Hello! Berea accepts about 30 new students each year from around 1000 of them that apply. I completely understand your anxiety, I felt the same way when I applied so it is not unfounded. The most important thing is to do all your best when applying and believe for the best outcome 💕

Yes, that’s what it means. The $1k is not even paid to them in the sense that you think, it’s for you to pay for things like textbooks (which you can buy very cheap from other students), taxes (intl students pay taxes per semester), and tiny semester fees here and there. So yes, every other thing is indeed not paid for

You can find the link to the application portal for int’l students on Berea’s website. They do not have a host family program that you live with; only for hangouts and whatever else the family may want to share with you 😊

hello I am trying to apply for Berea Psychology from Myanmar. My GPA in last semester become 3 because technical issues and cannot appeal to school because coup happened but overall GPA is 3.4. My SAT score is 1200. I do have a very strong extra curriculum activities with work experiences in Psychology field but I am worried about GPA drop. Hi! Yes, I believe most schools have gen ed requirements. There are a few courses that are required of you as a freshman because you cannot take your other courses without them (there’s also one for intl students). However, you do have the opportunity to slightly tweak the non-compulsory ones during your orientation week as an international student (assuming you’re one). Goodluck! 💕

Hi Tjay, the online application method was just introduced this year, hence my different experience. I suggest just following instructions for the online method. I will try to look into it to see any suggestions I might have for the new method. Good luck!

Hi, as long as you meet the minimum SAT score of 980, you can be accepted. Your GPA also looks good. Meanwhile, I cannot necessarily say more about your chances simply because it’s not just about grades. They’re important) but Berea looks at other things you submit as well, as I mentioned in this video The video also talks about the timeline.

Hi Christabel, nice to hear from you. The main expenses were for flight, pre-travel purchases & travel allowance (depending on your needs). I did not have to worry about accommodation costs since I went straight to Berea

Hello, I’ve never heard of Berea doing an admission interview for international students. They only do it for domestic students. If you’re domestic, I’m afraid I will not be able to help with that experience

My pleasure! Unfortunately,I don’t happen to have been close to any single mom on campus but from what I’ve observed from a distance, we have a significant amount of parents on campus. The college has the Eco Village apartments for families/people with kids, a daycare center, and other stuff. I have heard that professors are also usually understanding and accommodating when it comes to student-parents. If only I had someone to connect you to but I don’t 💜

Hi Kingdom, thanks for watching my video. 1. Yes. You can still apply to Berea. However, if it’s clear to them that you’re already in college, you cannot be accepted. So it’s more about what you’re doing in Poland than simply being there 2. Yes, an English test is compulsory for Berea. 3. Application is now online, there is no hard copy document except maybe the English test? Can’t recall the specifics of this part, I would suggest looking at my application process video for that. Hello Esther, please when does Berea notify someone about there admission status?. In my confirmation email they said February but in there website they said mid-march so I'm kinda confused.
Hey! They sometimes send admission emails up until the end of March so you can hope for February as they said but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible after that :)
As long as your test scores meet the minimum requirements, you can reuse. You should improve other things you can change though e.g personal essay and extra curricular stuff. Good luck!
No it doesn’t. Entry requirements are the same for all Berea courses. You can submit your SAT/ACT in addition to IELTS if you have either but it’s optional.

@@jiniamondal6681 yes, I found out what I researched, and in some places they said that all students who pass by do not pay tuition, some pay food, books and dormitories and not to pay depends on their financial income. Other places say that there is an annual fee of 40,000 thousand, but for you not to pay you have to make a specific scholarship request. And in others they said that students don't really pay tuition or board, dorm or books, but in the first year they have to make a deposit of $2,200 in addition to the tuition $50.00 and in subsequent years they must add $1,000 a year for other expenses and that work on campus was mandatory and paid, an average of $160 a month. And finally I found a website that said that during the period of studies you didn't pay, but after you graduated you had to pay, as if it were a loan and not literally a free college. Which one is right? or none of them are😂

Hello, i really cannot tell. As far as I know, you have to translate non-English documents. You should call the admissions office to see if they would take non-English documents.
Hey! Extra-curricular activities are important for acceptance into Berea. I will encourage you to search your background well and emphasize the activities in which you have engaged, no matter how little. You need to sell yourself well. Good-luck!

You cannot apply without recommendation letters. Those letters don’t need to be from your high school teachers. An academic recommendation could be from a post-high school academic. I don’t know about GED for international students as we don’t have GED in my home country.
That isn’t mentioned in the section for international admission. Acceptance into Berea is not just about grades. You can still try if really interested.

Hello, I am unsure because Berea always emphasizes submitting all your documents at once. However, my best advice for you would be to give them a quick phone call. They might grant you an exception.
No just take the Duolingo test instead and post. I inquired and they told me that they will not be making exceptions for international students without English tests by 30th

Yes, BUT you do not need to receive any contribution from your family. That part of the form is simply to know your financial background. You can take care of your basic needs with what is provided and earned at Berea. If your parents still want to support you, it will be a huge plus!
😂🤣girl I never advised anyone to apply late pls o..I specifically even mentioned not risking it and pushing it till last minute. It’s just that some people might find out about Berea later than others with little time to get everything ready. Some might also have issues gathering everything they need on time. Imagine during my time with only one day left, I might have decided not to apply thinking it was ‘too late’. So it’s more of a worst case scenario solution😀😀

Berea is the place for you. Like I said in my reply to your other comment, you do not have to worry about getting a job because students get jobs on campus in Berea and that’s legal. Your room and board will be covered as you work on campus and you earn some money for miscellaneous stuff. If you get a good IELTS/TOEFL score and the rest to apply & get into Berea, you will be just fine. Goodluck!
Yes and no lol. You do "pay" a portion of room and board fees *indirectly*. It's indirect because they don't exactly collect the money from you after you are paid for working, it's just that you indirectly pay by working if you understand. Every other thing is personal expenses or tax which you can cover through summer savings and/or semester income.

