Great season. Still feels kinda odd 6 months later, that the FIA chose Lebron James to start the centennial Le Mans race, when people like Jacky Ickx and Derek Bell are still, very much alive and active in the world of racing.
Agreed. You wouldn’t have Stirling Moss open the tennis, or Dicky Attwood declare the basketball season open. Yet we get Lebron and Rafa starting the 24. Nothing against those guys of course, but Le Mans has its own stars who are vastly more relevant to the event and the sport.
It was a good year with good racing, dont get me wrong, but toyota winning every race but one hardly makes it a GREAT season, even if ferrari did win lemans 🤷♂️ if we can get 3-4 manufacturers to win, and a closer title fight, then ill call it great. Just simmer down a little bit there wec lol its only been 1 season dont start patting yourself on the back too much yet lol. You got us cool new cars, ill give you that. Would be nice to see more of them up front tho

A season to remember records to written in books and an old classy anniversary we never seen before, the Ferrari comeback in hypercar was something we missed, Cadillac, Porsche, van wall it's stunning how they finance this! Toyota back to back 1-2 triple title, Ferrari win at le mans historical, An all women team win a race in wec a lot we got 🤩⚡🍾🏆🏁🎉
2023 shows that WEC/IMSA really become their own while F1 just focus on their Andretti drama and just sticking to their same format Possibly the last year i will watch it sadly as its the first motorsport i watch became something it’s not

I only started watching towards the end of last year. I'm so excited for the new season now that I know more about the classes, cars and drivers. It's going to be a blast!
