I had to make y'all a little something before the end of the year! So in this first part of my US Visa Series, I narrate my F1 student visa interview experience while also throwing in some tips here and there. However, I will have (VERY SOON) consequent uploads specifically for those TIPS that helped me ace my interview. My situation was especially interesting because it was a long time between my high school graduation and college admission, but, it eventually went well. Those in unique situations similar to mine will definitely find my story & tips useful!

Two days ago I was granted granted f1 visa here in Trinidad and Tobago . I was the last person being interviewed at 10am. I felt so happy when she said those words "Your visa has been approved"

I had similar experience only that I eventually was interviewed by the stern woman I was avoiding 😂, but the for the first time in so many minutes of interviewing people she smiled and laughed with me 🥹, I just felt calm and surprised. When she approved my visa I didn’t even hear what she was saying anymore 😂… I was filled with excitement 😁. I’m really awed that our story tally

It was my first attempt and I got the F1 visa. I got approved this last Tuesday 30 May 2023. I went with no Travel History. My passport was with no any visa. I didn't smile even one time. I didn't see anything funny. I was so serious I couldn't fake a smile but was just focused with eyes contact to the consuler officer while responding to the questions. I have strong ties back home. That's why I got my visa approved. I am employed for 6 years now in the same company. I am a Logistics Manager with a good salary. I will pay my studies by myself and got 25% of scholarship from the university. I am Married. I have no siblings or parents in the US.

Hi….when you were talking about why you chose your major you said that when you spoke to them it was more summarised. Please can you make a video on what exactly you said or how you were able to summarise it better so it didn’t seem like you were blabbing
Hey Esther, you said you stated clearly in your ds-160 form what you were doing after school? Did you actually explain it in the box provided?
Hello, yes that was what I did if I recall correctly. An interview does not provide the opportunity to say everything so I felt explaining as much as possible helps

Hello, Esther. I would love to ask if you submitted your transcript from the school you studied zoology in while applying to Berea college. And did you include the school you previously attended in your DS-160?
Hi Esther how are you doing. Please I have some important questions, after watching this video, I also have the same issue about applying for college after years from high school, I want to know what did you fill as employment in your ds160 form ? And also I’m enrolled in a bsc program here, should I mention that?
If I recall correctly, I don’t think I filled in any employment in my DS160, because I really didn’t have any employment history. If I did, I may have filled in my volunteer experiences
It’s difficult to present a case of leaving your present bsc program for the US. I do not happen to have a definitive answer for that, sorry!!

Yes, the questions CAN differ depending on your situation. It will probably be less “stressful” and more straightforward in your situation.
I'm about applying for my Ds160 form. I'm nervous on what to fill on the form because i graduate some years ago from high same story as yours, my dad is gone too. Please if you don't mind telling me how you filled yours. 🙏🙏

Hi! No he didn’t ask but if you have them, you should take them just in case! 💕
What about if you're high school,does the interview change?
I’m guessing you are referring to a situation in which you would have graduated high school by the time you have to go to college. In that case, yes, your questions will differ in some ways

I have got a community college admission for AAS DEGREE wwcc please I just took my exam last year before I started planing for this ...I don't have work .just a volunteering student pastor ... The point is that I want to tell the VO that after my study at the community college I will transfer to university for my bachelors degree . and that is Making it 4yrs .should tell that or should I say after my tow years I will return to my country .please I need help
It is probably better to say you will transfer cos it makes more sense. It’s unlikely that a person just wants to study in the US for an AAS degree. But mention plans to return after the bachelor’s degree

Berea College will mention work on campus job in i-20. Because of that i can reject from getting visa
No, because the work program is part of Berea’s curriculum. It’s on the I-20 so that will not affect you

Hi, yes I would advise going with your WAEC, English test results, etc because they may ask for it.
