To imagine that the kids in this video are now our elderly. 😭
Hearing the narrator's accent reminds me of my late grandfather. His English accent sounds exactly like it. I miss him so much. 😢😢 I think you can hear that accent alot with the elite Filipinos today.
Christian Dimatulac I’m sorry. I know what you mean. :(
The “farmer” narrating was an American imitating a Filipino accent and doing a bad job at it. The accent is very inconsistent and sometimes switches between a mexican to a stereotypical asian accent. I think you mean your grandfather’s accent was similar to Eddie Garcia’s.
@@purple54997 Similar but not quite. Eddie's accent was very Filipino imo, my grandpap was a Spanish-Filipino, he can both speak Filipino and Spanish and so was his English accent was kinda mix of both Filipino and Spanish (I guess) 😅
This english is like my grandmother's english and I'm from Philippines this 50's english is soo good
No it’s not, it’s pretty terrible actually. The “farmer” who was narrating isn’t actually a Filipino but an American doing a terrible job imitating a Filipino accent.
Brings me back the old days when Grandma tells stories.
Nostalgic reactions. Be safe! Cheers!
Same my grandma tells story and I miss her❤️
3:42 i remember how i used to roll up our mat...bed sheets and all 😁 hay life seem so simple those days...
What a cool video. I also like to watch old documentaries. Real throwback vibes for sure! Stay safe and happy Friday 🙌💯📽
I cracked up when George said "Nintendo Switch" 🤣
The urban scenery in the beginning is the escolta area around quiapo... there are circulating photos of it pre-war and why they call the Philippines the "Venice of East"...
It’s throw back. I missed my grandfather’s nipa hut in the middle of the farm. I missed racing carabao with my cousin too. Life is so simple no complications at that time.i remember too that I’m so afraid of going down the bamboo stairs, I feel like I’m going to fall anytime 😁😁😁 or is it bcoz I’m afraid of heights.
You might want to react to "Manila, Queen of the Pacific 1938" if you want to see some old footages of Manila in its glory days early in 1900's.
Usually Filipino House has a high of what we called "silong" to prevent floods and the silong also is where we put the firewood and carabao cart.
Gabriel sanchesz nung pinag sasabi mo fake accent. Ganun talaga sila magsalita. Di ka pa siguro nakaka rinig ng matatanda na nag eenglish...magagaling sila..
Trueeee
I love this! It’s a peek at my grandparents’ time. Wow! They would have been 31 in 1956. Kind of breaks my heart a little.
I remembered when i was 7 years old my grand father and auncle took me to the farm and help them to harvested the rice i was so enjoyed because , many fruits there.
Bring back memories.
My grandparents are just like this when talking in English.
i grew up in that era. It was simple but enjoyable. We enjoyed playing with our neighbors after school. When it was time for supper, our Mom would call us for our prayers and supper. We had our chores to do but nothing matches our joy with such simple pleasures with friends and relatives.
I really enjoy watching old movies to see how they do in the past. Also like watching old british films and one can see similar conservative traits of oldies to their young hehe
Oh bring back memories of my childhood.
An amazing throwback life of Filipinos.... Wow!
Ramon must be same age as my late Dad. I love this!
When life is so simple ang filipinos has there own fashion..
Thanks George and Lucy for reacting to a suggestion I made on George's page or is it on Juicy Vlog.
WOW! what a Historical Video. thank you for watching and reacting it.
That is why I love this couple ,they never stop to learn or show the Filipino culture and lifestyle
Awesome and thanks for sharing. Those were the days were the Philippines was beautiful and life was similar.
Good morning Lucy & George 😘 let's start a new day w/a Smile 😊 ♥️🇵🇭
Hi! Juicy Reaction, Just try to react the oldest University in the World and the Oldest University in Asia, University of Sto. Tomas, I hope you notice me. Tnks
It’s not the oldest university in the world. It’s the oldest in Asia. University of Bologna in Italy is the oldest.
