After six years of supporting the Iron Dames they have finally achieved that goal of an all female team winning a wec endurance race. Well done ladies 🏁👏👏👏
farewell LMGTE, i never quite understood why you had to be special and different to GT3 but by god did you give us some good racing, rest well and may your little GT3 siblings carry on your legacy
GTE was ACOs baby, GT3 was SROs baby and they did not want to share but GT3 was more customer focused and raced everywhere so ACO had to fold eventually if they did not want it to become just Porsche vs Ferrari like the old GT2 days, its a smart move.
What a poetic ending to the LMGTE era with Iron Dames winning their first-ever race in the last-ever LMGTE era. Women do belong in motorsport and this race shows it ❤❤
Im gonna miss a lot the GTE cars, still have memories of 2018 of Ford, Porsche, Aston Martin, Ferrari, BMW and Corvette going full throttle down Mulsane.

@FlashoftheBlades it's just strange because I think the most even race of the year was Le Mans because every manufacturer (apart from Vanall) led the race legitimately!

The factory RSR was a denied a win last year....Iron Dames have given it a proper farewell. You guys have been working hard, certainly deserving the win.🎉

As we once bid farewell to the LMP1 series, we bid farewell to the GTE class as well. Congratulations to everyone, Toyota for winning the championship, Ferrari for returning this year with a banger car and proving they still got it after 50 years at Le Mans, and especially for Iron Dames for winning their first WEC race, a final ride fit for that Porsche. it's a real pleasure to see the iron dames win!! but fed up with the 2 toyotas who trust the podium, and peugeot is "out" as usually!!
Horrible BoP for Hypercars. Cadillac was equal with Porsche in IMSA but in there it's slow just like Fuji. Toyota was overpowered like an other class. They overtook every car after rammed by Cadillac.
Gratz for Iron Dames tho. Well deserved one. Goodbye for LMGTE. I'm gonna miss the years with Ford GT LMGTE.

And with the demise of GTE, both GT categories that were active in this style of sports-car racing when I began to follow it regularly are now gone. Three if you include the original GT1.
Toyota had done it for years and they had a 3 year head start due to it
Or maybe it is the way around? IMSA is American series no? Cadillac is American, no? Toyota just has a lot more experience in the LMP game, and much more active in motorport, and has bigger budgets I presume.

@@mclarenf1gtr99 in prototype racing era Porsche has better experience. In Audi- Porsche era, Toyota was nothing. About history also Porsche is there for decades.
Also hypercar category created because LMP1 costs a lot. With high cost big teams left that category and Toyota was the only one after 2018. Hypercars supposed to be cheaper and since such thing exist as BoP, teams wouldn't get in a development race . Because development race costs money and nobody wants that. That's opposite of Hypercars nature.
IMSA is American series true. BMW, Porsche, Acura and Cadillac won race in IMSA. From the start to the last race there is a championship battle between Action Express racing Cadillac, WTR Acura, numbers 6 Porsche Penske and number 25 BMW fought the entire season. You cannot predict who's gonna win which means BoP done properly.
I stopped watching after 30mn when I saw M Conway catching up with the Porsches in 5th and 6th position. Except Le Mans, this season was a failure in the Hypercar category. I thought WEC would become more interesting but it is as boring as F1 or WRC. Thankfully, GT racing offer us way more competitive races.
As far as the Toyota victory goes, I really don’t care. It was Ferrari that took that victory at Le Mans on their return and that was the best race I’ve seen.

2023 le mans was not the best race, the Fia needs to get the rules right, the win was affected by bop, in F1 I can say it is the team performance win the race, in wec I cannot say the same. But that is the FIA problem.
