I live in Oriental Mindoro, and the only way we can get to Manila is to cross over to the mainland in a ferry, which arrives at Batangas pier. We usually use "Supercats", which is a fast "people" ferry. If you have a car, you can take the car ferry. I am more than capable of driving around in Manila, and have done so, but I don't much like it, as it is FAR too confusing. So, we always hire a van driver who knows where he's going. It's way easier that way.
The world's largest pair of shoes were actually re-created after the typhoon hit it. It's still there when quarantine ends hopefully no calamities hit it then.
