Hello! In our freshman year, since we did not worked in Berea during the summer, do we still have to pay to stay in Berea during Christmas? And is this money required to be paid before the break or you just stay "in debt" with the college? I'm just really confused now cause as an international student, flying from a place to another every break is complicated.
As a freshman staying on campus during Christmas, there are jobs to meet the expenses or you pay out of pocket if you can afford it. You have to pay it off before the beginning of Spring semester (the following semester). Berea usually tries to prevent the accumulation of debt. And speaking of going from one place to the other, that’s part of the struggle that comes with being an international student except you have a home in the US (family/friend).

Hey! Are you gonna be an international student? If so, no you would not be required to pay anything upon arrival as a freshman at Berea. You only have to worry about personal expenses; nothing to the school! 😊

Hello do they accept transfer international student. I have completed one year from UoPeople an American online university and if am transferring from an American university will they still ask for TOEFL if already did English and passed the exam in my class as am transferring
Hi, yes Berea accepts transfers but admission chances are lower. I’m not too sure how it works considering that your uni is online. I think you would need to speak directly with the admission team. They’re usually responsive especially over the phone

Could you show me where it says the savings cover accommodation and such because on berea.edu/admissions/costs , it mainly says “to contribute toward their expenses” which are the expenses mentioned in this video. The summer savings from subsequent years are for expenses during the semester, typically books + taxes
it is added automatically in case you got accepted. Be careful because Berea is a selective college, but you do not have to worry about anything other than getting accepted.
No, you don’t need your passport to apply but you’ll need it to receive your I-20 upon acceptance. I don’t know if you NEED WAEC but it’s the most recognized & standardized Nigerian high school exam so I’m not aware of a case where someone didn’t use it.
