Most people have forgotten that the first two Blade movies saved Marvel from completely going bankrupt and throwing in the towel on movies and TV... that created the MCU.
I've been saying Disney should give Del Toro all the money he needs and write and direct the MCU Blade, and if he writes one that's not in the MCU then so be it we need Blade to be in the MCU.
Nyssa allowed Novak to bite her because she had lost faith in all that she was, due to her father's actions and disregard for her and her brother, and wanted a peaceful death via sunlight.
Originally subtitled as "Bloodhunt". The first great sequel of Marvel's golden age on film (1998-2007) and his return to action was glorious, less than 2 years after X-Men (2000) and over a month before Spider-Man (2002). The comic-book sensibility makes an extreme approach out of the horror, suspense and action. Gullermo Del Toro truly came through in a clutch and i loved his film, Mimic (1997). Wesley Snipes with Jeff Ward did the fight choreography like the first film while Donnie Yen handled the wire choreography. Thomas Kretschmann who plays Overlord Eli Damaskinos goes on to play HYDRA Leader, Baron Strucker in the MCU. Tony Curran who plays Priest of The Bloodpack, went on to play Finn Cooley of the Kitchen Irish on Daredevil (S2). Matt Schulze who plays Chupa of The Bloodpack, made his film debut in Blade (1998) as an character named Crease. The soundtrack was fire with hip hop artist collaborations with dance music artist. The video game on PS2 & X-box was dope too and had the Marvel title logo before Spider-Man (2002). Blade Trinity is considered the worse of the trilogy. Michelle's facial expressions during that opening of the film, priceless and worth a like and a comment all of it's own! Sorry I have but one like to give. 👍
I remember seeing this as a kid. I always thought Nyssa was too good looking to be that dude's daughter. The jaw opening moment though was burned into my head for awhile.
A lot of the actors in this movie were in The 1st 2 original hell boy movies . Ron pearlman played hellboy , the actor who played nomac played the main villain in hell boy 2 . The vampire that blade killed in the live girls booth was in hell boy 1 was the actor who played the lawyer , he played the main villian in it
Nomak is played by my dear friend Luke Goss of the huge 80s boyband "Bros". I saw the movie twice but it's a little too violent for me and didn't recognise him at all. We were having coffee in London once and I was telling him about it, that a movie role like this would be ideal because nobody would expect it, (he was moving into acting from music).... He just looked at me. Didn't say a word 😂 It's been a running joke between us ever since 🙄 I DID recognise him in "Hell Boy II" though! Actually he's got a very distinctive voice and a very striking face, I just didn't recognise him under the makeup because I wasn't expecting to see him. So wasn't really looking 😳😆🇬🇧
Yay! Love this movie. I think Blade 1 and Blade 2 are equal and on par with eachother, for differing reasons. Blade 1 had more of the campy humor bits that actually work due to Snipes acting ability. Blade 2 is more serious, which i always prefer, if given a choice. Soundtrack is amazing too.
Nomac was in pain after wrongfully Being experimented on Therefore he wanted revenge on those who have caused his pain which means he wanted revenge against the vampire nation including his father nisa was disgusted to learn that nomac was her brother and that her father turned him into a monster so feelling emotionally empathetic towards her brother she decided to give him his revenge by trapping herself & the father in the facility this would lead to nomac killing his father and of course Nisa allowing nomac to decide her fate as well finally nomac Finished himself simply because he was sick of the pain which is why his last words were it hurts it hurts no more okay I'm done man-splaining this movie to you get good Thanks for the video GOD bless & have a nice day
"You obviously do not know who you are FUCKING with!" Fun Fact; Comic book artists Mike Mignola and Timothy Bradstreet worked as conceptual artists. Authentic Battle Scares Fact: Over 30 members of the cast and crew were temporarily blinded by UV lights in the vampire autopsy scene. Gun Enthusiast Fact: The two handguns that Blade (Wesley Snipes) uses are a pair of customized Heckler & Koch USP matched with laser sights and a rail-like attachment. Mythology Fact: The idea of the reapers having stingers coming out of the mouth were inspired by Polish folktales where the vampires had a stinger or "finger" coming out of the mouth that they used to suck blood rather than use teeth like the Balkan genus that is the greatest influence on the modern vampire mythology. Good Friemenies Fact: According to Wesley Snipes on the commentary with David S. Goyer, there were four fight choreographers: Donnie Yen, who choreographed the "wire fu-esque" sequence with Blade and Nomak in the cathedral in their first fight; Jeff Ward; Clay Donahue Fontenot; and Snipes himself. Goyer remarked that there was a "wonderful rivalry" between Yen and Ward/Snipes/Fontenot.
