As one of the founding drivers of the Iron Dames, Rahel Frey is one of the most successful active female racing drivers. She started karting in 1998, becoming the first female driver to win a German Formula 3 race in 2007.
As one of the founding drivers of the Iron Dames, Rahel has played an integral part in the project's development and now takes on new roles outside of racing to support the team.

It was really bad luck which has plagued the team here and in the Michelin Lemans series. Sarah was hit in the back by a car at that start, which apparently damaged electronics including the equipment that sends information back to race control to monitor compliance with the rules. It could not be fixed so the car was retired.
