Looks nice! Got a similar truck with a 4” lift though on 20x12’s, was looking to paint match my mirrors and I think you for sure made my decision for me
Thanks for the tutorial my dude. 904 baby! 🤣 maybe I’ll cya round the city
How much over spray did you get on the Nissan 240? 😂
Enough for a clay bar wash 😭🤣
I was thinking the same thing
Did it felt smooth like the original paint?
Man I hope you didn’t get any overspray on that Z-car. Besides that great job 👏🏾 young man.
I might of gotten some on the z but I got a great detailer that will make it look like it never happened.
When u did the last coat of primer did u sand it with the 180 again and then painted it?!?
How are they honestly holding up? With pressure washing and what not
With the clear coat I used, that’s the only thing that peeled off in some spots but the white paint is solid. Dirt and mud doesn’t get stuck in it. It all washes off pretty good.
Hey man im genuinely curious how well has it held up? I want to do this to my truck but be REAL how good is it and do you recommend it?
The clear coat that was used did end up chipping off but the paint held up.
@@_No_Hilfigeruse spray max 2k clear next time. Best clear coat on the market. ❤❤❤❤
Do you recommend the sandion on new mirros?
yes on anything you paint I would sand down just to be sure it would look good in the end. if its brand new you probably don't need to do much sanding, just a light coat.
Quick question, after priming did you sand again before using the duplicolor??
Yes gotta sand it
@@_No_Hilfiger sounds good man I appreciate the response
What color white is that? Like a bright white?
Yes. Bright white for Chrysler oem
why didn't you use an adhesion promoter on the plastic before to painted the primer? That paint will chip off much easier without the adhesion promoter. Good luck with that..
The paint actually kept its strength. But the clear coat didn’t. Gotta figure something out about that. I go through mud and stuff and after washing it the clear would chip.
Did you sand it again after you put the primer?
Yes I did
@@_No_Hilfigerwhat grit
Read the chemicals in the can you are spraying. That perfect match color has lacquer in it. Lacquer doesn’t mix that that 2k clear. It might look nice now but won’t last long.
I didn’t know that but it lasted about a good year
Anyone know if I can fit 35 with a 3 inch lift ? I got same truck
I haven’t tested it out but you should be able to
Did you use adhesion promoter?
No we’re you watching the video 😂
@@chuck9380 Yeah I watched it, thought maybe you used the promoter but didn’t show it
did u sand down the filler primer
I did, I think lmao
What if you have chrome mirrors ?
It will be the same process as when i painted my chrome bumper. just really try to remove the chrome with a sander.
How’s the paint durability?
Durability is great, the more costs the better. Just a pain to wash
Damn I hope thats your car in the background catching all that over spray 😅
It is, but I’m gonna get it painted again anyways .
How’d you get it to come out so glossy, I’ve painted them about 4 times and they always come out rough
Get a can of 2k clear gloss from Walmart it’s like $20 a can I think
Sand after prime and again after last clear coat. 2k clear coat
What size lift ,
6 in
It looks good man, what size tire's!?
In this video I have 35x13.50r24
I bet daddy was pisssed when he seen all the over spray on the 280z. Chalk it up as a lesson learned for next time.
@@cajundad5042 nothing a clay bar kit can’t fix lol, but yeah definitely prep the area next time
I recommend not using 180 grit sand paper
That red car is going to have paint on it.
I’m up for the challenge to remove it all lmao
@@_No_Hilfiger lolol
Your dad’s going to kill you for getting overspray on that classic!
My thought exactly
It’ll buff out right ?!
Now flip the mirrors up to tow and realise you didnt spray the entire mirror arm only whenever its flipped in
Those aren’t tow mirrors
Lol all the paint fumes and overspray are going directly on his door panel and that red car lol.. dude come on.. cover the car and move the damn door panel.
It’ll buff out lol
Lmao spray painting mirrors.... good luck power washing your truck at a car wash.
Right that shit coming right off 😂
Must be nice to live at home with mommy
mad bro
So what if he does
