I beat this on veteran in the past an all i have to say is if the germans an japanese threw grenades like they did in this game they would have won the ww2.
@@Sinoops if you explore the map in the Eastern Front missions you can find many Wehrmacht and Red Army warcrimes being commited. In vendetta when you're in a building out from the fountain massacre by the Germans you can hear gunshots. And in Germany you can see surrendering German soldiers being gunned down and executed by red army soldiers. And in the semper fi mission before you go to the jungles where the machine gun is then you go to a building and you can find a US soldier being executed by a Japanese officer.

My favorite mission of the game despite that it's the very first. Pyle's death and the ambush was scary and Kiefer Sutherland is great as the voice of Roebuck.
Gotta love compared to vanguard this game actually shows the horrors of war being overly dramatic I do love the use of real historical footage and the way the game tells you about battles being fought.
I'm late but problem is that Most missions on Pacific theater is Alot more fictional than eastern front considering how many inaccurate it has on pacific theater

16 years, 16 long years since this game came out and I still love to play this game to this day. Probably the best storyline out of all the call of duty games ever made, since it's based on a true war

i remember playing this game as a kid back in 2009, my second mature game next to modern warfare, my dad bought this for me behind my mom's back and the intro scared the crap out of me when the japanese officer slashed the marine, it scared me so much that i closed my eyes looking at the intro again, it's still the most brutal but most bad-ass openings to a game i've ever seen

In reality they wouldn't throw that many grenades but the guns would kill in one shot. Which is why troops main concern is remaining unseen.
