So many Greats! Saved the Best for last I see. I am so greatful to have been a part of this time in skateboarding. I was Breakdancing & Riding Flatland BMX at this time & did many performances for VANS & with many of these Legends. I became quite an Novice Freestyle Boarder myself. So glad to see a revival coming! 🙌🏻

Rodney Mullen will always be the best with his speed, innovation and board control but my personal favorites are Per Welinder and Steve Rocco

There's a lot of so call pro skaters today can't even do half the stuff that these guys are doing and this is where Technical Skating was born 😊

Freestyle is such a different beast, I gotta say I think it doesn't look as fun as street skating, there's nothing like finding a sick spot to skate in the wild but this is super impressive, I never leaned toward freestyle, the closest I get these days is 360 no complys. In the same note freestyle BMX is a completely different sport than normal street BMX or BMX Racing

😅 I can go into rail stance, monster walk very well, and do the worlds most shitty Casper….
The most amazing thing is how effortless these dudes make it all look.
It looks as natural as breathing when they do it!…
So I run out to the drive way, I see the concrete, feel gravity’s effects, the sun, fear, start to truly understand that my legs don’t do things simply because I want them to.
Freestyle folks don’t get near enough respect.
A good one looks like pure magic…
The best street skaters just look like yet another street skater.

Freestyle Skateboarding is a very technical and difficult discipline. few have the domain. these guys were true legends in the sport and inspire us. as a practitioner of the style, I know all this very well. freestyle was the basis for street skating and the current scene is strong. we have many amazing freestylers around the world, keeping this beautiful discipline alive

How many of those freestylers owe their performances to Mulan. I saw many of Mulans inspiration and style in all those skaters proceeding his part of the video.
