I recently got an Absima Bronx, it's 8th scale, 4S capable, more detailed, more capable & has a full function light kit & it cost £499 compared to the Traxxas Bronco at £620..... I'm going to say it's my favourite rig at the moment...I have some custom vinyl coming taking on the Beluga name/theme. Mine has a different motor and is equal to the TRX4 2 speed in terms of speed and power. Put a TRX4 front locker in, fits fine! Those indicators though....hate them. and truth !! You are absolutely sure they are the same!!! and even in terms of performance, they are beautiful and at a very affordable price. If you have any plastic parts, just exchange them for an aluminum one.
The wheelbase is 324mm on a TRX4 and 310mm on the Wilderness. I’m thinking Springs/Shocks, Wheels/Tires should fit, as well as any scale accessories like trailers lights ladders Jerry cans etc. but the big question is geometry-related upgrades like upper and lower control arms. 14mm is a decent amount of difference where 1-2mm count in geometry. MAYBE if the UCA/LCA are the adjustable screw in rod end types that control pinion angle. Aftermarket Driveshafts from a TRX4 should be ok. Big question mark or anything steering other than the servo. (Like drag link, pittman arm, or tie rod). Also not sure how 1:1 the knuckles are.
I agree 100% about the turn signals. I immediately disconnect them. Nothing worse than trying to hit good line and your damn blinkers are going crazy 🤪

Anyone with motor plate wobbly - you can carefully drill and put a set screw either side of the motor plate in the plastic mount, snug them up when the motor is in place and it doesnt wobble. Also, i havent tried but reportedly replacing the skid plate and motor mount with trx parts 8290 and 8238 also works.

Also looking at it. It’s $275 US and free shipping in the states. But if parts support isn’t available then spending another $125 on a axial bronco $399 or a builders kit for $370 it’s a hard battle. Spend a lil more and if you break something your parts are easier to get so your back on the trail. Or spend the same as a trx4 and get 2. One for a buddy. No one likes crawling alone. Lol
Unfortunately they're a single 4 pole plug for each corner, I'd imagine you can isolate which of the 3 lives is the indicator though...seems they share a negative

Isn't the traxxas og bronco wheelbase longer at 324mm; this copy is at sport 312mm. Hoping to see a video where this copy's wheelbase could be extended to 324, if it is possible in the first place.
No, unless you change the wheelbase and strut towers...can't fit normal posts as the clipless body mount is part of the fenders the same as the Traxxas clipless system 👍🏽
Know what? I agree with ya. Not a bad looking truck at all. Change the tires, Which you would do anyway. Better esc? Probably. . and BAM!! You Got er' ... Over here in Canada its about half the price.. Oh and Defintely DOWN with the steering wheel activated signal light. lmao Arghhhh
It's like the TRX4 sport with the Bronco body. The latch cage in the body is identical to my TRX4 Bronco. Traxxas is going to make Googoo Gaga baby noises and then cry foul play. lol Greta Thundergnome: How Dare You! 😂😂
Plugs in the axles are likely due to the fact they straight copied T word. Much easier to plug them than to redesign their own axles… as if any of this was rediesigned😅 - even the tires are knockoffs of T word. Interesting look at it though!
I don't know how I feel about straight up knockoffs. On one hand, the price of some of the real deal trucks can price them out of some people's range. On the other, spending the money on a fake with no real support for it. I think I'd feel better if Traxxas parts fit this. I'd spend another 50 and get a bare bones truck like a Deadbolt. It has a lot more plastic on it, but has a ton of after market support. My Deadbolt has been pretty decent for being stock.
That servo was pretty impressive if the website figures of 3kg are correct but I’m disappointed that you didn’t do a speed run to see if the websites 18pkh is correct!

I hate August , mid winter. Cold wet and storms. Lost my fence last year.
I just bought one but even tho it has metal gears the metal is poor quality lot of bubbles the metal snapped on a tiny load but its a good car i would recommend it
I came back to look at the FTX Fury Outback 2.0 review again and I saw this - for the price which would be more fun for someone new to crawling?
It’s an Everglades Bronco! Sick! Just needs the sticker on the side! I might get one just because of that.
Thanks for doing a review on this truck an I sent you the photo of it to see if you do a review an you did it has really helped so I think I will be getting one now thanks
Very nice for a knock off. Do you know if the body will fit a Traxxas TRX4 2021 Bronco?
Just got mine. Went for the red one. So far so good.
If the aftermarket parts from the TRX4 fit it then this could be a great option.
Isn't the traxxas og bronco wheelbase longer at 324mm; this copy is at sport 312mm. Hoping to see a video where this copy's wheelbase could be extended to 324, if it is possible in the first place.
Any ideas on whether the trx4 defender body would work with this?
No, unless you change the wheelbase and strut towers...can't fit normal posts as the clipless body mount is part of the fenders the same as the Traxxas clipless system 👍🏽
I’ll buy one of this to my son … great value for money
How waterproof is it
It looks nice , and seemed to perform not bad . Great video as normal thank you .
Ordering one tonight after 2nd time I’ve watched the review from yourself , most other reviews are Indonesian etc👌
Know what? I agree with ya. Not a bad looking truck at all. Change the tires, Which you would do anyway. Better esc? Probably. . and BAM!! You Got er' ... Over here in Canada its about half the price.. Oh and Defintely DOWN with the steering wheel activated signal light. lmao Arghhhh
can i put in a 3s battery right away? or needs some adjustments?
If parts availability is there , then this is a nice choice!
It's like the TRX4 sport with the Bronco body. The latch cage in the body is identical to my TRX4 Bronco. Traxxas is going to make Googoo Gaga baby noises and then cry foul play. lol
Greta Thundergnome: How Dare You! 😂😂
haha... yeah, I can see their rage from here
Plugs in the axles are likely due to the fact they straight copied T word. Much easier to plug them than to redesign their own axles… as if any of this was rediesigned😅 - even the tires are knockoffs of T word. Interesting look at it though!
If you listen in between battery changes, you can actually hear Traxxas drawing up the lawsuit papers😂😂🤙…
The lawyers are free reign to pursue lawsuits. Lawyers decide. They made a deal.
That looked pretty decent! I really like the Bronco-body 👌🏻
I’d be interested in knowing if Traxxas parts are compatible, because I have no clue where to buy spare parts for a knock off
Need a back to back Phil!
Using the "shrub" is how we do it in the real world.
Are the diffs fully locked?
I wonder if it's compatible with Traxxas parts
you should try fitting on trx 4 upgrades and seeing if they fit or make it perform better.
mn its a good crawler for its price ? and is it waterproof?
Have you done a trx4 bronco 2021? Maybe a proper compare. 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
