Just a note, the 330 mm height is at the center. You lose a little height on the sides because of the mechanics, however the slicers don't appear to be able to take this into account. Mine should be here some time in the next hour, and I've already got the replacement cooling nozzles printed out. Out of the box that seems to be the most important and simplest upgrade. I got this machine to speed up my workflow, especially prototyping. You can't tune it to speed it up much, because the acceleration is already set to 6000 mm/s^2. That's why it's so exciting to watch. Even if you set it to much lower print speeds it still beats a bed slinger by a long way. I'll be trying it at 200 mm/s for some things without fine features, but I'm definitely expecting a limit on how fast it can go for prints with finer details.
Totally agree about the fun factor! I still watch mine print. My first printer was a Q5 and almost three years later it's still going strong. A bit noisy mechanically but still making beautiful prints. Biggest weakness is printing anything with holes! I'm still using the original stock bed and adhesion is crazy good. Upgraded the extruder and that's it. FLSun support is great and I recommend the brand. That said, I think my Delta days are over as I'm ready to give coreXY a try. Thanks Fedor!
Great video. I love my super racer as I have had mine for about a year now. Highly reccomend a wham bam PEX flex plate to fit onto it. I had adhesion issues with the stock glass and the flex plate has done wonders!
I have the Fl Sun QQ-S Pro Delta Printer. It is a nice printer, I upgraded the glass bed area by removing that glass bed and installing a PEI Sheet instead. Mine has the carbon fiber arm rods and the bowden tube system, I not sure if mine would work well with the Direct drive upgrade kit as the point of the hot end on this system is lightness is needed for the head to move fast. The upgrade would add too much added weight to there and cost allot of money too! On mine the auto leveling is the same as this one with the removable leveling probe. The Micro SD Card is the same and the reader is too and I love the way the card sit under the usb reader. The main moan I have is the hot end is hard to get to you have to do allot of careful unscrewing of bolts in a set order to release the hot end unit from the fans and it has to be put back the right way too. The V6 hot end is good But I really wish it been a Volcano V6 one since mine is a Pro machine. The other problem I have is the cables from the top to the hot end would need to be cut then soldered again if I needed to change the heater or thermistor as there is no quick release clip type cables there unlike yours. So not a user help there as not everyone is happy or good at soldering? One feature I was pleased was on the menu was, the setting of allowing for any middle dip or bulge on the bed so the printing allows for this by the mm size you set it to? Because on the bed I got being PEI on top of the glass one there is a tiny 1 mm bulge on my bed in the middle. ( and no air stuck under the magnetic layer ) Mine sound a bit like R2 D2 bleeping as it works. Also mine makes a rumbling noise through the work top then down through the floor cupboard then down through my spare room floor in to my front room below. I can't hear it in the spare room it's self just downstairs in the room below. I may have to put rubber between the work top and the cupboard to filter out the rumbles? Shows that the big rubber printer feet don't help with this? As for the Flexible TPU printing stuff, I found mine does it fine even though the bowden tube is long and the retractions are around 6.5 mm. I get great TPU prints no problem and no special settings needed just set the temps and flow right and it is fine. 😉
I've got the QQS-Pro, the machine before this. I upgraded to a PEI Sheet. I have to say I have since become bored with it, but I think that says more about me than the printer or its capabilities. It's certainly noisy, mechanical sounding but it still prints nicely. Bit slower by today's standards, but for me speed has never really been much of a consideration. Love the ability to upgrade it so much with different parts etc, but I'd rather have a 2nd machine before I go tinkering with the first etc, just in case. - I think I should have started with a bed-slinger before going to Delta, it might have made me understand some of the more important concepts first at a deeper level. But, never too late to learn. Interested to see you upgrade to Direct Drive and test out the speeder pad, although I think the Creality Sonic Pad is a better option if that can be made to work with it instead.
Man i want one so bad. The SR is over 600$ plus tax so it is just a tad over my budget. And the V400 is 1300$ plus tax so that one is out. I have the anycubic kobra right now and have a Sovol SV06 on the way. But one day i will have a FLSUN for sure. They look amazing and quality is there.
I actually passed that machine on. I missed it so much though, I got a v400. I wouldnt wait, get that Speeder Pad unboxed and installed. It’s a massive upgrade in my opinion. Later when you get used to it, you can install vanilla Klipper on it and clean it up big time. Makes it even better.
I have a QQS and have never been really happy with it. It looks like the things I had issues with my machine they addressed with this one. If I was in the market I would buy this. Heads up for there QQS Foxies firmware makes that machine ten times better.
@@3DPrintSOS thank you so much for your feed back, so I have finally decided to install the firmware as per the direction o the "reduce risk of fire video" but when I power on the printer nothing happens, any idea what can be happening? thank you very much for your help in advance
@@fjjj. Could be several things. You have to make sure you are getting the right firmware for your machine. Second, you HAVE to ensure you are using the stock card formatted with 4096 bytes. This is far more difficult to do if you are on a Mac.

I'm excited for this, these machines are so friggin cool. Stop calling it a "unit"! I think that's naughty in Australia 😆
Haha that makes it even better.
Another awesome video thanks for sharing. That speeder pad is an awesome upgrade makes it even better. Look forward to a follow up video
I’m thinking direct drive extruder + speeder pad next. ;)
@@3DPrintSOS direct drive is a great upgrade seen some people put the v400 hotend on as well
Awesome video. Dude I’ve been wanting that delta since it came out. Definitely want more videos on this one.
I definitely feel like I've been missing out. This thing is super fun and rock solid reliable.
I need you to tell my wife I need one. I figure. It might go over better😂
Dude. I got you. Next live stream, bring her over and I’ll have the talk. Haha
It is an educational explanation very well told
Excellent test video, thank you very much, you did a great job!
Thank you! I need to get my hands on a V400 now that I’m addicted to Deltas.

Any of the “pads” can work as long as klipper is running and you have a config. So if you like the Sonic Pad, it shouldn’t be an issue.
Before silent drivers were available lots of people used those stepper motor dampners, I had some fitted on my Ender 2 and Cr-10 printers

The SV06 should be awesome as well. I need to unbox and test mine. But yeah, you’re not wrong. These deltas are super fun.
The FLSUN Speed Racer is currently $299 on Amazon.
Niiice. Good deal on a really fun machine.

where do you find or make the STL files for screws and bolts .. screw on caps..bottle covers etc.. ? New subscriber..thanks
McMaster Carr’s site has them when you find the hardware you need.
I would definetly be interested in seeing the Speeder Pad, any alternative to the Sonic Pad would be of interest to me!
😁😁👍👍
WOAH.. did I hear you say you'd rather have PEI over glass?.. lol I remember when you that was a different answer
Oh yea, two years ago, glass or die. PEI is king now though
I still love my glass bed but I really LOVE these Pei sheets, shhh, don't tell you know who I said that.
Can you link the stls you printed?
