Alot of the parts I have here in my parts bin and some donated so really I'm only out of $120 for roller chassis, $24 DumboRC Radio $78 for Portal axles, $8 for shocks, and $35 for T-Lock servo kit so about $265 for purchased goods. Take away the Portals, shocks, and T-Lock kit it would only be a $144 build. It's an investment for me because usually I sell the old RCs that just collects dust. This maybe one of them unless my son or niece put claims on it. My RC storage is overran right now 🤣. Depending on what all you decide to do with the build it can cost you less or just as much as a RTR.
It's not the best motor for sure but it's been working for me. I paired the motor with the Redcat Gen7 esc and they work fine together. There are a few of the Chinese motors that I like, but one in particular is the CS Power motor. Link below for rhis motor. Just found this amazing item on AliExpress. I most definitely agree with you on that but it's not that type of crawler. I made it as a lifted trail truck for the most part. No serious crawling goes on with this crawler although it does very well now with the added brass weight upgrades. Thanks for watching!
@@PJsElectricRCAdventuresHi, thanks for review.. Will brass weight for Trx4 fit nicely on this clone Trx4? I have bought same but with lockable portals.. so.. my weights are on the way.. 🤦♂️ cheers from europe
Awesome RC and great upgrades
Nice 👍🏾
Is there any grease in the gearboxes?
There was a small amount present.
PJ how much do you have invested into this truck? I'm thinking about starting a build soon and I need some input on building vs buying a trx4.

Is this motor weak as hell, or just mine? I need torque and control. What Chinese motor would you recommend? I have the esc hobbywing 1080 installed

@@PJsElectricRCAdventures oh, thanks man, I'll try this motor
gotta get to tune the shocks to lower. or choose short shocks. this looks not good on climbing and sidehill. very easy to roll and tip off

Hi! is it worth it to buy this chassis?
It is a pretty good chassis especially if you can get it for under $200.