@@krissy7556 correct! 👍
That's where I study
Reminds me back in my childhood time! Riding karabao, lots of commons out there in our old farms,, I miss that kind of life, very Educational short film ,ang good to share for the young generations,
During that time the exchange value of one US dollar in Philippine pesos was two Philippine pesos
rodolfo de los reyes I suppose the Philippine economy still has strong ties with the US, like majority of companies in the country are from the US I think back then.
That is the Classic Filipino life! 🥺😭
We want see more videos from you guys. Keep uploading.thanks stay safe
I was born and raised in Manila .We only go to the province during School vacation time .
There's complete difference living in the City and the province.
Lifestyle is different and people are more conservative compare to the City.
No pollution, there's abundant of food like livestock , seafood , all kind of crops.
All fresh and natural that's why people who lived in the provinces mostly they have long
life span !
Hello from Las Vegas , originally from the Philippines and I've been following your Vlogs for almost a month now .
I enjoyed watching it that's why I subscribe to your channel .
Wow, amazing story. Thank u 4 sharing with us..
That's so cool! I've never seen that video before and really enjoyed watching it! I love the everyday outfits of the Manileños and Manileñas in the 50's - dresses, short-sleeved shirts, and trousers. I've always loved my mums' and aunts' dresses from the 50's and 60's, too - like the party dresses that they were wearing in the video. Contrary to the modern-day Filipino, the only one wearing jeans then was the farmer!
tiza mania ,true the one who wear jeans then were farmers and other labor intensive task.
That's the first Filipino vlogger! 🤣😂 circa 1950
And one last thing. I just finished eating dinner with my brother & my grandparents. Watching this vid before dinner makes me savor every spoonful of steaming rice that I eat.
I watched already that old film. Thanks for your reaction George & Lucy.
Ohh amazed with that video..thumbs up
Thank you Jorge and Lucy to the Documentary of Philippines
That was amazing and epic reaction
Enjoyed watching
Guys, that was awesome seeing my country in the 50's.Amazing.Memories after memories.Thank you for this video.i did enjoy it.🇵🇭🇵🇭
That is not in manila. It’s in province. Manila that time is one of the modern cities of the world.
Those rural rice fields are probably condominiums nowdays. Most of them were converted in the 90's
I've never seen this video thou.. thank you so much for making a reaction video to this one.. ♡ ♥💕❤
Thank you, I want my kids to watch the history. I want them to watch it.❤️👍
Godbless you guys.
That is old version of local villager some of those still doing like that if the whole family reunited..it so cool remembering the fast....
very informative and entertaining. keep it up guys!
Hi! Sir George and Lucy...... I always watch your Vlog.... GOD BLESS AND ALWAYS KEEP SAFE!
This kind of lifestyle is actually still pretty common here in ph, I'm seeing this a lot in our brgy
Hi! I would like to recoomend to you this video about Manila, Queen City of the Pacific, or what we called The Pearl of the Orient Seas ( 1938 )
that was an era of my parents and life in the province \, so simple and fewer people then , less crowded streete esp in Manila, Fipino traditions and our own culture..wished we could live those times too. have a great weekend on this extended season of our ECQ. be safe!
Ahhh the life in the Barrios.... hope we could turn back time!!
In the 50s I was 5 yrs. old. Life then was very simple. The most memorable was washing our clothes by the river. Sometimes after a heavy rain, we could hear the rushing roar of water collected during the rain coming from the mountain. We call it "baha" (flood.) We have to rush gathering our clothes or they will all be washed away with the rushing water. down to the sea.
Nice video, love to watch old movies also, looking back old places,. Stay safe guys 🥰
Appreciate you’re learning Filipino living..tc
Wow. Very nostalgic. Life was really simple back then.
I hope to be able to meet you guys after quarantine. I like your videos. Kudos,!!
Wow I Like Philippine History I Love It 😍👍
Thank you guys for digging deeper to our history... love u you guys😍
In the parts of the Philippines, their are still have in that practice especially in mindanao area...we still have carabao and field like old times...and I love that place..its very relaxing and refreshing that you dont want to go back in the city.
i almost forgot, 1950 is 7 years older than me, 1957 June 21 was my birth on a house via a kumadrona (medical technician learned by experienced) and my mom as assistant ha ha ha ha very good show guys....
