I bought this for £7.99 in a sale recently. Sure, the graphics aren't the greatest, but the sheer variety of disciplines and the fact that there's always something new every week makes this a game well worth buying and playing. It's an 8/10 from me, and I can see myself playing it for a long, long time. Oh yeah, great videos man - I subscribed a while back.
This video successfully sold me on the game. It looks like everything I want and with a Steam racing sale going on right now I can get it for a whopping 80% off. Even the season pass is slashed by that amount right now so if it's half as good as you claim this is an absolute steal. Cheers!
Ahh I shoulda waited! I spent like 60ish a couple of months ago. I just started playing a couple days ago though and I love it! Definitely take advantage and buy this game if you have a decent PC setup!
You dont need the season pass ubisoft have move one step ahead and now require players who want to get every new update item to buy a currency with real money like rockstar does with shark cards if this is something that bothers you you can play without paying
I feel like most reviews I came across before getting the game really didn't cover the important points, like the diversity between different events to keep the game fun for a long time. I definitely think the game could be better (course editor, better parts system, etc.) but it's truly an incredible open world game that you can play for hundreds of hours before getting tired of and explore endlessly. @@josephcoviello5721 sorry for the late reply but in the pro vehicle tuning there are assists one of the is ESP I suggest turning that off bc that's what sometimes makes your car unresponsive to the inputs. And also the controller setting need to be tweaked a little bit I suggest looking through every setting and looking up a video. But that's basically it my controls feel kinda like fh4 now and I'm incredibly satisfied with it
this might be personal preference but this game’s cities look horrible. they look like they’re made of plastic and it really kills my vibe playing this game, even the crew 1 looked better.

I played all Forza Horizons and this is hands down way better. The graphics look better in Forza but they're not much of use if you're getting bored, which will never happen here.
To any new people thinking of buying it beware some vehicles will be locked off to you forever they were added in events that required platinum to unlock in things called summit events a weekly challenge this really annoys me as I want some of these vehicles and I'm now forever locked out of them with no way of obtaining them now Despite its flaws I do like driving around the map is huge it takes a while to drive down the same road and notice I usually like to put on music or podcasts and cruise like its coming from the radio I would like to see more old cars added to the game too
They do come back you just have to wait for it to come back during one of the months which is no where near now with the amount of stuff that slowly getting into the game but hey I was in your shoes back then struggling to get summit vehicles but eventually I got extremely good at the game and every summit I’ve placed platinum with no sweat it just takes time to actually get good at the game and I’ve had it since December 2018 but the summits for sure definitely require absolute skill.
Got this in sale last week really enjoying it actually more than horizon 5 literally farmed 5 mill in takedown enough to buy a vehicle in each class it’s a massive game plenty to do next gen upgrade is coming in July

Cheers man! Sorry for the late reply. Doesn't take long to mod cars like an M5 to look how you want in Forza Horizon. Also very quick progression to afford such cars and the mods. Forza 5 for sure! Graphics are incredible, map is better and the playerbase is very good. Can't go wrong though!

I had this game on my Xbox one and the disc is still behind my monitor but I don’t have my Xbox at my house all I got is my pc and ps5 which I wish I could play Xbox games on PlayStation and vise versa but this is making me consider playing the game again especially because it made me remember times I loved this game and other times that weren’t so fun but overall I will definitely be buying this game again
This game really is super sweet! I'm not a big gamer but I love this thing you got your flight simulator your boat simulator your car simulator your motorcycle simulator LOL just showed up being able to run around like you can in GTA v if they could match these two games together I think it would be the perfect ultimate game
I'm relatively new to the PS4, having only bought one a year ago and I got this on PS Now the same time as I got all the NFS games on EA Play and I'm still playing this whereas I got pretty bored of the NFS games once I had finished the main stories. The fact that they release new content regularly means it never gets stale and there's always something to do or look forward to, plus you don't have to fork out $120 million dollars for a Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupe because you get one free in the game! Btw, this will be available on the new PS Plus Extra and Premium subscription services in June alongside The Crew.
I’m bored so I’m looking at this video with 100% completion and over 2000 level and hundreds of vehicles… I know some people don’t like the handling but you can’t make everyone happy… you can find people who don’t like the handling for every racing game out there. I personally in my opinion love the handling and prefer it over need for speed and forza. Although I get why developers like to make driving “realistic” I think that everyone sometimes likes to just have fun and race with more of a Arcady feel which feels like racing games are steering away from more and more which is a shame. At the end of the day it’s a game and we’re all there to have fun and although fun is subjective I can see why a lot of people still love playing the crew till this date. And freaking MAJOR hates off to Ubisoft for continuing to show the UNMATCHED support and commitment to the franchise, It really says a lot. Been playing the franchise since the first one and I can’t wait to see the crew 3. The next game as such a special opportunity to capitalize on and become something absolutely phenomenal. It would be a better game if the season pass actually meant something especially since it does nothing helpful since seasonal motorpass updates became a thing.
The game has one draw back. I would love to have police chasing you as you race it makes it more challenging. When they make crew 3 i would love to see this.
Personally, I would avoid it! It will hurt your early game progression which is one of the best bits! If you want a headstart though, it will give you that.
Very good review. Though to be completely honest early game feels very fast. I was able to get like 1 mil first day by grinding events with good money and bought a saleen s7 tt, next day I was back up to about 8ook again and got a 918 spyder. I recommend the harley davidson on hard it is good money, uber dam and other stuff also are good for money. Ima save up for a Carrera gt or jesko now. Just grind for a few hours and your dream car is yours.