You're welcome! As far as I am concerned with Berea College, you do have to show proficiency test regardless. Perhaps you could email them to see if they would grant an exception as I never tried when I applied.
Hey there, The college’s website doesn’t address this so the admission office will provide the best answer to your question. I imagine that it would be refundable though. Do reach out to them!
Berea only accepts students without an undergrad degree. If you are not done with your degree and don’t mind starting over, you can can apply as a fresh candidate to Berea. Another option is to see if some of your credits will transfer from your current university and apply as a transfer student.

You only send documents that you did not upload online. If you uploaded all the required docs, you are not to send anything by mail. I hope that helps!
I do not have clinicals since I am only a pre-veterinary student. That will be something I will do when I get to vet school. But I know nursing majors have clinicals during their studies

How long does it take them to get you admitted
Hi, as long as you meet the minimum SAT score of 980, you can be accepted. Your GPA also looks good. Meanwhile, I cannot necessarily say more about your chances simply because it’s not just about grades. They’re important) but Berea looks at other things you submit as well, as I mentioned in this video

Hello, I’ve never heard of Berea doing an admission interview for international students. They only do it for domestic students. If you’re domestic, I’m afraid I will not be able to help with that experience

Universities do not offer visas…the embassy does. The school offers admission & you apply to the US embassy/consulate for your visa

My pleasure! Unfortunately,I don’t happen to have been close to any single mom on campus but from what I’ve observed from a distance, we have a significant amount of parents on campus. The college has the Eco Village apartments for families/people with kids, a daycare center, and other stuff. I have heard that professors are also usually understanding and accommodating when it comes to student-parents. If only I had someone to connect you to but I don’t 💜

Yes. You can still apply to Berea. However, if it’s clear to them that you’re already in college, you cannot be accepted. So it’s more about what you’re doing in Poland than simply being there
2. Yes, an English test is compulsory for Berea.
3. Application is now online, there is no hard copy document except maybe the English test? Can’t recall the specifics of this part, I would suggest looking at my application process video for that.

That is not for international students. The latest for intl students is Jan 15

Hey! They sometimes send admission emails up until the end of March so you can hope for February as they said but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible after that :)

As long as your test scores meet the minimum requirements, you can reuse. You should improve other things you can change though e.g personal essay and extra curricular stuff. Good luck!

No it doesn’t. Entry requirements are the same for all Berea courses. You can submit your SAT/ACT in addition to IELTS if you have either but it’s optional.

@@jiniamondal6681 yes, I found out what I researched, and in some places they said that all students who pass by do not pay tuition, some pay food, books and dormitories and not to pay depends on their financial income. Other places say that there is an annual fee of 40,000 thousand, but for you not to pay you have to make a specific scholarship request. And in others they said that students don't really pay tuition or board, dorm or books, but in the first year they have to make a deposit of $2,200 in addition to the tuition $50.00 and in subsequent years they must add $1,000 a year for other expenses and that work on campus was mandatory and paid, an average of $160 a month. And finally I found a website that said that during the period of studies you didn't pay, but after you graduated you had to pay, as if it were a loan and not literally a free college. Which one is right? or none of them are😂

Hello, i really cannot tell. As far as I know, you have to translate non-English documents. You should call the admissions office to see if they would take non-English documents.

You cannot apply without recommendation letters. Those letters don’t need to be from your high school teachers. An academic recommendation could be from a post-high school academic.
I don’t know about GED for international students as we don’t have GED in my home country.

Hello, I am unsure because Berea always emphasizes submitting all your documents at once. However, my best advice for you would be to give them a quick phone call. They might grant you an exception.

Yes, BUT you do not need to receive any contribution from your family. That part of the form is simply to know your financial background. You can take care of your basic needs with what is provided and earned at Berea. If your parents still want to support you, it will be a huge plus!

😂🤣girl I never advised anyone to apply late pls o..I specifically even mentioned not risking it and pushing it till last minute. It’s just that some people might find out about Berea later than others with little time to get everything ready. Some might also have issues gathering everything they need on time. Imagine during my time with only one day left, I might have decided not to apply thinking it was ‘too late’.
So it’s more of a worst case scenario solution😀😀

Berea is the place for you. Like I said in my reply to your other comment, you do not have to worry about getting a job because students get jobs on campus in Berea and that’s legal. Your room and board will be covered as you work on campus and you earn some money for miscellaneous stuff.
If you get a good IELTS/TOEFL score and the rest to apply & get into Berea, you will be just fine. Goodluck!

Yes and no lol. You do "pay" a portion of room and board fees *indirectly*. It's indirect because they don't exactly collect the money from you after you are paid for working, it's just that you indirectly pay by working if you understand. Every other thing is personal expenses or tax which you can cover through summer savings and/or semester income.

You're welcome! As far as I am concerned with Berea College, you do have to show proficiency test regardless. Perhaps you could email them to see if they would grant an exception as I never tried when I applied.

Berea only accepts students without an undergrad degree. If you are not done with your degree and don’t mind starting over, you can can apply as a fresh candidate to Berea. Another option is to see if some of your credits will transfer from your current university and apply as a transfer student.

I do not have clinicals since I am only a pre-veterinary student. That will be something I will do when I get to vet school.