Wow , nice watching that video. I remember my first birthday in the barrio (barangay) when I was 7 of age. I didnt have lechon but I had fried chicken, bread and suman.
Another documentary:
Tubabao Odyssey: Refuge in the Philippines
Back to the show. Back to the program. Back to the channel. And BACK TO THE BALL GAME 😁😁😁
Hello, I recommended you to watch. LITTLE Manila. The Filipino Community in L. A 1950' I think you really injoy the history of Filipinos in America. Thx God bless and keep safe...🙏🙏🙏
Our parents could surely relate to this. I grew up in the barrio too but def not this kind of setting anymore. Haha. Life back then was much simpler and indeed, people were contented.
I miss celebrating birthday in the Philippines with my family.
.watching from Vietnam
Bring back old memories....
Great source... Colored film in the 50s
Classic Pilipinas ❤️
They shouldn’t let Ramon work on his birthday🌼 Epic video.. typical Filipino lifestyle during that era. A lot different now.. 🌼stay healthy guys❤️🌼
Cool to watch throwback films.
that is why Filipinos eat rice for breaskfast because being an agriculutre land, the farmers need the calories for the hard labor in the the farm. extra rice is cook for dinner so the left over can be fried rice in the morning for heavy breakfast.
I often hear my grandparents and parents talk about the 1950s that makes me want to experience those time if only a time machine would exist
A little history show during quarantine time its nice!
Old days just chilling with friends and families

This is so nostalgic. My great grandparents talk like this too but with a heavier accent with an east asian accent.
I remember the old times life was more easy and peaceful.
My hometown Leyte province we have carabaos there
mga panahong di pa uso gudget🇵🇭❤
Pleasee support the filipino vloggers mga kabayan ko...
that was PEACETIME A CLEAN AND ORDERLY MANILA ,,Peacetime. As the poet said: Oh for the touch of a vanished hand and the sound of a voice that is gone." Leave me with my memories of Peacetime, for they are mine and mine alone. It was an enchantment, never to be experienced again.
You guys should react more of these old documentaries. There are a lot here in UA-cam
Awesome vid! Surprised with the quality of that vid. Probably remastered! Yup, simple life of the filipinos.. Just wish farmers these days get to have some help.. They are still as hardworking... But commodity prices nowadays are just crazy... Especially for them.
Yes BGC is used to be Fort Bonifacio, a military reservation, it is the home of the Philippine Army until it was sold to a private developer and now become Bonifacio global city, from the former name Fort Bonifacio.
Lovely
Notice that Dolores took her shopping basket with her, no plastic bags, kids learn how to sew and embroidery. The school starts at half past 7 until five in the afternoon. But now..plastics everywhere kids don't know how to sew, kids school time is just 4 hours per day...you can watch some at museum..😊
Love this new channel of yours.. Great job✌️✌️✌️
Ahhhh yes, I remember.....I was just 1 year. old then...... LOL!
Natatawa lang ako.. marunong talaga mag english mga tao noon 1950s hangang 1980s . Sabi daw ni lola
HI FRIENDSHIP ❤️🐷🇯🇵
Love love love... Please do the reaction for Filipino 1938. Thanks!
Elderly people said that life in the Philippines during that time is very simple but beautiful... Unlike nowadays everything changed, of course some are good, but mostly are bad... And People too changed from good to bad...
Love your vlog.
i grew up in a farm aria and still almost the same life style its fun actually the only difference now people prepare to play gadgets after work while before like 1980 to 1990 after work from the farm if we near to the river we go swim till time that we get back to work again but if were in the mountain aria sure in did we go find fruits and have feast till we satisfied.
more of Filipino culture videos pls 😄
Napansin kulang ang mga buhok talaga nong 90s pang jose rizal may gel pa 😂😂😂❤️❤️
Relate batang 90s