60fps on next gen consoles is a good upgrade! And visually yes there are some improvements but they are not huge! The Crew Motorfest is coming out in September with massively overhauled graphics. It looks amazing!
Just my opinion but if you have 1 or many friend the game will be really awesome with the new systeme of Story who give you a destination for a big roadtrip with you, your friend and your dream car 🙂
I am surprised by the fact that you aren't even mentioning the first game when doing comparisons, as it is worth mentioning that the original is a much better single-player game overall. The sequel has a lot of customization and variety, but for story and immersion, the first one remains the better choice. Plus the first game has better graphics by far, and the world in the sequel is pretty much a carbon copy of the same map in the first one, and it still didn't suffer nearly as much in the texture department so the issue doesn't stem from any amount of "assets" being loaded in; it was actually a bit of an outrage from some fans when they saw the downgrade of graphics in The Crew 2.
Before the handling changes I was a big fan of this game. But making the handling way more arcady(and worse Imo), it just completely killed the game for me. Tried several times coming back to it, but it's impossible. Also, when they swapped to motorpass, and removed the dailies where you fairly easy could earn Credits, also put some nails in the coffin. Though the handling is just really bad, and not to my liking.
@@wb3213 literally made the game unplayable to me. All you do when driving, is yanking your car when steering. But hey, at least FH5 is out there. And except some(still) mega ASS online issues, the game is top notch Imo.

As someone who played all FH games, this game smokes that series out of the water. I could go into more detail why, but this is way better in literally every way except for graphics.
Yes, it's still worth playing. Especially if you can find some other people to play with! The game had many regular content updates after this video was made too. It is quite an only game though, so if you're looking for graphics, then go for the newer one. (The crew motorfest) Thanks for the sub :)
Worth it. I don’t really play car games but this is a very good game. I guess the graphics are off compare to other car games. I don’t care for that. That’s what I just heard.
I hate this game. This review makes it look amazing but the menus and UI is a nightmare to navigate, I had an incredibly difficult time figuring out just how to get into a race. I did a couple of boat races and all I wanted to do was drive a car. I don't have the time and energy it takes to get used to the way this game operates, and what little driving I was able to do in a couple of car races that you start out doing, well, it felt awful anyway. Hard pass on Crew 2, luckily I got to play a free trial so all I wasted was an hour of my time.
Had it for two years never quite play it though. It isn’t really refined and they screwed up the scale particularly trees and Laguna Sega. And unsurprisingly I spent more hours on GT SPORTS.
The game was on sale on PS4 just now at 11.99 USD for the “Special Edition” so I said why not. Not very familiar with racing games. Can’t get Forza for the PS4 so I’ll just settle with this. Thanks for the sell, matey.
My serious suggestion to anyone who likes Crew 2, is definitely get the collection for the Crew 1. It has a huge map, with a bigger focus on cars and asphalt. They took a lot of things out, including shrinking the map, mainly because they added planes and Boats. But to me, the Crew has always been about the Cars. And yeah, Crew 2 has some pretty nice cars and for sure a larger collection. But there are just some features that the first game did better. Not to mention the Free roam racing and custom point races were both taken away, for whatever reason.
I don't understand how the devs made something so fun and endless-seeming with tons of opportunities to improve it and chose to add GOD DAMN DELIVERY MISSIONS FOR THE LAST 6 MONTHS OF UPDATES ARE YOU JOKING UBISOFT?
This game desperately needs a car selling option, I only have 160 cars, I have bought about 40% of those just for summits and it's a pain in the ass sometimes to find the car I'm looking for.
It will get a 60fps update for next gen later this year. There is possibility for other graphical upgrades too but we haven't heard much other than 60fps (which is confirmed)
For comparison, FH4 map is about 70 square kilometers, for Crew 2 I saw estimates ranging from 6000 to 10000 square kilometers (probably depending on whether they considered the sea areas etc).