The Blade movies are just the GOATS. Blade 2 at the end had one of my top 5 favorite fight scenes of all time with Nomak. After rewatching all 3 a year ago I used to think the 2nd one was the best but now I gotta give the best film to the first one - Jay
This one is my favorite one of the trilogy. The first one was great, but I feel like this one stepped almost everything else up. The action, the villain, the horror, the gore, the fx. This movie gets a lil bit of hate for its cgi use unfortunately, but I feel like its undeserved. Some people say it has bad cgi because of a couple particular scenes earlier in the movie, but thats not true. It was still good for its time and there was a lot of other scenes that still look great and very realistic, but it never gets talked about. It even had great practical fx like with the body of the Reaper. It never gets credit for that either. I thought the villain was the best and the most intimidating villain out of this trilogy as well. He's honestly one of the most creative vampires in all of fiction to be honest. He was actually a threat to not only Blade, but other vampires as well. And that leads Blade to have to work with his most hated enemy in order to fight an even bigger threat which was a fun premise/story. If you're not the biggest fan of a lot of action, gore, and horror though, then you'll probably not find this one as good as the 1st one. Also some people just enjoy origin stories better which is also fair. 4:49 Nah the Matrix was more stylized after Blade. The first Blade came out a year before the first Matrix movie. This one is just doing more of what the first one did in terms of action and style. A lot of newer fans mistakenly think the Blade movies took after The Matrix because they have a similar look and style with the Asian martial arts and the black trench coat wearing characters with shades. But that's not true. The Matrix was just more popular. 18:56 Well since they're vampires themselves, they aren't too keen on using light. They could accidently kill or burn themselves if they start flashing light all over the place. Doubt they even like having a UV flashlight that close to them. 36:33 They mention earlier in the movie when Nyssa was examining the dead body of one of the Reaper Vampires that the heart was an option but its encased in bone so its hard to get. The heart is also traditionally a weakness of Vampires (probably because that's where all the blood pumps through). But you can traditionally kill a vampire with a stake through the heart.
The song playing in the background, when the Bloodpack was walking towards the nightclub, ("I against I", by Massive Attack) was on a CD in the locker room used by our rapid response team, at the last prison I worked at.
Finished, that was too funny, some of the faces you guys pulled, especially Nathalie (I hope I spelled it right) were priceless. If you two are up for some more vampire action, this time with werewolves, check out Underworld 2003. Looking forward to more reactions especially with Halloween looming. Have a great week.
36:30 reason he burned up and died while no sun because like they explain with the autopsy scene. His heart was encased in bone only the sides was vulnerable. He just pushed it a little deeper
The best reaction channel hands down, your reactions is spontaneous and not forced like other reaction channels, my only hope that you do daily movie reactions i feel that there's many movies that you need to cover and no enough time 👉👈 i wish that you do fright night 1985 it's a perfect fun horror comedy vampire film you'll love it 🤩🙏🙏🙏 also the good the bad and the ugly, cause it's a legendary film top 10 of all time
I love both this one and the first one for Blade movies, yes this one, the story is weaker. I look at the 3 films as 3 different tales of Blade, by 3 different people for visions. As the first one is Stephen Norrington, the same director as The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Second is Guillermo Del Toro, and you can see it, between people in the movie and writing style, as a lot of these traits end up in the Ron Perlman Hellboy movies. Then there's Trinity, that one was a mess behind the scenes, as they wanted to do it as a franchise launchpad to have Ryan Reynolds and Jessica Biel take over as part of a spinoff with Hannibal King. The problem is, anyone that knows Hannibal King from the comics, knows he's just as old as Abraham Whistler, so having a young version didn't really work. As much as Reynolds is fun in that movie, its just the execution was a little weird. Though, I will say there's fun points in that movie too, but they try to bring the real world in with the FBI, and realize, it kinda doesn't work. Imagine trying to do it these days, and the plotline they bring up in Blade Trinity, would make Blade a hero and the Vampires mainstream. It would throw everything out the window. Trinity was directed by David Goyer, whom worked upon the previous 2 as a writer, and Goyer fought with Snipes on set. So when Snipes needed to film, they reached an agreement that when one was on set, the other wasn't. Then Goyer went on to work with Chris Nolan on Man of Steel. So we all know how that went, lol.
