I remember those McDonald's Halloween pails, had the pumpkin. Such simpler times when a trip to McDonald's was a big deal. Can we please go back to those days, if only for a little while.
I had the pumpkin one too 🎃
Going to Pizza Hut to get those “puppets” was a big childhood event. Truly. Ask any 80s kid. They remember that trip.
Man do I ever missed watching Saturday morning cartoons definitely brings back memories
McDonalds should consider bringing back those Halloween pails. Those were the coolest!
they had them till like 2013?
ebay has them online-!!!
I remember that Showbiz Pizza commercial also had a variation for Chuck E. Cheese back in the day, which was the exact same commercial, only with a few alterations. (A "mouse" instead of a "bear".)
Lots of great memories here. Happy to have grown up during this time. Thanks so much.
Ah my time machine is here again.
I was born in 1996 but I really love this channel just to see old commercials from the 80s and 90s just to see how different it was in those time plus I dont know why but I feel like I was in those years even if it's only for 5 minutes
It's amazing the 80's had this 1950's fetish. I remember all these commercials.
a highschool graduate can look forward to having a career? that sounds amazing.
I miss the 80s style cartoons. I miss it all. Damn to be 6 yrs old again lol
So many 80s commercials today! It must be my birthday!
I mean, it isn't. But it sure feels like it!
"Alf" and "Alftales" were my favorite Saturday morning cartoons of that time. Sometimes they pop up online.
I can't believe this was 30 years ago
Seeing these rare NBC Saturday Morning bumpers from '89 reminded me how fast they quit showing cartoons and doing more live action stuff in the early 90s. At least CBS and ABC (and later FOX) would still have them a few more years.
The "Wheelies??" what the...?
literally remember this like it was yesterday.
6:21- Oh my God, I didn't know McDonalds partnered with Silver Shamrock. Pumpkin, witch and skull, the three masks from Halloween III!
The white pail is actually a ghost. I'm guessing a skull was too macabre for a McDonald's Happy Meal.
Oh, you're right. I guess I just have Halloween III on the brain.
@@ExplorerDS6789 I remember having the pumpkin one. I believe (hope!) it's still back home.
I was 8 at that time. I remember all of these commercials
I had that Frosted Flakes Frisbee 🙄😒. Camp Candy was AWESOME!!! also micro racers was actually great little toys.
Man, I had that ghost pail as a kid lol.
hes been doing this since like 2008 and still making it. wow
I'm loving the daily updates! Thanks so much!
These aired on my tenth birthday.
Dear Lord. This is so 1980's. I remember it well. ❤️
I can't find those damn McDonald's buckets anywhere...
my parents used to have a couple. Probably long thrown away though.
@@TerrickTerran that should be criminal, but the same with my parents as well.
That don't do them anymore and they're so cutee!
Ebay
I had all three of those Radio Shack RC cars. They were awesome back then.
AHHHHHH I had that orange jack o lantern bucket!
Alright, alright! Just in time for tomorrow, another Saturday post to add to to my Saturday Morning playlist! 👍🏾
Thank You!
I miss the days when they had a toy in the cereal box.
This video brought many memories
They really try to make stamp collection cool
Too bad McBoo Halloween bucket wasn’t a McSkull; McDonald’s could have had cross-promotion with Halloween III: Season of the Witch.
I want to watch a kid-version of wheel of fortune featuring the wheelies.
Awesome! ~
The Showbiz Pizza/Chuck E. Cheese history is complicated: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ShowBiz_Pizza_Place
Both restaurants were owned by Showbiz Pizza at this point, which is why they used the same jingle in their advertising. Eventually all of the Showbiz Pizza locations became Chuck E. Cheese's.
Oh okay cool, thanks
I remember Kissyfur and the two different Alf shows neither of which were as good as the sitcom. I think one of them had to do with his life on Melmac and the other one took place on Earth.
i kinda miss radio shack
Night Burners-title wouldve been good for a 80s action show about car racing
Sister Kate-it's "Gimme A Break!" but with a nun instead of Nell Carter
The Cosby Show-wonder how Bill will be spending his Halloween next week..
New Archies-imagine if the CW's Riverdale had a similar opening lol
In "Gimmie A Break" Nell Carter was a housekeeper for a widower and his 3 daughters...not similar to "Sister Kate" at all
I was 9 and in 3rd grade when these aired lol
Me too!
Police Academy action figures @17:09 such a strange transition this movie series made --from a raunchy R rated adult comedy to kids toy tie in!
Rambo and Robocop had toys too lol
The toys were based specifically on the animated series, not the movies: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Police_Academy_(TV_series)
Sure did!
Wow, didn't know there was an animated series! Why? lol
Only the original movie was rated R. The first sequel was rated PG-13 and the third movie and all subsequent sequels were rated PG. By 1989 they were essentially family comedies aimed at 8-12 year old boys. An animated series made perfect sense given the direction the movies went.
The blonde in the Dance Club Barbie commercial played Margaux Kramer on "Punky Brewster" (of course I can't recall her real name now...) and why did the singers of the song in that commercial sound like Jem and the Holograms?!
Margaux's actress was Ami Foster. I'm full of useless facts.
I also highlighted that part of his post and clicked "Search Google". I'm surprised the OP hasn't heard of such a popular search engine.
12:07 Uh, what is Mrs. Huxtable doing there?
stamps are cool....said nobody ever!!!
"Don't tell that to Tyrannosaurus Rex!"
Jason Priestley at 16 On Sister Kate
Damn I'm old.
I remember watching that show 😆
WDIV Channel 4 Represent!
How do you say the 80's without saying the 80's? Pocket Rockers.
Hot wheels are amazing
I would like to know. Who would win between the Golden Crisp Bear or Popeye. Because both of what they prefer to eat gives them super powers!
Popeye and his SpinachGolden Crisp Bear and his cereal
Scratch that! Now OATMEAL gives Popeye super powers also!
What kind of dorks were that big into stamp collecting? 😆