Plus the first game has better graphics by far, and the world in the sequel is pretty much a carbon copy of the same map in the first one, and it still didn't suffer nearly as much in the texture department so the issue doesn't stem from any amount of "assets" being loaded in; it was actually a bit of an outrage from some fans when they saw the downgrade of graphics in The Crew 2.
Ive had this game since launch and im still having fun in it.

Yeah it's worth it rally. f1 .touring cars. Planes and boat race's there is a lot to drive and the map is massive

Before the handling changes I was a big fan of this game. But making the handling way more arcady(and worse Imo), it just completely killed the game for me. Tried several times coming back to it, but it's impossible. Also, when they swapped to motorpass, and removed the dailies where you fairly easy could earn Credits, also put some nails in the coffin. Though the handling is just really bad, and not to my liking.
I'm not feeling the handling either, I thought I was the only one that felt this
@@wb3213 literally made the game unplayable to me. All you do when driving, is yanking your car when steering.
But hey, at least FH5 is out there. And except some(still) mega ASS online issues, the game is top notch Imo.

For us Stadia Players (yes, all 6 of us...) this is the "poor man´s Forza Horizon". Love the game, and yes still good in 2022.
As someone who played all FH games, this game smokes that series out of the water. I could go into more detail why, but this is way better in literally every way except for graphics.

Yes, it's still worth playing. Especially if you can find some other people to play with! The game had many regular content updates after this video was made too. It is quite an only game though, so if you're looking for graphics, then go for the newer one. (The crew motorfest)

Worth it. I don’t really play car games but this is a very good game. I guess the graphics are off compare to other car games. I don’t care for that. That’s what I just heard.
I hate this game. This review makes it look amazing but the menus and UI is a nightmare to navigate, I had an incredibly difficult time figuring out just how to get into a race. I did a couple of boat races and all I wanted to do was drive a car. I don't have the time and energy it takes to get used to the way this game operates, and what little driving I was able to do in a couple of car races that you start out doing, well, it felt awful anyway. Hard pass on Crew 2, luckily I got to play a free trial so all I wasted was an hour of my time.
Its the perfect game for me, i like to take roadtrips.

Had it for two years never quite play it though. It isn’t really refined and they screwed up the scale particularly trees and Laguna Sega. And unsurprisingly I spent more hours on GT SPORTS.
The game was on sale on PS4 just now at 11.99 USD for the “Special Edition” so I said why not. Not very familiar with racing games. Can’t get Forza for the PS4 so I’ll just settle with this. Thanks for the sell, matey.

My serious suggestion to anyone who likes Crew 2, is definitely get the collection for the Crew 1. It has a huge map, with a bigger focus on cars and asphalt. They took a lot of things out, including shrinking the map, mainly because they added planes and Boats. But to me, the Crew has always been about the Cars. And yeah, Crew 2 has some pretty nice cars and for sure a larger collection. But there are just some features that the first game did better. Not to mention the Free roam racing and custom point races were both taken away, for whatever reason.
So? is this worth it if im gonna ask this as a Christmas present?

This game desperately needs a car selling option, I only have 160 cars, I have bought about 40% of those just for summits and it's a pain in the ass sometimes to find the car I'm looking for.

It will get a 60fps update for next gen later this year. There is possibility for other graphical upgrades too but we haven't heard much other than 60fps (which is confirmed)

Depends where you drive from and to but 30 mins is driving fast in a hypercar!
For comparison, FH4 map is about 70 square kilometers, for Crew 2 I saw estimates ranging from 6000 to 10000 square kilometers (probably depending on whether they considered the sea areas etc).
At some point there was supposed to be a helicopter update