Hi guys I enjoyed your reaction to blade too this is my favorite blade movie. Hope the third one is next on your list. Some people don't like the third movie of blade but I do cause one it's his last acting as the character. But thanks for watching this movie your reaction was the best❤❤
You held off a year so you guys probably forgot some of the plot points. The blue serum they used to cure Whistler was what the girl in the last movie had come up with to cure herself, and could possibly even cure Blade. The wrist weapon was her first version, which caused vampires to explode. It didn't work on the new vampires, that was the whole bubbling head situation.
I LOVE YALL REACTION BEAUTIFUL FINE LADIES SO GORGEOUS I LOVE ALL YALL REACTIONS ESPECIALLY THIS ONE BLADE WAS THE SAVIOR MARVEL FILMS WESLEY SNIPES IS A AWESOME MARTIAL ARTIST ✊👊
The gross out faces alone, are worth the reaction. 😆 🤣 I don't remember seeing this, but it's cool to see Donny Yen in here, along with Danny John-Jules (Cat) from a little British Sci-fi comedy "Red Dwarf" Fun reaction Ladies. 👍😎👍
I would have just loved to have seen Donny Yen do more in the movies. Haha. Just oh! Donny Yen! Oh, pretty much one short little fight with one nice kick.. ): But yes, still nice seeing him.
I'd rather have an honest reaction, over pretending to be super enthusiastic about the movie, that's one reason why I like this channel. I probably liked Blade 2 more than you gals, but I still prefer the first one.
I love this movie. I laughed so hard at your eww faces and Michelle goes into shock @17:35 & @18:10 for Natalie. “Monkey-Spider-Demon’s” eh? lol For Nyssa’s death you have to remember it was slowed down and she embraced it. 😮😅
I enjoy watching the 3rd Blade movie, "Blade: Trinity" (2004). Besides Wesley Snipes & Kris Kristofferson the supporting cast of Ryan Reynolds, Parker Posey, Jessica Biel, Natasha Lyonne, & Dominic Purcell add to a good script.
This is from Guillermo del Toro noticible for the tragic aspect of the storyline and of course its amazing being a product of its time!... THE Best from him is still the sublime "Pan's Labyrinth"
I could never get past Blade 1's vampires in daylight. Cause...sunscreen. If you're going to circumvent a major part of the mythology it has to MEAN something. It can't just be thrown in as a silly little thing.
When blade hit him the broken sword he went through his side into the heart, essentially the dude probably woulda died anyway after that, so he forced it the rest of the way in himself to make it faster
the blood pack is Hellboy, Vince from The Fast and The Furious and IP Man. i dont really know the other actors and as you already said Daryl from the Walking Dead.
@@sjw4life546 Its just how popularity works sometimes unfortunately. More people know and watched The Matrix movies first, and those movies inspired a lotta other movies after it so they just assume this copied after those movies. That's one of the many reasons why Wesley's Blade deserved more credit. That and the fact that he helped save Marvel and inspired more Marvel movies down the line.
Great movie and reaction. I liked the movie a little better than you guys did but I agree with you 100% that Blade is a great character and Wesley Snipes played him perfectly. It's a shame that Snipes won't be brought back for the upcoming Blade reboot.
