreams but in reality, I don't have the resources to pull off recreating some of my dreams and my other dreams are too boring or out of context
@@HandintheBoxInc Fair enough. Anyway If I were to make a nightmare simulation video on UA-cam based on my nightmares, I would probably use clips of that scene from the 3rd Harry Potter movie with Remus Lupin in Werewolf form. Mostly because the creature from my nightmares looks EXACTLY (and I mean exactly, no differences whatsoever) like how he was designed in that movie. Kinda weird
@@christianciv1998 sounds like what u saw in the movie slipped in ur dreams
@@HandintheBoxInc possibly
I love how he was prepared on the other side of the door with a weapon😁💯 We have the 2nd amendment for a reason
in nightmares they allways jam
I feel this has way too many jumpscares.
Gooood
But jumpscares are what makes horror movies scary. I love how this releases as much adrenaline as roller coaster
My nightmares have this exact jumpscare loop
My nightmares are literally just getting bad marks at school
So while you're like "Oh god! I got an F minus! God, I am so going to fail!" I'm out here like *i can see it staring from the foot of my bed and it wants to hurt me* ? Damn bruh life really is unfair

@@ryansmith3420 True that, like giant virus cells
@@HandintheBoxInc or general societal collapse
@@ryansmith3420 That'd be intense XD
I actually jumped 😭
Hey that was so fantastic and scary, that's how my nightmares look like, at least from what I remember. Hey, just a question? Which editing software did you use for this? How were you able to create that blurriness, monsters, those sound effects, the door knob and weird clock behavior? Which software?
Final Cut Pro X for all of it, I used masks to do all the visual effects along with a few built-in effects in Final Cut Pro X
@@HandintheBoxInc Hi this is so fun watching. I watch this at midnight in a dark room with headphones on, and my, the thrills I get are amazing! Also, how did you simulate the fallen teeth? False teeth or fallen milk teeth or pure simulation?

i don't dream much and have nightmares even less but when i do it's a bittersweet unpleasant pleasant surprise i wake up feeling relived but also scared of how bad it made me feel but ultimately im entertained and might get some key info on my own subconscious insecurities that i need to adress
what's that ambient like song that starts around 4:07 ?
Royalty free music by: Chris Zabriskie called "Cylinder Four"
if this is nightmare then what the fuck am I getting in my dreams... This looks like a joke as compared to my dreams that I get on a regular basis
I'm trying to watch this at 2AM, hoping to fuel my nightmares. This is absolutely asinine. This is not scary at all, this is not real, this is not what we see. This is an awful representation of what we all see. I hoped to see what I fear. Instead I laugh. I hope one day someone will capture what we actually see.
Interesting 🤔
bro i really got a jumpscare
