I prefer this banner we had in 2021 when Louelle came out, she had a 3 step banner for 6k paid vis, you would get her on step 3 along with 400 of her shards.
If you do the 13K for the two step-up laps it gives 80 shards/mindspheres, plus 800 medals which is 80 shards. 200 shards from the purchase pack if you don't get lucky, 100 more for whale bonus. 80 Gil shards, 120 Bingo board, 300 soul stars gives 100 shards, 900 UR medals for 150 mindspheres. Plus master quest for 15 more shards, Hard quest for 11 more shards on the first day equals out to enough shards to 120 Kitone day one
They did that on Duanes release, a lot of people were angry because he was op at that time, if this new heros are not meta ground breaking as he was then its all good.
Ever since Road to Worldwide I've not spent on this game due to the devs basically destroying my trust with them. I'm going to break that streak this week because I want to get Kitone, I've not missed a Dark unit and I really like her kit. It's actually incredibly shitty that the devs don't have a step up anymore and honestly they really seem to be doing everything they can to get money before an eventual EoS announcement. I don't think it's anytime soon but I am starting to see the cracks. Can't wait to see how light the "global anniversary" will be next month.
I am F2P and I didn't pull for Kitone or Shadowlynx. I just threw everything at Nier. Now just thinking even if I don't go for these 2 units. Should I still just get the VC? hmm

I would've definitely done a 9-step for them both though, then I would whale it out if new Jeume ever comes out because Id be out of vis then. I agree hook up the whales, but no one is risking 40k pity for 70 cost units imo

I'd love to be able to afford regular pay packs, but the reality is I'm always broke and that will never change unfortunately. I think set price paid characters is phenomenal for those who spend regularly. I also think the prebuilt lv120 old units for 2k paid is fantastic. I think they should continue those and still take care of f2p. We need as many players as possible and free players are just as important. If it's only pay, then your income will separate good players with easy targets. With no free options to help catch up with big whales. Try to think of everyone.
With China and the EU both passing laws that will soon ban Loot Boxes from games, this is a smart move for Square and Gumi. If it was exclusively still loot boxes, this game would be banned from half the world, entirely.
Let me purchase all units, make a price point for each tier, and separate purchase for upgrades, I’m tired of purchasing a randomly good character and finding it doesn’t do well with my teams. Or have you only play as the story characters in story mode, that would give you an experience to try a new character and then want it, and not hope for the best.
I think you're avoiding a key point of your argument: How does your proposal make the game more money? I believe the answer to that question is encouraging FTP players to play the game for longer, thus making more money through advertising (or, for light spenders, more money through the 30d visiore pack or something similar). I know, personally, there are portions of this game every day that make me want to quit playing. I'd much rather play something like star rail that A) is more straight-forward for building characters, B) has a more straight-forward pity system for banners with only a single type of currency to worry about, and C) has more straight-forward gameplay with events that are accessible to newer players, line up with the storyline, and are not so overwhelming.
So 100 cost warrior of the crystal units get different treatment than normal 100 cost units so I would expect that 70 cost crystal warriors would also get a different treatment...I expect that normal 70 cost units in the future will still have the guarantee 9 step and if they do not, then at that point I think I would be upset...but these are specialized 70 cost units so I think it is crazy to have expected them to be treated as past reg 70 cost units
Imo it’s definitely worth it. Especially since you can try with the free tix and the 300 paid. I saw my first walkout since last April with the 300 for Lunacestus :) but I did have to get the previous 6k pack. I don’t think this stays though, the 9 steps probably return soon.
Im hesitant to pay 75$ (CADs) for a 70 cost unit. A very good one for my main element, yes, probably, if it doesnt come out during the winter when Im poor. Otherwise, I dont see myself doing this much

First you need to get all MR vision cards and complete their quests if your units are strong enough, then some of my recommendations are Galmia coat, black garb, soul of thamasa, santa coat, and Alexandrite ring, get at least 1 +6 Critical Alexandrite ring, it will help you deal against pesky evade enemies a lot.

Black Garb and Winter Coat should be Dodge, Knight armor should be Barrier, Alexandrite ring should be critical, all other gears aren't really relevant, they're niche at most
I think this is okay because F2P players have to be very picky about which units they pull on, they have to pass on a number of units. The chances that a F2P would be compelled to pull to pity this character (representing what, 2+ months of saving and passing on other more competitive and powerful units) is VERY small. The odd person frustrated by this move in exchange for the large mass of players that feel like they get a REAL break for contributing money and ensuring the continuing success of the game, is just not sufficiently consequential in my opinion.
Being able to buy a unit is good, if the value is there. $45 for a single character that is arguably already obsolete outside of limited-cost content is not a good deal. In the WOTV universe they have made it a "good deal" compared to the value of the 40k vis you'd normally risk spending, but let's call a spade a spade; outside the scope of the game that is an atrocious use of money.
If players were expecting brand new Warrior of the Crystal units for 18K, they weren't being reasonable. Brand new Warriors are always brutal. It's a good thing that they put something else in the game for these 70 cost Warrior of the Crystals
Why not just sell everything and remove it from the Gatcha genre. Prove them that the game does not need F2P players and let's see how the game does. Meta-defining or not WOTV is a GACHA game. No wonder this type of game developer is far from celebrating its 10th anniversary.

Best investment in this game Ive made so far. Cloud came out the next week or the week after & I used Louelle to wreck him for a year.

I got her for 1k and lynx for 2k. Both are 89 right now for me. After almost pity for A2 that was a relief.