Great reaction, and I loved your facial expressions throughout :) This 1 had more gore I think than the first. I remember watching this years ago on dvd, and I think I do prefer the 1st one more. I had forgotten Norman Reedus was in this. You may also recognize Ron Pearlman(bald guy with the sunglasses) He played Hellboy. You mentioned the action style like The Matrix, and I also thought a bit of John Wick as well. Never read the Blade comics, but enjoyed the trilogy. Happy Sunday ladies, and looking beautiful as always 🙂
After seeing this, the Deadpool joke is funnier. Saw all 3 in theaters. Natalie's wincing during the autopsy scene was entertaining. I hope you watch the non-MCU 2004 The Punisher. I think you would enjoy it. My first introduction to Blade and the Punisher was the in the mid 90's Spiderman cartoon.
Facts! Especially with the Matrix comparisons. If anything, The Matrix was inspired by the first Blade movie. But because most people have seen the things that came after Blade, they think this just copied other stuff of that era.
Blade 2 is more stylised but blade 1 is better at it and better story and better final fight. Blade 2 had better pre final fights and better sets and setups and gadgets
"IDK why she offered herself up. Like why didn't she fight?" She wanted to die. Simple as that. Her father betrayed and used her, her entire world was shattered, and she just was done with it. He turned her (rather than kill her) out of jealousy for the life he wanted from their father that she received.
@@ForceOfLightEntertainmentPlease react to the 1st two Hellboy movies from Guillermo Del Toro you'll like them. Guillermo Del Toro is the director of Blade 2. Don't react to Hellboy(2019) it sucks. Hellboy(2004) & Hellboy 2 The Golden Army (2008). I'm waiting for Hellboy The Crooked Man(2024) to come out later this month.
Hope you watch Blade 3 aswell, it is part of the trilogy. Certainly not as good as the other two movies but stil has great action, oneliners and some nice cast members. e.g. Deadpoolbutnotreallydeadpoolbutalsostillabitdeadpool. Flaws are present for sure, I mainly don't like the big bad and the presentation around all that. But you could watch far worse movies and its still a great reactionmovie.
Ladies, idk if you know or not but there’s actually a 3rd movie, Blade Trinity, making it a 3 movie series. I think y’all should watch it at least just shxts and giggles. But to answer your question, I love all 3 movies, but have to admit the first one is nearly flawless.
And that is why Blade 2 is nowhere near the conversation of sequels that are better than their originals. Now complete the trilogy since you've seen Deadpool and Wolverine to see how it ties together with Blade 3
Share your thoughts, subscribe and give the video a 👍🏻💚
50K by December, Ladies you are aiming to low in my opinion. 100K all the way! You have a great channel, always fun to watch!
My personal favorite out the Blade trilogy. "Reapers"!
What an era. Same director as Ron perlman hell boy movies
blade II rocks ! guiller del toro is a genius director
Yes you are right the first Blade movie was legendary and much better
Most people have forgotten that the first two Blade movies saved Marvel from completely going bankrupt and throwing in the towel on movies and TV... that created the MCU.
They certainly helped along with the first X-Men film in 2000 and the first Spider Man film and the 2nd Blade film both in 2002.
Spider-man will always be in the history/trivia books for the 1st movie to open with $100 million for the 3 day weekend.
Very true but of course as per usual a black man doesn't get credit they deserve
And think about this , Wesley wanted to do a black panther movie but got 2 do blade instead
Kinda hard to forget when y'all comment that on every blade video on every platform.
When Guillermo Del Toro does fantasy/horror it's always a step above anyone else.
I've been saying Disney should give Del Toro all the money he needs and write and direct the MCU Blade, and if he writes one that's not in the MCU then so be it we need Blade to be in the MCU.
Nyssa allowed Novak to bite her because she had lost faith in all that she was,
due to her father's actions and disregard for her and her brother,
and wanted a peaceful death via sunlight.
She also wasn't expecting Nomak to try and turn her. She just wanted him to kill her like he did their father.

The first great sequel of Marvel's golden age on film (1998-2007) and his return to action was glorious, less than 2 years after X-Men (2000) and over a month before Spider-Man (2002).

Just FYI, the first Blade movie came out the year before The Matrix. Great reaction so far, I'm watching as I type.
