Pretty much, I think the rear may be bolted to the third member, not real sure.

What if I just cut the cv axle in half if I'm replacing it ? Do I have to take the hub nut off?

I honestly shouldn’t answer this question but I will, you still need to remove the hub nut because that’s what holds the axle to the wheel, the axle fits through the hub bearing which allows your car to move, if you cut the axle in half first off that’s insane and second unnecessary because once you remove the axle nut and move the strut out of the way the axle comes out pretty easily.