Thanks!
I always find it weird when people reference something that came before as copying something that came after.
Hear me now
This Blade sequel was the first Blade I watched as a kid
Be sure you guys react Blade Trinity
Dracula is the third main villain
When they attack Whistler in the sewers it's showing they were ALWAYS going to turn against Blade. That's the point.
Yeah! But Blade already expected that they would.
Well I dare say they started the look, but the matrix polished it
It sucks to be a head of its time because now that people have seen all the copies first, now that can’t appreciate the originals…
Facts! Especially with the Matrix comparisons. If anything, The Matrix was inspired by the first Blade movie. But because most people have seen the things that came after Blade, they think this just copied other stuff of that era.
@@dylanhopkins5934Yeah it annoys the hell out of me everytime I hear someone say it, and I feel like I hear it said often.
The final scene in the first movie was set in Moscow.
Bravo.
Blade 3 good its basically Deadpool prequel
Blade 2 is more stylised but blade 1 is better at it and better story and better final fight. Blade 2 had better pre final fights and better sets and setups and gadgets
I did like all these Blade movies
First was pretty good, second was more of a Wesley Snipes playroom film.
Also if you like blade, you should totally check out "Constantine" starring Keanu Reeves.
Highly slept on film
Off topic note: You to ladies have a striking resemblance with music duo Baccara. (yes sir i can boggie)
React to society of the snow... Based on a true survival story
"IDK why she offered herself up. Like why didn't she fight?"
She wanted to die. Simple as that. Her father betrayed and used her, her entire world was shattered, and she just was done with it. He turned her (rather than kill her) out of jealousy for the life he wanted from their father that she received.
32:28 I like that they incorporated a WWE move called the jack hammer by superstar legend Goldberg
Matrix came out between Blade 1 and Blade 2.
I LIKE YOUR ACCENT
Blade 2 is Great! Love this movie! I enjoyed the reaction! 😊
Thank you!!
You're welcome! 😊
I'm waiting for Hellboy The Crooked Man(2024) to come out later this month.
repeat after me... "these aren't the droids you're looking for 👋 SUBSCRIBE NOW to FOLE! 👋 move along..." there! that should do it 😉🤪👍😁
Great movie ladies!
Never seen this in the day.
Cause I'm racist😊....
Towards vampires
Isn't that speciest? Specist? o.O :P
2 sexy beautiful women.
Originally Wesley went to Marvel to do Black Panther...
This one was horror the first was action. I choose horror.
Hello, Nat!
Ladies, idk if you know or not but there’s actually a 3rd movie, Blade Trinity, making it a 3 movie series. I think y’all should watch it at least just shxts and giggles. But to answer your question, I love all 3 movies, but have to admit the first one is nearly flawless.
Fun fact. This movie is referenced in Deadpool 1.
👍
Nomak didn't like what he was so he killed his dad who made him, when blade finally won Nomak can finally let go
really good movie
The Matrix actually was stylized after Blade which came out a year before.
I agree the first movie was much more enjoyable to me than the second one. Thanks Michelle and Natalie 😊
Thanks KB!
I guess you haven't watched yet "The Magdalene Sisters"(2002) and "The Help"(2011), these are strong movies, I hope you'll do them )
Just subbed....Michelle with 2 Ls😂
Subscribed! Mostly because Natalie is a Hot Red 😉
Wes put BLADE and MARVEL on the map! THERE IS ONLY ONE BLADE!!!!!
And that is why Blade 2 is nowhere near the conversation of sequels that are better than their originals. Now complete the trilogy since you've seen Deadpool and Wolverine to see how it ties together with Blade 3
Please add the 3rd Blade movie with Ryan Reynolds into the watch que. It shows you why Blade doesn't like Deadpool (R.R.)🙂
That last fight sequence had enough CGI for 5 movies. Even watching the first time, I was turned off by that.
No where near that. And the cgi still looks good so I don't see the problem some people have with it.
what are the chances of y'all reacting to ninja assassin ?
Blade 3 movie 🍿 reaction please my friends 💖💞💗💓🤝
Yes you are right the first Blade movie was legendary and much better ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
